This is a great story about an independent woman who owns a gambling establishment and a former duke who lost everything because of a complication in his parents' marriage. I like that the heroine was strong. She knew what she wanted and worked to meet her goal. Sebastian, the former duke, is
learning who he truly is after relinquishing his title. i definitely recommend this book. This is a great story of self discovery while finding true love. This is an ARC from Net Galley.

Another great by Megan frampton. I love all that this author has written and this book is no exception. I'll be honest I was a bit sad when I realized despite the title our hero was no longer a duke, I have a soft spot for the dukes. Don't we all. In the end though our hero won me over, swept me off my feet, and I no longer cared that he'd lost it all. The book is an excellent crafting of intrigue desire and beautiful prose that creates that ultimate historical romance book. The perfect way to ring in the new year this one. Can't wait to buy a physical copy for my shelf.

I received a free ARC copy of this book return for my unbiased feedback and honest opinions/suggestions. I appreciate the opportunity to do so and thank the publisher and author.

This is an unusual story. Two peers who have lost their peer status. One runs a gaming house and the other goes to work there. The twist is that the heroine, Ivy, runs the gaming house and the ex-duke, Sebastian, goes to work for her. Sebastian must reinvent himself and in doing so he finds he must compromise to get the woman he loves. I look forward to the next book which is Nash and Ana Maria’s story. I received an ARC for my honest review.
