Full disclosure: I interviewed Jordan on my podcast and found him to be a wise and experienced coach. His book is a balanced perspective on straight-talking managers who get stuff done but who may leave some bruises while doing so. Recounting his own wake-up call when he paid a big price for his lack of interpersonal skills, he advises us on how to understand those in our midst who have been called abrasive or bullies and how to tame our own warrior spirit to become more effective leaders, even in our politically correct and politically charged environments.

Who are the executives that are perceived as arrogant and bully? Sometimes managers and leaders are perceived this way when they are focused on business results no matter what. Some employment not be happy about the methods of achieving the goals. What can those executives do to gain some emphatic skills and still work with their methods of delivering business success? Sometimes we do not notice the way we made may appear to others and that makes and impression. This book provides good ideas on how to make a change in being more attentive to others, becoming a better listener and communicator and much more.
