The Moonglow Sisters by Lori Wilde is a good read if you like this type of story. It is a bit predictable, but still enjoyable. The setting was small town, which I enjoy, the sisters were a bit annoying at times but overall I liked the book, not the best book I've read this year but far better than the worst.

I gave it 4 stars as it was a good read, not great or phenomenal, or something that I fell in love with and couldn't put down, but a journey of what could be reality, the good with the bad.
The background of the three girls was heartbreaking, and they had supposedly bounced back from it. Underlying, each one seemed to have some pretty deep scarring. Having been lied to all their young lives, losing both parents, then finding out they still had a Grammy is pretty traumatic, except maybe for Gia, being so young and not missing what she didn't remember.
This story is Gia's--mostly, with her childhood friend Mike, who I think was a saint, but there are so many elements all factoring in, it's hard to feel the depth I like for at least the main characters. I guess that's the difference between women's fiction and romance. I would've liked more story on Gia and Mike personally, I mean, since they were faking what really wasn't fake at all, lol, oh these webs are tangled.
The big estrangement was always front and center, always alluded to, because for five long years these three women wouldn't talk about it, or even really to each other, so I felt a tad deflated there wasn't more to the big reveal when it was finally disclosed. Plus, it wasn't the whole reason Madison was such an A class b**ch, she was hurting. They were all hurting!
There were some very good, surprising elements to pop up and I really did enjoy reading parts of this book. The smalltown mentality is sweet and always so helpful, pitching in when needed. Sweet Gia, the glue to the sisters, had a much needed come to Jesus meltdown, that was truly a wake up for all, including herself! Again, let me say, Mike was a saint, who loved Gia deeply.
So, I liked the read, thought it could've been trimmed on several fronts, but I am anxious to read the next book in this series. I'm curious as to how it will follow this huge intro story, now vested in the sisters.
I received an ARC from the Publisher via NetGalley and am giving my honest and voluntary thoughts and opinions.

The Moonglow Sisters will leave readers glowingly fulfilled. Three sisters, torn apart by betrayal and misunderstandings, find the, selves reunited when their beloved grandmother needs them. The rift is deep and each has her own secrets to divulge. As the narrative progresses, readers get each sister's full story and the ugliness of secrecy is cleansed by truth. It's a fulfilling story. I was all in for Mike after the first sentence describing him. My favorite sister was Gia and the relationship she has with Mike. I'm infatuated with stories that include three sisters or four friends and Wilde hit the mark with this one.

I love that overall in our lives, that in all pain and all the good that touches us, that none of us are perfect.

A couple of years ago three sisters had a major falling-out; of course, as in any fight, there's a different version from each individual and now unfortunately their Grandma, who raised them, is ill. It's her wish for her granddaughter Gia, who is the sister that is the peacemaker, the one that brings everyone together, to finish the wedding quilt. It's the one thing that seems to connect them all.

Madison, the eldest, is of course the leader and the rule maker. She wants absolutely nothing to do with finishing this quilt. Shelly, the free spirit, who no one has really spoken to in 5 years is uneasy about the whole thing. Shelly is the complete rule breaker and the keeper of secrets. She is the one who really longs for everyone to forgive her and she misses her family with a fierce desperation.

Is it possible for 3 siblings to put aside their feelings, animosity, and differences and learn to forgive and unite and most importantly finish that quilt for their grandma?

I would like to thank the author/publisher/Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review for this book.

Three sisters, three different personalities and their estrangement along with the grandmother, who raised them and who is now dying. Can they be brought together as the grandmother's dying wish? The setting in a small town, with a community that cares and looks out for one another. Will the sisters re-unite, and set aside their difference as their grandmother wishes? Family, love and forgiveness is the cornerstone that sets the pace for this contemporary novel. My thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really thought I would enjoy this book based on the description, but I just could not get into it. I found all of the characters to be rather annoying and couldn’t root for them. I also felt the story dragged on.

Great little book. Grammie wants her granddaughters to end their feud. Family drama at its best. The women come together with secrets that need to be told.

The Moonglow sisters grew up with their Grandmother in a small, shore town where everyone knew each other and they all looked out for their fellow neighbor. But one incident changed their bond overnight and they scattered, nursing their hurt and anger. Now their grandmother is ill and they have been summoned home to fulfill a dying woman's wish, finish a quilt and repair their bond.

This was a sweet, gentle tale of stubbornness, getting stuck in a role and being blinkered to how those roles can stagnate a person. The three sisters are very different and each holds onto something created by the death of their parents. Typical siblings, they communicate poorly and hold on to their own views without giving space to what their sisters are feeling.

There wasn't many surprises in this one but I still enjoyed the setting, the solidarity of the community and the gentleness of the pace and storyline. It was well written and the dialogue felt authentic and natural. This would be a great beach read.

“We are all flawed, but we are also all perfect in out humanity “

Several years ago the Moonglow Sisters had a falling out. Everyone has their version, now their grandmother ( the woman who raised them ) is sick. It is her wish for Gia, the peacemaker , to bring them all together to finish a wedding quilt.
Madison, is the traditionalist and the leader, mother, rule maker , she wants nothing to do with Shelly and hasn’t spoken to her in five years.
Shelly , the rule-breaker and the keeper of secrets , has longed for forgiveness and family.

Can these sisters put aside their differences and learn to forgive and reunite?

I loved this book. The sisters were wonderful characters and the Moonglow Inn is a place I would love to visit again and again !

The Moonglow Sisters should not be missed. Grammy, who raised the three sisters when their parents died is facing dangerous surgery. The sisters have been estranged for 5 years and Grammy has a plan that involves quilting to bring them together. Each sister has a different personality, needs and secrets, that keep the reader completely engaged in finishing this wonderfully uplifting book. This is a story about family, love, forgiveness and learning to stand up for oneself. This new to me author is quite adept at descriptive prose and dialogue that rings true. I loved everything about this story and have no problem highly recommending it to everyone. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend!

The Moonglow Sisters by Lori Wilde is everything I hoped it would be and more. The cover drew me in first, next the description but it is the story within that kept me happily turning pages and discovering a new favorite author!

“𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙠 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝙄𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮’𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙄𝙣𝙣, 𝙄𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙏𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙨, 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝘽𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙙 …”

Madison, Shelly, and Gia are the Moonglow sisters, orphaned at a young age and sent to live with their Grammy Chapman at the Moonglow Inn, a Bed and Breakfast in Moonglow Cove right on the Gulf of Mexico. They are as close as sisters can be, beautiful, talented, and inseparable until one tragic betrayal tears the sisters apart, each of them finding a different life in different parts of the world. Five years later they are reunited by another tragedy and must navigate all the feelings that led to their estrangement.

What a wonderful story this is! All the ups and downs of complex relationships, especially those of sisters, is explored in a heart-warming and at times, heart-rending tale. Ms. Wilde’s Moonglow Cove is such a beautiful place and her descriptive writing makes it so easy to visualize. What really made the story hard to put down is the well-written characters! I really liked the sisters and their intricate and complicated relationship; Maddie hardened by her drive and anger, Shelly doing all she can to escape the middle child syndrome, and Gia doing her best to always smooth things over and play peace-maker. Grammy and Darynda are amazing secondary characters and I loved reading their story. Such well-developed characters always stay with me.
I’m looking forward to reading more by Lori Wilde.

A big thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins Publishers, and William Morrow Paperbacks for providing me with this galley to read and review.

I loved this title. Although I do not have sisters, I enjoyed the inter-play between the various personality types. It was enlightening to see how the stories we tell ourselves shape our lives and the lives of those around us. I enjoyed this title very much and look forward to, hopefully, more titles about the sisters.
