I actually really enjoyed this book! The characters are engaging, the story is full of action, the writing is fluid and easy to read and the romance element is full of conflict and tension making it so much more interesting than a cut and dry love story.
My only two criticisms are that I wish Gisele kept her independence from Shade a bit more. She's really strong and capable, I feel like at times we lose than in order to further the romance storyline. Also, the blurb gave away far too much information! Shade and Gisele don't even get to hell until the last 3/4 of the book, I wish I hadn't known what was waiting. It would have been so much more fun trying to unravel the mystery with the book. However these are only minor points, I really enjoyed the book and will definitely look out for the rest of the series.

Gisele is a half-demon paranormal bounty hunter who finds herself in deep trouble when she steals something for a client that is so powerful that everyone wants it. Shade, a demon, is her new coworker but she keeps dreaming about knowing him when they were children. She can't remember her childhood so she isn't sure what is real and what isn't. I really enjoyed this wild ride of demons, spells, and magic!

"House of Ash & Brimstone is an outstanding debut! Packed with deliciously dark humor, steamy romance, and heart-stopping action, Gisele is a fierce heroine sure to appeal to fans of Nalini Singh and Sarah J Maas. 5*! Can't wait for the sequels!"
