Bailey is called to the morgue, along with her partner, where they are shortly thereafter introduced to NCIS agent Marco. Bailey is put on the joint effort of the NCIS and FBI in trying to find clues to the homicide and whether it ties in with another homicide, or a stand alone attack. We meet Izzy, Vivian (Viv) and Layla, along with Lexi, Derek, Tobias and Jay. As is typical with this author, I take each person introduced and try to figure out if they are as trustworthy as they seem. The puzzle pieces in this story come together with a lot of interaction between them. Set primarily in the DC area and southward, this is a book that won’t be put down until you reach the satisfying conclusion.

This is the first in new series by Dylan, “Capital Intrigue.” It’s a fast-paced romantic suspense story where the suspense is a bit more dominant (yay!). Fans of NCIS, and related shows, will likely enjoy this book.

I like that this series will focus on three women who met at law school then went on to work in different governmental agencies. Their paths will cross throughout the series. This installment focuses on FBI Special Agent Bailey Ryan, who teams up with NCIS Special Agent Marco Agostini to solve murders of military men in DC.

There is an inspirational thread woven throughout, but it’s not overwhelming. It reminds the reader that God is always with us, even in the dark times. The theme of hope is a key one, and it relates to one of my favorite quotes from the book: “She no longer lived in fear of loss but in hope of what was to come.”

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy from Bethany House, but I wasn’t required to leave a positive review.

FBI agent Bailey Ryan and NCIS Agent Marco Agostini are working together on the murders of elite military personnel. All evidence points to a Navy Seal, but Bailey and Marco aren’t convinced. The further they get into the investigation the more they are convinced there is a high level cover up. How high up does the cover up go and who can they trust.

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I was on the edge of my seat from the first page, trying to follow all the twists in the story and figure out who the bad guys were. I would definitely read this author again. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Excellent start to a new romantic thriller series by Dylan. This book kept me turning pages as the different governmental agencies worked together to solve the murders of elite military men. I found myself rooting the team on and feeling their pain. I loved each of the characters and feel invested in their lives. I can't wait until the next book.

“The moment their lips touched, it was like the Fourth of July fireworks went off around them.”

End Game, Rachel Dylan’s first installment of her highly anticipated Capital Intrigue series, is a thrilling action-packed romantic suspense novel that keeps readers highly invested in the storyline until the very last page. As a huge fan of Rachel Dylan’s Atlanta Justice series, I was ecstatic to learn that her Capital Intrigue series takes place in Washington, DC and focuses on three women who became friends at Georgetown Law and found careers in different government agencies.

FBI Special Agent Bailey Ryan and NCIS Special Agent Marco Agostini team up to solve the murders of several military men in Washington, DC. When another military member is accused of the crime, suddenly their entire case take a deadly turn and Bailey and Marco must discover the truth before it is too late.

In End Game, Rachel Dylan creates another fantastic romantic suspense novel that I could not put down. I personally prefer plenty of romance intertwined with the suspense, and Rachel Dylan balances both elements of the storyline perfectly. She shares the inspirational message of hope for the future and God giving us strength even in our darkest times. I can’t wait to read book 2 in the Capital Intrigue series when Bailey’s friend CIA analyst Layla gets her own story.

End Game is highly recommended for readers of romantic suspense, especially those who enjoy books by authors such as Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn, Irene Hannon, and Dani Pettrey.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

FBI Special Agent Bailey Ryan is teamed up with NCIS Special Agent Marco Agostini to get to the bottom of some high profile murders around Washington, DC. The deeper they get into the investigation, the more dangerous it becomes and the deeper they have to dig into the secrets of the rogue government employees at the bottom of this international scheme.

This is a fast paced story that I enjoyed thoroughly. I am always intrigued by the work of the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. This book does not disappoint. I highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

END GAME by RACHEL DYLAN is a fast paced legal thriller involving several law enforcement agencies. It is a book that is hard to put down, with a well thought out plot, some great characters, some romance, and a good Christian message. I can really recommend End Game to anyone who enjoys this genre.
Bailey Ryan is a qualified lawyer who works as an FBI agent. She meets NCIS special agent Marco Agostini at the morgue where they find the body of a navy SEAL who has been murdered in the same way as another victim who was found three days before. It is felt that the two murders are connected. The two of them, with their agencies, are going to work together on the case. Things heat up with yet another murder and the involvement of JAG lawyer Lexi Todd. These three eventually form the basis of the investigative team. There is a lot more to the story, but I will leave it there, not wanting to spoil the read for you.
It is a story of courage, faith, and patriotism and the search for truth and justice.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
