I had a hard time getting into this book. I didn't really care about the main characters, and it was unpleasant to read. It was one of those books that I pressed on with in order to review it, but didn't want to keep reading. Sorry, this one was pretty much a miss for me.

A Mother's Lie follows Beth and her daughter Dana as their lives start to unravel when Beth's past finally come sniffing around to wreck havoc again. Her past takes the form of some extremely deceptive parents who excel in the art of being con artists. I was questioning myself throughout the book if I should be trusting these characters or not.

This novel is pretty fast paced and a fun thriller to read. I have not read anything by this author before and just based on this book, I would be interested in reading her other works. The ending felt a little rushed and overall a little anti-climactic. The journey to the end was very tense and had a good buildup with a flat result. I would definitely recommend this to others and will be doing so for those looking for a good psychological thriller!

I loved this book. From the very beginning, I was immediately hooked. Stayed up all night to finish it and am glad I did!

This was a thrill to read, as the author kept me guessing until the very last page! It is hard to find thrillers that I can’t guess the endings to, but this one succeeded! The characters and plot were also well-written! Highly recommend!

Beth Fraser appears to have the perfect life, at least from afar, but her daughter, Dana has some serious questions. Why does she have to carry two phones, have a daily check-in time and emergency practice drills. When a stranger on the street claims to be Dana’s grandmother, she demands answers from her mother. In order to keep Dana safe, Beth may have to abandon the safe respectable world she’s built for herself. A stark reminder that you can’t pick your family.

I truly thought this book was going to be a average book about divorce dysfunctional family and making your life great for you and your daughter. Oh my gosh I was wrong!!! Great read that take twists and turns one does not expect. I could not put this book down, I ended up reading for five hours trying to figure out who was the one not telling the truth! Will be recommending this to everyone, absolutely loved it!!!
