This is the second book I have read by this trio of authors, and it was great! There are three different narrators and time periods, but you gradually see how the stories of these women connect. Well written and highly recommended!

A story of strong women and the connection across time and wars. Each is fighting to survive in a world that has been turned upside down. The book moves between the stories and as the stories progress it reveals secrets and the connections between the women. As a reader I have been suffering from fatigue from World War II stories but this book went beyond the typical war story and focused on the story of the women.

Told through the voice of three different women of different times during WW1, WW2 and 1964, set in Paris and the Ritz hotel, each of them find themselves and true love during difficult times. Written by the three authors, their voices blend together in a seamless narrative sweeping across the generations that is realistic and wonderful. I LOVED this book and hated to reach the last page. A wonderful saga for everyone.

This story about three generations of women is ambitious but lacks cohesion. On their own, these three authors are excellent, but don’t blend well together.

This book was received as an ARC from HarperCollins Publishers - William Morrow in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have read a lot of Historical Fiction novels focusing on the German Nazis and all the countries they have invaded during the Holocaust. But this one was a time traveler and a romance story as well as some history influence of Paris in 1914, 1942, and 1964 and all leading up to discovering secrets of one of Paris' famous landmarks. Each woman had a different story and a different point of view of the incidents and landmarks that it brought a lot of perspective throughout the story leading to 1964 with Babs and Drew and how an unlikely pair becomes a pair that might be crucial to it all. Such an enticing and rewarding book to read and our community will really grow to love the story and the History lessons the book has to offer.

We will consider adding this title to our Historical Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
