The author perfectly captured what animals mean to us and how they can make us experience every emotion possible. I love how the author wrote about animals that she encountered during her life vs only those that she personally owned. That premise was unique and makes this book different than other animal memoirs.

I honestly found this book to be boring. The writing style just wasn’t there for me and I was dragging myself through a lot of it. The story, while super cute, just wasn’t intriguing enough for me to feel any sort of desire to know more.
