A book about grief, loss, love and finding yourself again. I enjoyed this book. I came for a thriller book but only the ending half ended up showing those elements. However, I found myself not really carrying very much for that part. The twists were easy to guess, along with its villain. What made me stay and read this book in one sitting were the characters. I found myself emotional at how Sydney handled her grief. It was one long emotional journey for her, and reading how she struggled and slowly healed was a beautiful thing to read.

Mystery, grief, mental illness, LGBTQ: that is a lot happening in one book. However, all these elements come together to a pretty satisfying novel about a young teen dealing with the loss of her father. The characters were sympathetic, the mystery kept me guessing. I didn't love the big reveal, but the ending was pretty satisfying.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the ARC.

Such a good book with real characters. Its so much more than just a thriller. Its emotion and deals with so much grief.

This book has been on my radar for a while, but I'm not 100% sure how I felt about it. I think I wanted a little bit more of a thriller than what it ended up being. That being said, I actually really enjoyed how realistic this book seemed about death and abusive relationships for teenagers. While it's not 100% realistic, I do think it tackles some pretty real elements head on. The characters were enjoyable - though I definitely wanted more Leo.

A good addition to the YA thriller category. Some slow parts, but authentic characters, a good love story, and a nice twist.

A powerful novel with a unique look at grief and death as well as love and friendship. The book reads like a thriller but is equally a YA novel about loss. Many dark themes but overall, hopeful.

An amazing, thrilling and exciting book that takes you on a roller coaster ride and does not let up until the very end. When I thought I knew where it would go, I was proven wrong constantly. Beautifully written and absolutely captivating, it is a raw and phenomenal book
