Dane and Iris are just amazing together! I’ve had this book for a few months and am kicking myself for not reading it sooner. The unique storyline, the characters...it’s just all so good. I need to go back and read the other books in the series now!

As I've learned to expect, a beautifully written and fun read. Ms St John writes wonderfully believable stories with flawed but truly good heroes and heroines that defy expectation

2.5 rating

This was an okay read. I was not invested in the child's situation or the lightening fast romance between Dane and Iris. Iris was jus too whiny and insecure for my taste. She ruined every encounter with Dane by being so. The most interesting was Dane's family background. I wanted the juice behind his parents scandalous beginning. The next in the series is about Dane's 24 year old assistant Morgan. Maybe, her story will be a captivating one.

I was given an ARC from Harlequin via Netgalley

*Big thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review*

Dane Stewart is America's Sexiest Man Alive, a Hollywood movie star who worked hard to be one of the best in the industry. He's having bad press recently and his PR creates a damage control plot so his image couldn't be affected in front of the movie producers and social media. That takes him to register as a bone marrow donor, where he meets Iris Turner. She's a single mother whose son, Jayden, has an aggressive Leukemia and his only hope is having a bone marrow transplant. Casualties happen, and Dane didn't knew that weeks after the reunion he will discover not only he's a perfect match for Jayden, but he's the kid's father! How could this be possible, when he never met Iris before? Years ago, she became pregnant through an artificial insemination made in the clinic where Dane, in a desperate moment when he wasn't famous as he is now, was a sperm donor. Meanwhile, the attraction between them ignites but, what will happen when their connection —and the sperm issue— became public?

This is book three in The Steward Heirs series, but it's my first book from this author. In fact, the first reason I requested the book in Netgalley was exactly that (without knowing it was part of a series, of course...).

The story has an excellent writing, the scenes and situations are impeccable and, although there are moments that could be cliché, this author makes them more interesting. It was a nice twist when Dane knows he could be Jayden's father before Iris did, for example. Also, the author's knowledge about Jayden's Leukemia is obvious, which is something I always like. It's terrible when an author talks about some theme without doing his/her homework before. You notice her or his knowledge —or the lack of it— immediately as you read. And St. John made a fantastic job with Jayden's illness. Not to mention Dane's acting career, of course.

A nice fast reading that makes you believe in happy endings. Gonna look forward other books from this author, starting with book one and two of this series, obviously! Highly recommended, for sure.

Who are Dane, Whitney, Jayden, and Iris? How do the different folks know one another and in what groupings? What is Iris's biggest far? Who is Jason? Why are he and Whitney on Dane's case? Oh my... things got very interesting before Jayden's birthday party. What happened the day of was funny when what happened had Fallon running off after her son. Hooie! this was a surprise after Jason shows up at Iris's home. Read and see how things play out and if we'll get an HEA. I want to go back now and read the first two books of this series!

This is such a feel-good story. You’re immediately made to feel that Dane Stewart is a bad boy, constantly getting into trouble with the tabloids, and needing some redemption. His publicist recommends he go in and see if he’s a match for a little boy who needs a bone marrow transplant. That and some pointed interviews, should help get his publicity back on track after yet another scandal involving his love life.
Iris Turner has had it hard. After a car accident left her scarred and not able to find a man would look past those scars and see the woman she truly is, she turned to artificial insemination to give her the one thing she wanted most out of life, to be a mother. Now her son Jayden is sick. He’s got a rare type of cancer and his only hope of survival is a bone marrow transplant. After a plea on the local newstation, she finds out that actor, and Sexiest Man Alive, Dane Stewart is coming in to see if he’s a match. When the two meet sparks fly, but Iris has a lot on her hands, and he’s Dane Stewart, famous actor. Iris just knows he wouldn’t be interested in her. Especially if he saw her ruined body.
Dane felt the sparks as well, Iris is so different from all the women he’s been with. She’s real, kind, and caring. When the two spend time together, the feeling explodes. The chemistry between the two is amazing. Then she finds out the truth. When Dane was just starting out in Hollywood, he sold sperm to make ends meet. Yes, through some miracle of luck, Dane is actually Jayden’s biological father.
The chemistry between Dane and Iris leaps off the pages. It’s real, it’s raw. Neither is perfect, both make their mistakes in the story, but in the end, they get their Happily Ever After. What a wonderful story!! Now, this is the third book in the series, but I never felt lost on any of the plot points. Ms. St. John has done a wonderful job and now I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
I was provided an ARC of this story by Netgalley and Harlequin and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Red Carpet Redemption is a beautiful tale of love and heartache. A single mom who's been burned beforem Iris is wary of Dane's sudden interest in her and Jayden. Dane is on the cusp of everything he wanted out of his acting career when they come into his life. However the sparks flying between them can't be denied. My biggest complaint it there isn't much tension in the story - and when tension is introduced it's resolved very quickly. Otherwise enjoyable read.

What happens when you find out you have a child when you donated sperm to a sperm bank before you became a famous celebrity? That is the predicament that Dane Stewart has found himself in when he decides to be tested for Iris Turner’s son to see if he is a match for a life saving treatment the little boy needs.
Iris Turner had been hurt physically by a former boyfriend that left ugly scars on the lower part of he body and when she is intimate with a man he is turned off by the ugly scars. Iris wanted to have marriage and children but because of how men reacted to her body she decided to use a sperm bank to have a child.
When Dane and Iris meet in person sparks is ignited between them but Iris feels a big name celebrating like Dane would not be interested in her and a ready made family..
I love the storyline of how you can feel and have love with someone despite any flaws and status in life. All the heart feels is the love.
The characters were well developed and you can feel their emotions that they were experiencing. At one time I found myself fussing at Iris for not seeing Dane as. Real Man and not a player. I felt the hurt and pain when Dane waited to late to let Iris know that he was indeed her son’s father and Iris found out and she went off on him thinking Dane had been using her.
This was my first time reading a book by this author. My attention was held from the beginning until the end and I didn’t want the storyline to end.
I recommend this book to read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Thank you Netgalley for a ARC of this book and my review is of my own honest opinion.

I really wanted to like this story, but for some reason it didn't work for me and left me just skimping. Perhaps it’s because I am tired of Manho Heroes and the fact that this one also sold his sperm in the past for money left an icky feeling for me. I except that trope to be in other books, but not Harlequin. All I kept wondering as I was reading was that heroine may not be so special having his kid since he may have fathered God knows how many other kids by so many other women and heroine would have to deal with that in the future! Eww….

Iris and Dane were great. I really enjoyed this story. It flowed well and kept my attention. Loved the HEA ending.

Aside from a weak third-act breakup, Red Carpet Redemption is a nice story about two people who have to get over themselves to find true love.

Dane Stewart, playboy actor, is looking for an image change.  While watching a news report about bone marrow screenings, he hears the sad tale of six-year-old Jayden Turner, who’s in need of a bone marrow transplant to help cure his leukemia. Dane is also captivated by the sad eyes of Jayden’s single mother, Iris, and at the behest of his agent, Dane goes in for a bone marrow screening. To him it’s a win-win; Dane gets to possibly donate to someone in need, and look like a nice guy in the media.

He doesn’t expect that the test will reveal that he shares genetic markers with Jayden – leading to the revelation that he’s the boy’s biological father, conceived through artificial insemination.  Iris and Dane had embarked on a tentative relationship after meeting just before the revelation, and the realization – along with Iris’ insecurities and Dane’s stubbornness – throw up sudden roadblocks.

Red Carpet Redemption has a lot of good points to it; a nice romance, some unique conflicts and a sense of urgency.

Iris has scars – literal ones, from a car accident during her irresponsible youth that left her with burn marks all over her body – and is not about to let some stranger near her ailing son.  But during the course of the story, she opens up, and Dane learns to be less of a glib, Hollywood-driven playboy.

Their romance is nice and patient and sweet, and it simmers along nicely until a final twist that yanks apart our hero and heroine in the last act.  I’m not one for characters who loathe themselves so thoroughly that they’ll sacrifice their own happiness just because they can’t get out of the way of their own self-hatred.

Jayden is generally an okay kid, and I liked the various other Stewarts who lace themselves through the plot, who are acerbic and funny in turns. The conflict between simple, ordinary life and Hollywood superstardom has been explored a lot in romance, and while the observations made here have been made frequently, it’s still fun to watch Iris and Dane try to dodge the paparazzi.

But that third-act breakup tugs the book right out of DIK territory. It’s just too easy, and while it’s believable for Iris…well, I won’t reveal it.  But Red Carpet Redemption is worth a look see for its’ charming, Hollywood fairy tale plot line.

This was a fast sexy read on par with the usual Harlequin fair. Dane and Iris had plenty of sizzling chemistry. It has a very similar feel to some of Yahrah's previous titles.
