Such a fun book for children! I recommend it often for those who love jokes. Too many jokes are crude or slightly offensive, I appreciate this option with clean jokes for kids.

This book was "ok" and it did cover quite a few different animal special and there were rhymes as well as jokes so a bit of variety - it just didn't really work for me and I didn't particularly enjoy it.

I didn't find many of the jokes funny as an adult but it is a light read and will possibly be found more funny by children towards the ages of 7-10.

It is only 2 stars from me for this one.

This is such a cute and fun book for young kids! My kids still share some of these jokes with family and friends. Thanks for the fun, silly chuckles as a family. Recommend!

This is cute for elementary and middle school readers. Perfect for kids, yet it wasn’t what I was expecting. It doesn’t mean it isn’t good. I just mean I expected jokes, but there is more than jokes. It has riddles, stories and one-liners too. There are around 500 funny things to enjoy in this book with all types of animals from bugs and dinosaurs to fish and turtles to alligators to zebras. Not everyone is going to get or find these jokes or stories fun in this book. Many remind me of Dad jokes but overall it is a fun book. There are a variety enough for a wide age group though. I wanted more from this book. I thought the best part about the book was the title as it is what drew me to it. If you think about the story of the ark it is not that this just means it includes tons of animals like the art did. Illustrations would have been nice, yet it is nicely designed with sections for the variety of animals included helping you find your favorite animal. It might not be worth it for a few fun jokes and silly stories, but a cute idea.

This was silly. This was fun. This was organized.

I enjoyed reading these to the kids. The kids laughed and asked a bunch of questions but really enjoyed the experience. My only gripe was the jokes for each animal were not clearly broken up and ran Into one another. It may have been the format I was reading it in on the kindle.

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion. This is supposed to be a home book for kids but a lot of the entries are little stories that aren't really funny. There are a few funny jokes but a good number of them are dark and would need to be explained to my 7 year-old kid.

This is the best book ever! I requested it so I could tell the little kids in my sunday school class these jokes and they had me cracking up as I read them. My family kept on looking at me as if I were going crazy! These jokes are perfect for kids, teens, and adults. My favorite was the one about the millionaire and the alligators. Read the book to find out what I mean;)

I shared this book with my kids. My 6 year old enjoyed reading it. He would read the jokes aloud to us. I bought a copy of this book since it's easier for them to read.
I thought the jokes were fun. I did feel like there were more funny stories then jokes in each section. I think there could be more jokes added.

An Arkful of Animal Jokes--for Kids! is just that...animal jokes! It has a section of tales for each animal.
It was light and interesting. I don't think it was not intended to keep my 5 year old daughter too interested for too long. I would recommend to older children though.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. I was not required to give a positive review. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

This is delightful, funny, child’s humor type of joke’s book. There is plenty of material to choose from in the story of Noah, the Ark, the family, and most of all the animals. It put a smile on my face and lots of giggles from my younger aged audience. I received a ebook ARC from #NetGalley, but my review is of my own admission.

An Arkful of Animal Jokes for Kids was compiled by Barbour Publishing, Inc. and includes almost 500 jokes and fun short stories for pre-teen kids.
My Thoughts: I thought this book was great. It is the perfect book to sit around and read to (and with) your kids. Mine are currently 6, 9, and 13, and every one of them enjoyed the book. My husband and I also had fun with the jokes.
I really like that the book is split by type of animal-making it very easy to flip to your child’s favorite animal and read those jokes first. I also liked that short little stories were interspersed with the one-line jokes. This gave the book a lot of variety.
The jokes are clean and fun, and I liked the preface by Noah himself! 🙂
If you have a kiddo that enjoys joke books, or you just want to have something fun to read together and enjoy as a family, this one fits the bill.
I was thinking it would even be fun to start a tradition and read just a few after every evening meal-could be fun.
As always, I would like to thank Barbour Publishing, Inc. for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you!

Kids will delight in this book. It is a collection of jokes, funny stories, riddles and one-liners. Reluctant readers especially will enjoy the wit and humour that is presented.

Noah, the keeper of the world's first floating zoo, does a fine welcoming introduction followed by nearly 500 jokes, including jokes about the zookeeper himself. How fun is that?

The book is broken down into short chapters each highlighting content on more than 30 types of animals: bugs and insects, dinosaurs, fish, kangaroos, skunks, turtles, zebras and more. Entertaining, clean jokes are on board that will spark laugh-out-loud spontaneity!

Trust me... both young and old will have a boat-load of fun sharing this book together. Highly recommended. Go ahead ... float your boat!

My family thoroughly enjoyed this book. I think our children will continue to repeat these jokes for weeks. I would definitely share it with another family with young kids.

Review Title: Not What I Expected (review of An Arkful of Animal Jokes---For Kids! by Barbour Staff)
Reviewer: Janice S. Garey
** 2 Stars

This book has an interesting title and from that initial feature I had hopes to enjoy the book. It was not what I expected.

The title suggests the book is mainly for children. In reading through some of the book, I found a mixture of jokes that were clean but would need a higher level of life experience than most children have to understand the jokes. Perhaps the author and publisher thought that the children would only read those jokes that appear to be for their level. I feel some children might find the book frustrating for their efforts. It could be used as a conversation starter between parents and their children, but not everyone has a good situation for that.

As a Christian, I felt the book used a well known Bible story to produce silliness and disregard of the truth in the story. The Bible already has many who disrespect it. For those who take the Bible seriously, I do not recommend this book.

By utilizing the format of an ABC book about animals in the ark, a quick sale can be made to adults who look only at the title and contents pages. The book has enough material that it could have been broken down into two books according to age appropriateness. Consider your purposes before buying. If you need a few clever jokes for a speaking engagement, this could be used as a resource.

I received this book without cost from #netgalley in exchange for giving my honest review.

Our children loved these jokes!! Ages two to ten all belly laughed along as I read these. I would suggest this as a great joke book for kids. For older ones they are going to get the funny story jokes, while the younger ones will enjoy the pun style jokes. There is something for all kids who enjoy jokes. Even the thirty & over crowd;-) My husband & I laughed right along with the kids. As a homeschooling/home educating Mom, I would suggest that this book would be good for reading before visiting a zoo!

I like that this is sorted by animal, and I like the variety of longer “story” jokes paired with shorter traditional style jokes. Very cute!

I tested this book out on my four boys ages 5, 8, 10, and 12. After a few jokes, it was time to eat. I asked them if I should bring the book to the table. They answered with a resounding chorus of “YES!”

My oldest son (12 years old) confiscated the book after supper and read the whole thing. A few pages in, he commented, “this book is hilarious.” Later that evening, I asked all four boys to rate this book.

I provided my criteria:
1 star – didn’t like it
2 stars – it was OK
3 stars – liked it
4 stars – really liked it
5 stars – it was amazing

My oldest thought for a split-second before giving a five star review of An Arkful of Animal Jokes—for Kids. His younger brothers agreed. This is a good collection of animal jokes!

This is a short but fun book of animal jokes, divided into short chapters by animal. There are short jokes and also story jokes. The interior is black and with with small illustrations for each chapter, but it's otherwise without art. Most of the jokes are pretty predictable but young kids are likely to have fun with them.

My favorite: What do you do if someone throws a goose at you? Duck.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.

This book had a lot of great jokes. My kids and I love sharing jokes and this book gave us a lot of new ones to choose from. I also loved that the sections focus on different animals.
