It wasn't particularly a great read but it's worth reading for a bit of fun and escapism. I didn't really relate or care too much about the characters. I did pity Eve at times, although I felt like she was being unbelievably naive and dumb. Neither Ethan nor Joe seemed like good options for a partner to me. Ethan is very selfish and self-centered, whereas Joe was just borderline creepy. He was manipulative and it seemed to like an unhealthy relationship, regardless of how much Eve mentioned his "steadiness" and "goodness".
