Dewdrop is a sweet little character, the artwork is just adorable and I think it has a nice message for children.

Everyone is excited to join in and participate in the Sports Fair. Mia the Turtle is going to join the pebble-throwing competition, three minnows will cook food to serve, and another friend is going to write a song for the event! Dewdrop the Axolotl is learning a new cheerleading routine to cheer on her friends and is determined to help them with their tasks as well. They all go their separate ways to practice but when Dewdrop's friends start to question their skills and abilities, Dewdrop drops in with her positivity, friendship, and good advice to save the day!

Dewdrop is a super cute picture book with a positive message about encouraging and helping others, not giving up, and doing your best, no matter what that means in comparison to others. Dewdrop not only says she will help, but she also follows through and checks up on everyone, showing what it is to be a good friend.

Dewdrop features a colorful and lively underwater world with lots of adorable creatures that make this book extra loveable! Its sequential art style makes it a unique picture book (a bit like a comic!) and so much fun to read!

This book is one of the cutest, purest and most wholesome children stories I read. I love the art style by Katie O'neill, she´s one of my favourite illustrators. I would definitely recommend it for young children who are starting to read, as the storyline is easy to understand.

This is all about trying your best and cheering on your friends. No matter what the outcome might be you did your all and that’s what truly matters. I was a cheerleader in my youth and although we won a competition or two we lost more often, it was all about having fun and growing as a unit and of course making friends along the way.
This book embodies that and more.
Did I mention that it’s super adorable because it totally is.

I love this book so much! I adore everything Katie O'Neill has ever written and this was no exception. I've been so excited for her to release a new picture book and I have a feeling that the cute art, bright colors, and sweet story will be really popular with kids (plus animal main characters are always A++). This was seriously just so precious and I need a copy for my shelves as soon as it comes out just to join my beloved Katie O'Neill collection!

I'm a huge fan of Katie O'Neill's art and stories, but DEWDROP hit home for me. This new year I'm trying to be more positive and look at the brighter side, and that is precisely what our little axolotl does. I actually teared up a little, because Dewdrop is so cute and positive.

A+++ story. 10/10 will recommend to everyone — especially those who are struggling to achieve their goals.

This feels almost more like a picture book than even a juvenile graphic novel, as you can read it in probably 3-5 minutes. But while I was a little disappointed in the length and dumbed-down themes, the art was great as in O'Neill's past works, and I was smiling and enjoying the cute story throughout. Overall, I probably won't remember this or think about this much, but I enjoyed it while I read it.

Dewdrop is a precious, beautiful book, just as I would expect from Katie O'Neill. The art is adorable, bright, and endearing. This is a tiny tale of friendship, featuring a small creature who inspires its friends in the face of their doubts about being good enough. Highly recommended for all children's collections.

We received an ARC from the publisher at work and I've liked Katie O'Neill's other graphic novels (Princess Princess Ever After, The Tea Dragon Society, etc.) so I thought I'd take a look. This is aimed much younger than O'Neill's previous books -- really more a picture book than a graphic novel -- so definitely keep that in mind when selecting/gifting the book, but it still has her trademark pastel colors and it's a cute little story about encouraging your friends and doing your best rather than getting caught up in other people's opinions.

Dewdrop is an adorable axolotl that is as sweet as can be. She and her pond pals are preparing for the sports fair, but her friends are more than a little nervous about their abilities with the roles they've taken. With Dewdrop's encouragement, they realize that the most important thing to do on their special day is to be proud of themselves. This book is a gentle and wonderful piece of art that highlights the importance of believing in both your friends and yourself!

This new story was equally beautiful and heartwarming! To read during the holidays was the best decision because I was really feeling down thanks to y family and this made my day!
Of course, the style was phenomenal as usual and I cannot wait to read something more by her.

This is absolutely precious!! Katie O'Neill's art style is as stunning as always, and works perfectly for this age range. The story was simple yet meaningful - perfection!

I LOVED this so much. This little picture book was absolutely adorable and the messages it sends are so lovely! The artwork was so cute.

Everything about this, from the artwork to the friendship and message of just trusting yourself and doing the best you can, just absolutely made my day and filled my heart up with so much joy.

Dewdrop is an adorable picture book from Katie O’Neill that lets young readers know that you can only please yourself. Coupled with it’s cute art style, Dewdrop communicates its sweet message in an easy to understand and entertaining story.

Returning again with her distinct art style, O’Neill wows readers with a beautifully panelled and paced story that will have you falling in love with the cute axolotl, Dewdrop. Far simpler than her previous work, Dewdrop is a short and sweet picture book

O’Neill tackles harder to understand concepts in a friendly manner, presenting readers with characters who are stressing too much, placing too much pressure on themselves, or experiencing self doubt. Dewdrop the carefree axolotl cheers the characters on, letting them know that through self confidence, trusting yourself, and going at your own pace, you can achieve what your goals.

I mean, look at the cute panel below. How could you not fall in love with Dewdrop, or O’Neill’s art style?!

RECOMMENDATION
I will always recommend Katie O’Neill because her work is not only cute and endearing but it has a beautifully subtle way of sharing its message.

Dewdrop is Katie O'Neill's middle grade little graphic novel about an axolotl and their friends who prepare for a sport festival. It is amazing how Katie O'Neill manages to have such important themes is such a small amount of pages. Even as an adult, it was still nice to be reminded that you don't have to be the best one there is,you just have to be better than you were before and the only person you should compete with is yourself. And of course the cute and colorful art style made this book even more adorable. This would definitely be enjoyable for little kids and adults.
