I feel like I’ve been waiting for Uriel’s story for .. like ever! Pair him up with an unlikely heroine that is Nadya and it ends up being an absolute win for me!

The one thing about Juliette’s books is that they’re so easy to get hooked on. The Dominion series is a phenomenal series with a super engaging storyline and top-notch characters that you’ll no doubt fall in love with.

I’ve gotta say that Nadya and Uriel had layers for days. There was sooooooo much to them that I should have expected, but it still managed to surprise me. These two have literally been through hell and back. And Uriel’s need to avenge what was brutally done to him, we only really see the surface of it until later on in the book. My goodness, he is a machine and that shouldn’t have surprised me at all. He’s an archangel, like hello!

Nadya was the perfect match for Uriel, they have a mutual understanding and their time together was a healing one. They were different, yet the same. And I was all about watching these two finally fall in love!

Such a great read and it was the best to see previous characters come in, which I’ve dubbed them the dream team.

An absolute must read!

I've been a lover of Juliette Cross' books, and the Vessel and Dominion series, for a LONG time. This book is the latest and greatest by Juliette, and continues the story of what is happening during the apocalypse that began at the end of the Vessel trilogy. Angels and Demons are fighting on Earth, and humans are stuck in the middle trying to survive.

Uriel and Nadya have both been mentally, physically, and emotionally abused by their captors, and both are trying to heal in their own ways - Nadya by closing herself off from the world, and Uriel by seeking all-out revenge against the demon Prince who captured him. What they don't realize is that what they actually need to heal is each other. Through the course of the story, Nadya and Uriel both realize that their comfort, and their salvation, is right in front of them, if they only have the courage to reach out and take it.

I truly LOVED this story! Nadya and Uriel are the perfect balance for each other - Nadya's hopeful nature and belief that things will work out, to Uriel's physical strength and determination to make sure things work out. Between the two of them, the forces of evil stand no chance!

If you like books with angels and demons, fighting the good fight, and two people falling in love as they help each other heal their wounds, you will LOVE this book! Th en go back and read everything else by Juliette Cross - you won't be sorry!

I'm in love with an archangel!! When we first met Uriel, he was tortured and chained to a dark witch who had bespelled him with black magic, dampening his powers to have her wicked way with him. His unrelenting strength and his vow of vengeance kept him going. In a life full of darkness, there was one bright light - another witch with compassion in her eyes and a burgeoning need to ease his pain. But how can one of them be a beacon of hope? Once rescued, Uriel lived to fulfill his promise, to satisfy his thirst for revenge and only one person could help him deliver... Nadya, the same witch who was there during his time of captivity. I was so excited to read about how Uriel and Nadya not only got their revenge, but how they found eternal love. Cross never fails to deliver and this story definitely gets my ringing endorsement - one of the BEST reads of 2019!

Juliette Cross has brought the Dominion series to a close with a fantastic bang. There was tons of action, I got to see my beloved Dommiel, and those fighting pits really came to life for me. Am I sad to see it all go? Of freaking course! Not only have I met and loved some amazing demons and fallen angels, but I just met an incredible archangel and I want more. However, I'm thrilled with everything I got and all that I've read and I can't wait to see what this author will gift us with next!

THIS BOOK! I loved so so so much about this book and Uriel! AWWWW SWOON!!! Cross made me wanna read the first 3 books in this series. I normally attempt to read and get a base when I receive an ARC that is part of a series but with there being three before this one I didn't have the time as I wanted to get the review up before publication... BUT MAN now I regret it. This story was passionate and dark in so many terrific ways and I felt myself wanting Uriel to reach all his goals as well as keep Nayda forever. Their chemistry was electric and I adored Nayda as a whole with her pure and wonderful self. I am truly upset that I read the ending first but man it was fantastic!

***5 ‘My Domina’ Stars***

I don’t want the series to end (mostly because I don’t want to leave my German demons ~ but that’s just me) but as far as endings go, this one rocked! It was sweet, a little bit gory, funny and all kinds of smexy and swoon worthy goodness.

I adored Nadya and Uriel. They’ve both been to hell and back and despite all that was inflicted on them, they’ve come out stronger for it in different ways, though they both still bear the scars in one way or another. Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. There were some dark moments, but I loved how they helped each other work through them while becoming more entwined with each other as they got to know each other. The chemistry between them was HAWT and their bantering was a lot of fun. There wasn’t a lot of angsty moments between them, something I appreciated since there was enough drama going on around them to keep things quite interesting and in the end, I loved how everything worked out for them.

This book definitely gave the series a great send off. All of the issues plaguing our heros were tied up well and I didn’t have to give the author the evil eye like I have in the past *BSEG* I loved catching up with Dommiel & Anya, George & Kat and Xander & Carowyn and getting to know Skaal, Circe and Deimos...and of course my German demons ~ Axel, Wolfrick and Gustav ~ who I would LOVE to see more of in maybe another spinoff??? Maybe?? But, if not, this was still a great series, so if you’re into angels and demons battling it out and finding love while doing it, then this is a must read for you!

I can't believe it's over. The final chapter of The Dominion Series is a beautiful ending to an incredible ride. A fantasy landscape with a romance that resonates with modern-day realness and I will hold out hope for more to come in the future.

Juliette Cross fills her books with quote-worthy passages and a stylized way with words that make her books unmistakably her own. She is right up there with the powerhouses of the PNR industry; Kenyon, Iona, Ward, and Harris.

I'm sad it's over, but thrilled to begin a re-read!

Juliette Cross has written a spellbinding paranormal romance that really rocks. Good solid characters and I enjoyed reading their romance.

The 3rd book in the series, definitely better to have read the previous 2 books & not jump straight into book 3.
Uriel is determined to destroy the demon responsible for his being captured and enslaved to a demon witch and comes up with a plot that would enable him to challenge Vladek (said demon) in his own fortress. The problem is finding a way into the fortress first.
But Dommiel & Anya know of the perfect person to help him & Uriel comes face to face with the witch who had helped him when he was enslaved.
If there is anything incorrect with the book blurb it’s that Nadya holds no malice against her sister & only wants to be left alone to live her life in peace helping the humans in the quiet village where she has hidden herself. The total opposite of Lisabette, Nadya is a good witch, innocent and uses her powers to help others.
When she & Uriel meet again, sparks fly and the chemistry between is palpable & totally apparent to anyone who seems them together.
Loved the book! There’s action but the best part was the relationship between Uriel and Nadya; the way their connection develops in the story was fantastic.
Definitely recommended if you’ve been following this series.

Everytime I start a series a few books in, I remind myself of why I shouldn't but I'm a sucker for a good paranormal romance so i took this book anyway. Cross does a good job creating an interesting, imaginative world and characters with plenty of depth and conflict. I particularly like the intense suspense of the situation Uriel and Nadya find themselves in. I also like both of them. There were definitely times I wished I knew all the backstories but I wasn't lost to the point of not enjoying this story. I did almost feel the fight scenes should have been more involved. It almost seemed too easy for Uriel to take down his enemies but I suppose that was the point. It was great to see all his friends and Nadya pull together in the climactic final battle.

Each book in the Dominion series is STANDALONE:
* The Deepest Well (prequel)
* Darkest Heart
* Hardest Fall
* Coldest Fire

Juliette Cross's imagination is incredible, I really enjoyed this story. Uriel and Nadya are both wounded characters who find love and can heal together. Could you read this as a stand alone? sure, but I think that this time if you did you would feel like you are missing something. I know I felt this way alot of times. I would recommend you start from the beginning. I stuffed up by skipping book 2. I will need to now go back and read that one.

After reading (and loving) Darkest Heart and Hardest Fall, I was very happy to see that Uriel got his story in Coldest Fire. As you could have read in Hardest Fall, Uriel was taken captured by a witch and tortured and enslaved. When he got away, he promised he would revenge himself at the witch and the cruel demon prince who captured him, Vladek. But in order to get close to him, he must fight in the pits of hell to get invited into Vladek's castle. And the only way to be invited to those fights is with the help of Dommiel and Anya (yep, from Darkest Heart). They know a witch, who can help Uriel. But Uriel is wary of witches and he doesn't trust Nadya. Not even when Dommiel and Anya ensure him that she is not like any other witch. Nadya is living a quiet live, only using her powers to help others. She has escaped a terrible life, which was forced upon her by her sister.
So, not eager to get back into her old life and her old world, she still agrees to help Uriel out as a favor to her friends Dommiel and Anya.
Working side by side to get to Vladek, Uriel realizes that Nadya is nothing like the witches he encountered from Vladek's entourage. And Nadya discovers there is so much more to Uriel than meets the eye. They will have to learn to trust each other, to make it out alive of Vladek's castle.
Suspense, plot twists and of course sparks flying between Nadya and Uriel. Another great story from Juliette Cross and I'm looking forward to a new book of series! Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Coldest Fire is one of my most anticipated books of 2019 and OMG I loved it so much!!! Coldest Fire is the final book in the amazing Dominion series — we finally get Uriel and Nadya’s love story and HEA!! This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading in order. I’ve been dying for Uriel and Nadya since Darkest Heart and that level of anticipation made Coldest Fire that much sweeter for me.

Uriel and Nadya first saw each other when they were both held in captivity — Uriel was held captive by an evil witch named Lisabette, while Nadya was enslaved by the demon prince Vladek. At one point during their captivity, Nadya created a diversion so Uriel would get some reprieve from his torture. But eventually, Nadya managed to escape with the help of Skaal and Axel. It wasn’t until much later that Uriel was rescued by Dommiel and Anya. Now Uriel wants revenge against Vladek and the one person who can help him is Nadya.

You guys, I was dying for Uriel and Nadya to finally meet again. The tension was insane!!! Both Uriel and Nadya have gone through so much torture and abuse. Nadya has isolated herself in a small cottage so she could start healing her scars. Meanwhile, Uriel continued his mission as archangel, but he enclosed himself and became cold as ice. I wasn’t sure what Uriel would think of Nadya, but it made sense that he didn’t trust or like her at first. After his torture at the hands of Lisabette, it made sense that he would view all witches as the same. But he decides to trust Nadya because Dommiel and Anya both trust her.

Uriel plans on fighting his way to the top so he can finally come face to face with Vladek and Nadya is the one person who can help him enter those fighting pits. As Uriel and Nadya spend time together, Uriel realizes that he was wrong in his judgement of her character. He sees just how compassionate, caring, and empathetic she is towards other people. I love how his icy demeanor slowly melts and Nadya makes her way under his skin and into his heart. Their romance is emotionally intense and steamy to say the least. Uriel and Nadya are both wounded characters who find love and healing in each other’s arms. Their HEA is most satisfying and so well deserved.

The plot is also interesting and builds up to an exciting climax filled with action. Juliette Cross’s imagination is incredible. She has such a knack for writing action-filled climaxes that are vividly epic. The epilogue wraps up the series neatly, but in my opinion, it also leaves space for future stories, should the author want to continue building this world.

This is a pacy page turning novel that I finished in one sitting. I was invested in the plot and the characters but would have liked more detail in parts. Overall, though, very enjoyable.

"I only meant that finding your own happiness in this world, whatever that may be...is worth sacrifice. Is worth risking everything."

The pace on Juliette Cross' Coldest Fire was unbelievably fierce. I barely drew breath until the very end. Paranormal suspense fans, rejoice, for this was book was fire.

Uriel was stolen away and used as a witch's pet. After getting revenge on the witch, he knows his biggest foe is the witch's master--the one who sold Uriel into slavery-- Vladek. But to get close to him, Uriel's going to have to fight demons and monsters alike in a series of pits. And he'll need the help of a witch who Uriel is all too familiar with.

But Nadya was just as much prisoner as Uriel, and as they both come to terms with their pasts, they wonder if there's a chance for a future.

As I mentioned before, the pacing was absolutely ridiculous. I didn't have time to breathe or think. I was catapulted into this story, where there is no sunshine, alliances and enemies are around every corner, and danger closely follows. I adored both of these characters. Nadya has a heart of gold, but she is also so brave and kickass.

Uriel has revenge on the mind, and since his captivity, he's a little more ruthless, a little less forgiving. Or is he? There's a core of good under his anger and fury, and watching him and Nadya get to know each other was captivating.

I've long been a fan of Ms. Cross' paranormals and for good reason. It's this blend of intrigue and passion; lust and longing; adventure and danger that keeps me coming back for more. I know I'll be taken on an enthralling, intense journey that gets my blood pumping, desperately glued to the pages.

I loved this book, and I highly recommend it for suspense lovers with a heavy dose of romance and heat.

Content warnings: violence resulting in scarring and captivity.

Coldest Fire is the third book in Juliette Cross' Dominion Series. She is one of my favorite paranormal authors and this latest edition to this epic apocalyptic story doesn't disappoint. Uriel, an archangel, and Nadya, a witch, unite to take down a powerful demon. They both have internal and external scars that no one else can understand. I became thoroughly engrossed in their relationship. I'm hoping this isn't the last in the series because there are many more interesting characters.

This is the fourth & final book in an amazing series that I’ve enjoyed all the way. Uriel’s story just had to be told after his cruel imprisonment & torture. He is after revenge on the demon Prince Vladek but in order to get it he will have to fight his way through the pit circuit until he can get to Vladek’s pit. In order to gain access he will need the help of Nadya who has her own reasons for not wanting to get anywhere near to Vladek or to invoke the painful memories of her past as his prisoner.
Uriel believes that Nadya was complicit in his previous imprisonment & she is hiding some information about his captor but she is not giving anything away.
Add to all this the attraction that they have for each other & the storyline will take you though to a thrilling climax. I loved that the characters from the previous books all feature in this finale so you get another chance to touch their stories.
I was also (coincidentally) away at the time I read this book & was staying on the banks of the River Danube albeit in Slovakia but it added to the feel of the settings described here.
I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of a Coldest Fire in exchange for an honest review which was very easy as every book in this series- including this one- is a “keeper”
A great end to a great series!

Archangel Uriel wants revenge on Vladek. He must pay for capturing him and giving him over to his protégé, Lisabette, to torture. To get close to Vladek, Uriel must enter the pits of the Underworld and fight his way up. To do that, he's going to need the witch, Nadya's, help.

Once, long ago, Nadya followed her sister no questions asked, and it got her in a world of pain and suffering, at the hands of the demon prince, Vladek. Never again. Nadya escaped that world and had only one regret, that she was unable to do more for Lisabette's slave, Uriel. Well, now's her chance, if she wants to make things right, but how far will Vladek go to get her back? Will she lose the only man she's ever loved, Uriel?

Wow, just wow! Author Juliette Cross's COLDEST FIRE had me ablaze. The chemistry between Uriel and Nadya is off the charts, but it's only a small part of their story. Uriel and Nadya have both been through some pretty traumatic events. Nadya was in a position to help him once, but she couldn't save him. She was only able to flee herself. Years later, Nadya is getting another opportunity to do more, and she cannot turn Uriel down. Together, they must put and end to two very wicked people, Vladek and Lisabette. Will they both survive the fight? Find out in COLDEST FIRE.

So, bummer for me, but I read COLDEST FIRE before realizing it's the last book in author Juliette Cross's DOMINION series. What a great way to conclude!! This was a late night read that I could not put down. But also, congrats to me for finding an insanely amazing new author, Juliette Cross, and a great new series to read. I have already purchased the first book, DARKEST HEART, and cannot wait to read it as well as the VESSEL series, which I've heard ties into these as well. Thanks Ms. Cross for creating such a compelling world and characters. You have a fan in me.
