Dark N Deadly, the third book in the Federal K-9 series by Tee O’Fallon, is a second-chance romance with a different spin to it…one that includes suspense, intrigue, and tension. And with romantic chemistry that is off the charts.

In what I have come to expect from this series, and this author, the twists and turns in the story come fast and furious, with a distinctive plot that is intriguing and a dialog that is delivered with intelligence…as well as peppered with lighthearted humor throughout, keeping it from becoming too heavy.

I’ve become emotionally invested in the series and its characters…both human and K-9…and continue to look forward to the next installment.

This ARC book was complimentary…provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

DNF at 20%. I may not be in the right mindset to read this but it’s all feeling a little cliche to me right now. He’s the ATF agent with survivor’s guilt, she’s the vegetarian yoga and Crystal loving free spirit. They both have big secrets they are keeping from each other. Bad guys aplenty. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the free review copy.

Wow this book was just so good and so easy to get lost in. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I just didn't want it to end. I just couldn't get enough of these wonderful characters and I just loved getting to see their journey. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.

This story got me at the very first paragraph, and I never looked back. In fact, my heart is still racing from the journey that the fabulous Tee O'Fallon took me on. This is the story of ATF Special Agent Eric Miller whose partner is the amazing explosives detecting K-9, Tiger. They pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop, but turns out to be so much more, especially when the truck is carrying explosives, with a young man as the driver, who happened to be the little brother of the woman he left behind, Tess McTavish. When Tess gets a crazy call from her little brother, which is cut off after she hears sirens, she rushes to rescue Jesse, and runs into Eric, the man she never stopped thinking about, but didn't try to find him. See, she's been basically underground since she ran away from home at 18, but she didn't have the means to take her little brother with her, though it nearly killed her everyday, so when Eric left her behind, she left it at that. Leaving her brother behind has been messing with her head, because she suspects that her brother's trouble has something to do with their sadistic stepfather. Eric has been chasing down a psycho, who killed his friends, and almost killed Eric himself when he set off a bomb to get rid of them, and he suspects that the situation Jesse finds himself in, somehow has to do with that man's terrorist organization. Tess is hiding her past from Eric, because at first, she was afraid her brother would be sent to prison if the ATF knew of their connections, but then, because she figured that Eric would hate her if he knew who her family was. This is an intense roller coaster ride that had me on the edge of my seat the whole way, especially with all the different twists that came up, and the whole waiting for that other shoe to drop. However, there was some time for sexy times that lit the sheets on fire, and more than a few humorous moments with Tiger, who almost stole the show. So, how does all of this chaos brewing pan out?! You'll have to one click this amazing story to find out for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Absolutely adore this series! If you love romantic suspense, and strong capable characters with a furry friend, then this series is for you!

Wow! The books keep getting better and better. Such a great addition to the series. The hero is great. He’s the kind of heroes I like to read about. Smart, strong, Protective, and honorable. And of course he has a furry companion.

Heroine is strong, capable, and smart.

Romance, action, suspense, and honorable hero. It has it all.

Tee is such a great writer. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Dark and Deadly

**received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An explosive book that will have you hooked from the start. Tess and Eric will do what they can to deny they are attracted to one another but once they give it everything will be on the line. Tess has a secret and she needs to make sure that Eric doesn’t find out what it is, but soon she might not have the option to keep it to herself. And when she really needs his help, will she let her guard down and let him in? Or is the past just too much to for them to get away from?

I lost "Dark 'N' Deadly" with a computer crash and a kindle replacement. That being said, I recently was able to retrieve many of my lost books, and so rereading Eric, Tess, and Tiger's story, I fell in love with them all over again. Knowing what Tess had been through and what her brother Jesse was facing was heart wrenching. As ATF agent, Eric and his canine Tiger come face to face with the most horrible time in Eric's life, the story escalates to frantic proportions as they try to avoid another catastrophic event. The connections between all of them tells a story that is page turning drama with secrets revealed, as the clock starts ticking down to another disaster. A romantic suspense story that is fast paced that finds a HEA for everyone is what reading great stories is all about. "Dark 'N' Deadly" is one such story. **I was gifted a copy by NetGalley & Entangled Pub.** My review is voluntary and based on reading. 5 Stars!

If you enjoy reading romantic suspense with great K9 characters involved, look no further - this entire series has proved to be enthralling reads with great characters, both human and canine! This is one of those series that I keep a close eye out for new stories being released and this is another fantastic read by this talented author.

This is a second chance romance where ATF Special Agent Eric Miller has never forgotten Tess McTavish even though they'd never really had a romance before he had to disappear from her life. When he and his K-9, Tiger, find her and her young brother driving a truck which is filled with explosives the attraction between them is still there but she has secrets. Big secrets. Secrets that she's determined to keep. Secrets that could change their relationship for ever - either bringing them together or driving them apart. The secrets are about her family. They're the family he is determined to bring to justice after he was injured and his colleagues killed in an explosion detonated by her father. Can they learn to trust each other? Will their love ever stand a chance? And what about her family?

This is a moving story of trying to escape from your past and move on to a happier future that is constantly being thwarted by the family who should love you but instead are your worst enemies. It is a great addition to the series and I agree they can all be read as standalone stories. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and have no hesitation in highly recommending it and the other books in this enthralling series.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after being totally engrossed in this fascinating story.

Tee O’Fallon sets up another kickass premise with ATF Special Agent Eric Miller, who pulls over a truck full of explosives driven by a teenager in DARK ‘N’ DEADLY. Eric and his K-9 partner, Tiger, are the dream team in this romantic suspense with as much intrigue as romance, and Tess McTavish is the woman he left behind. That seems to be a theme this month…these men, right? The kid driving the truck of explosives is Tess’s younger brother, Jesse, and despite the grandiose domestic terrorism plot, the heart of the romance is whether Tess can let down her guard so Eric can learn the whole truth of her life and circumstances. Love is not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.

Dark 'N' Deadly is the third book in the Federal K-9 series by Tee O'Fallon. I have not read the previous books, and while some of the characters and situations from previous books do carry over I was able to enjoy this story on its own. However, I think that those that have read the previous books will get more from this read than newcomers like myself.

ATF Special Agent Eric Miller and his explosives detecting K-9, Tiger, pull over a truck, the contents of which are explosive. Literally. More shocking, the driver is the kid brother of a woman he left behind. One who still haunts his days and his nights. They’d never so much as kissed, but Tess McTavish never forgot the handsome, dangerous agent who vanished in a shroud of mystery. Now the last thing she needs is an ATF agent with his own agenda. Doesn’t matter that Tess and her brother are innocent. If Eric learns the truth of their past, they’ll never be free. Eric’s drive for revenge against the man who targeted him and his colleagues in a deadly explosion still burns hot inside him. Another bomb is about to be detonated and he’s sure there’s a connection between that man…and Tess’s family. But Eric and Tiger will do everything they can to protect the woman he’s falling for from what’s coming.

Dark 'N' Deadly is a strong contemporary romance that had a nice slow burn element, and some serious tension. There were a few times that I delayed getting back to the book because of that tension. I liked the character building. I thought that Eric and Tess were well crafted characters- with complicated and painful pasts. They each dealt with their trauma in consistent and reasonable ways, even when it made the situation harder on themselves later. I liked that the secondary characters, like Jesse and Dayne were well fleshed out, and just as realistic and consistent as the main players. I did have a couple moments when I groaned about the lack of following law enforcement procedure- because those are the kind of things that get the bad guys acquitted in the long run- and I was left think about how much evidence would actually be submittable in court. But, this is fiction and while I think I know some of this stuff, I have not done all the research so I could be wrong. In general, I enjoyed the read and thought the characters were well written. However, I did not fall in love with the series. So much of this book worked really well- and the danger and tension were high and carried throughout the story, but it somehow missed the sweet spot for me and I could not even point out the moment or aspect of the story that I just did not connect with.

Dark 'N' Deadly is a must read for fans of the series, since you have met these characters in the previous books. It was a solid read, but somehow ran hot and cold for me.

Another great book in the series from Tee O’Fallon. This is yet another action-packed intense suspense story. Both -eric and Tess are great developed ad instantly likable characters. And of course, don't forget about Tiger. Highly recommended read I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

I just adored this whole book! Who wouldn’t love a hot federal officer with his K-9 companion - Eric and Tiger are just too good to be true as far as Tess can tell. When she meets up with him again as she’s trying to help her brother she knows she can’t let him learn the truth about her past without disgusting the very person she’s been a little in love, or lust, with, since they first met.

They have obstacles like crazy between them and it kept me wondering to the very end how it would turn out. This is considered a stand alone book but I definitely want to read the first 2 Federal K-9 books in the series. Great job Tee O’Fallon, you have a winner of a story! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This ‘Federal K-9 story is an engaging and extremely suspenseful read that keeps readers biting their nails and gasping in surprise. The characters are strong, bold and easily draw readers into their story and the chemistry between the hero and the heroine oozes lots of electrical energy from the pages. The relationship however hanging on to edge of a cliff with every possibility of a crash landing as secrets and drive for revenge threaten to keep Eric and Tess apart.

The fast paced plot not only has a suspenseful romance but the entire story is full of thrilling suspense, adrenaline pumping excitement and surprising twist that keeps readers glued to the pages as the connection between Tess and the man Eric holds responsible for a deadly explosion becomes apparent. And readers have no choice but to acknowledge the heroic efforts of the very special Tiger as even he tries his best to help Eric in falling in love with and protecting Tess and her brother in this dangerously exciting romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I also purchased a copy.

I just LOVE this series. The alpha K-9 men along with their dogs are federal agents. The series follows the group as they meet their significant others. The stories are just filled with suspense and intrigue while we watch the characters also fall in love.

The plot of this story just grabbed me right from the beginning. Eric Miller is a special agent with the ATF. He stops a young man driving a truck on the road. In the back of the truck, are several drums. During the arrest, Tiger, Eric's K-9, alerts Eric to presence of a chemical. Tiger has been trained to alert to chemical agents used to build bombs.

Jesse's, sister comes to bail him out. Eric comes face-to-face with Tess McTavish again. They had previously met (in the prior story). Eric knew that Tess was a special woman then and he was committed to never marry as he is so determined to track down a heinous man so he left. Eric is seeking revenge against the murder of three of his best friends who he went to law enforcement school with. Eric has a feeling as to who is behind the transporting of the fertilizer, Harley Gant. The same man who is behind his best friends murder. When he questions Tess and Jesse if they know Gant, both deny any knowledge of the man. Unbeknownst to Eric, Gant is their step-father. What follows is a fast paced intrigue. In the various events throughout the book, Eric and Tess stop denying their feelings for each other. Tess is just so afraid that Eric will turn away from her once the truth of her past is revealed.

I adored reading this book. It is written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really humanized them and drew me closer to them. The plot was very well written. I could picture the scenes as if I was watching a movie.

This is a spicy book so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of 18. This is not erotica by any means but it may offend some who prefer just reading clean romances. While this book is a part of the series and the men all appear in the books, this can be read as a stand-alone. I would highly recommend starting at the beginning though as the first two books were just as fabulously written as well.
