Brady and Amanda were quite the pair in this story. I loved how Amanda started going for what she wanted, asserting her independence as well as getting her brothers to realize she was an adult. She never backed down from what she wanted, who she would become, or who she wanted to spend time with. I almost felt sorry for Brady because he really had no choice. She was determined, but I loved this fire in her. She was young, but a breath of fresh air. Brady had his moments where I really liked him and could sympathize with him. He did have those moments though where I could have really dug into him. However, when he needed to make it work, he really pulled through in a very heart touching, tear inducing way. I loved their story and the little glimpse of the future that was given.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

Brady Everett meets his match in Amanda Kittredge. His best friend’s little sister has grown up while he wasn’t looking, now she has the opportunity to take her crush and turn it into reality. Brady is only too willing, now that he’s realized she’s WAY more than the little girl he knew growing up. Both Brady and Amanda have some growing up to do and it is fun watching them figure out their way, together. Crews keeps getting better and better with every book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

His best friend's sister? No way! Being ten years older. Definitely no. However, when Brady Everett starts to notice Amanda Kittredge he practically fears for his life. His father has recently died, and having recently returned, Brady is all but being forced to remain in town and work on the family's homestead for a year. Now that Amanda is a 22-year-old vivacious woman, Brady does his best to keep his eyes on her from the neck up when they are around one another.

Meanwhile, Amanda is making strides. She already had a job in a coffee house, but she also took a part-time job at a seedy bar. The biggest shock she tells her parents and overbearing brothers - she is getting her own apartment. Her dating experience is woefully inadequate and she is tired of not knowing about the more carnal things in life. Amanda sets her sights on Brady. Can her resist her? If not, what about his best friend and her other brothers?

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in the Cold River Ranch series. It was a nice read and can do well as a standalone, even though characters from previous books are mentioned often in this story. I loved the family ties when it came to this book. Brady's past with his father was something that was a factor. I also enjoyed Amanda's interactions with her family. So, I found this book to be a very enjoyable part of the series and I do hope Caitlyn Crews will have more of the same for her readers.

Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and to NetGalley for this ARC to review. This is my honest opinion.

I loved this story! Brady was complex and completely gone for Amanda from the first, though he would never admit that. Amanda asserted her independence and had FIRE in her gut for not only Brady, but what she wanted out of life while loving the town she's stuck in. A wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. I hope there are more stories here!

Amanda loves her brothers, but she is determined to assert her independence from their vigilant need to protect her and that starts with putting some physical distance between them and finding a job. The only problem is that even though they aren’t living in the same house it doesn’t stop how they feel and they aren’t happy with her new living arrangements or her job and now they have Brady watching over her as well.

Brady is Amanda’s brother’s best friend who has recently returned to help out on the family ranch even is he isn’t close to his brothers. He has enough on his plate without watching over Amanda especially when she wants him to share everything he knows about physical intimacy.

They are unable to deny the feelings they have for each other, but will they allow their families to destroy what they could have together?

This is a story about family, love and what you are willing to do for both. Both Amanda and Brady are at a crossroads in their life and they find out they are much stronger together than apart.

The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is one hot emotional mess. A large family made up of mostly sons take it in their own minds to baby their sister. It comes down to a boiling point where Amanda can't take their bossy treatment anymore. They treat her like a kid instead of the woman she is. Then, there's her secret crush who thought she was still in high school. Amanda takes matters into her own hands. She moves out of the family house, changes jobs, and her attire changes too. Now, her brothers are looking at her and so is her crush. Brady cannot forget the image of the little girl he once knew as the hot woman he sees now. Angst and romance build up with every page. I enjoyed reading this story. The male idiot learns his lesson of mistreating a woman like Amanda. Amanda is a strong heroine who is determined to change her life for the best.

I absolutely loved this story of true love. Amanda and Brady are so good together, but neither one wants to make a move for different reasons. Amanda is so tired of being treated like a baby. She wants independence and Brady feels like an outsider in his own family. You will want to pick this one up! Such a great read!

Amanda is the youngest of five children—with four older brothers, which is why, despite being 22, she has been and is living a very protective life at home. She moves into town, into a place over the shadiest bar in town, where she works as bartender, hoping to break out of that image. About this time, Brady, for whom Amanda has had a “thing” for years, returns to town, but continues to see Amanda as his friend’s “little sister”. Amanda takes it upon herself to change his mind about as well as his attitude towards her. They hook up, but Brady eventually becomes the guy who begins to withdraw, giving him, in my mind, jerk status. Somehow, he does not or refuses to see how he is hurting Amanda. As time goes on, however, Brady does begin to see Amanda as a grown up, desirable woman, one who won’t wait forever.

The book was a good one, though not as good as some others I have read. I found Amanda immature, like someone who has emerged from a sheltered life (as she had). I really was not taken with Brady, who came across as a “user”. However, my idea of him did change as he finally realized how selfish and uncaring he was being. As one reviewer said, I agree I like stories about rekindling old loves or crushes, but it is difficult to like a character who seems to refuse to see what is before his eyes. This is a book that readers of the series will like, as well as others who enjoy western themed romances. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

Amanda is 10 years younger than Brady. Brady is Amanda’s older brother Riley’s best friend. Brady is also friends with Amanda’s 3 other older brothers and spent a lot of time at their house growing up. Amanda’s brothers have always intimidated any potential suitors, so, at 22 years old, Amanda has never been on a real date or had any romantic relationships. She decides to remedy the situation by moving out of her parent’s house and getting an apartment over the Coyote bar where she has gotten a job as a bartender. When Amanda lays down the law to her brothers about not hanging around her at the bar, Riley asks Brady to “babysit” her. Amanda has crushed on Brady for as long as she can remember, and Brady has always thought of her as a little girl. Amanda decides to go for it by asking Brady to teach her about sex….
This third book in the Cold River Ranch series is sweet, funny, frustrating and loveable all at the same time. Caitlin Crews captures the stubborn family dynamics really well and I completely enjoyed it!

Third story in the Cold River Ranch series. Another winner! Amanda is the wallflower who no one sees, including her family. Brady is her brothers best friend and isn't sure what he wants from his life. His time is almost up at the ranch and he needs to decide what to do next. Some other reviewers had issues with the 10 year age difference, which to me isn't a big deal as long as they are all over 21. Really enjoyed the story and hope there are more in the series.

I really liked this book of two people eyeing each other up, thinking they can't be together, coming together anyway then fighting for their future. The family dynamics around both Amanda and Brady add layers to the problems that have to be addressed. I love the care Brady takes with Amanda once he decides she is it for him and enjoyed the humor in the frustration that brings her. The family drama was handled well although not everything was solved or explained. The ending was very sweet and made me sigh in contentment.

And so the series goes as Amanda and Brady find their happy ending. Amanda is the only girl among a group of four older brothers and feels her life slipping by covered by their over protectiveness. Brady is her brothers best friend and the guy she has had a crush on forever. Brady is fighting demons and his family. The one thing he doesn’t want is entanglements. The story goes through some pretty hilarious conversations as Brady gives Amanda the lesson she asks for. In the end it seems that she becomes the one who teaches him how to forgive and move on to living a fuller and richer life.

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in the Cold River series. This is Brady and Amanda's story. If you are a fan of the best friend's little sister trope, then you'll love this one. I always like when the characters have known each other since childhood. It makes the slide into love that much more believable. There is an age difference between these two, but it really didn't bother me that much. I liked their relationship and was rooting for them. I did also like seeing the changing relationship between Brady and his brothers over the past three books. Their ability to finally move past the awfulness of their childhood was really great to see. The one thing that did drive me crazy was Amanda's brothers. Their over protectiveness was a bit over the top for me. If I was Amanda, I would have moved further away than to downtown. But then, I have little patience for that sort of thing. Despite that one, I definitely recommend this addition to the series.

I really liked this book! Some were really put off by the age difference in the two characters, but having dated someone ten years older than me when I was eighteen, it didn't bother me. And yes, sometimes it takes a while for people to see you as older than they remember you if they've known you for a long time. Amanda had had a crush on Brady for a long time, so Brady definitely had some catching up to do.
I actually loved that after they determined that they were going to get together, Brady decided to slow things down a bit. She may have finally turned him on, but he was trying to take care of her along the way and not end up doing something that was more than she was ready for. He was as much of a gentleman as he could be.
I've loved the whole series.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

A wonderful romance between two individuals that have been in the shadow of their siblings all their lives. Their attraction for each other is explosive. Well-developed characters with real issues. This is the first story I have read by this author and I really loved it. I will be reading more.

I liked this book. I thought it had a good amount cute and sweet moments scattered throughout it. I liked Amanda and Brady and the whole brother's best friend angle. The story was engaging and offered a good blend of emotional turmoil, drama, humor, heat and heart. My one negative with this book was that I sometimes felt that there were inconsistencies between what was said and the actual actions taken by the characters. It basically left me wondering if the author was scared to make a full commitment to the direction she wanted to go and just tried to balance things out in the middle and that really didn't work for me.

I loved Amanda and Brady together, the chemistry between them, once they admitted they liked each other was off the charts. The story line was very well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

In these three stories, we've watched each of the sons of Amos deal with his death and the repercussions of his treatment of his sons. All of the men had scars left by Amos. This is Brady's story and how Amanda helped him heal. It wasn't just a romance but also a healing of the bonds of the brothers. I really enjoyed this book. I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Enjoyable romance. Amanda has been very sheltered by older brothers. When she decides to break away she runs into bad boy cowboy Brady. Let the fun begin. the is the last of the brothers to fall.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. This can be read as a standalone but it’s book 3 in a family of brothers.
