This graphic novel was sooooo charming and endearing! I loved the slice of life aspect as well as how relatable it was. I felt like sharing so many of the panels with my friends! All in all a really lovely collection of beautiful relatable moments.

In the foreword, this was described as a "genuine, heartfelt comic", and that's exactly what this is. This was my first time reading this comic, and it was so much fun, I really liked most of the cartoons. I do always have some trouble with simple art styles that don't convey much emotion, though, and I would have liked for this to have a little more depth, maybe. I also didn't appreciate the fatphobia in a few of the cartoons. But some of the other cartoons did crack me up, and overall I definitely liked this comic.

A very delightful and easy graphic novel to read on a lonely day. Extra props for introverts/early relationship folks and I smiled the whole time and I highly recommend this book and author.

This was funny, adorable, and such a quick read. The art is simple, which lends to the idea of small things that make someone happy. I thoroughly enjoyed this!

Cute comic, and a really fast read. I laughed several times, and found the drawing style adorable, although I have to say that the humour is not exactly my cup of tea.

I would recommend it if you want a quick book and like or want to try comics.

Cute little four panel comics. Didn't seem funny to me and nothing I could relate to. Sorry would not recommend. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review.

This is an adorable collection of short comics that are both hilarious and relatable. The illustrations are so cute and you'll be shouting "I do that!" every few pages. I didn't really understand why the book was divided into seasons, but it didn't detract from the comics themselves.

This book can only really be enjoyed by adults in a long term relationship, so it wouldn't be appropriate for me to purchase for my libraries, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I had not read Valerie Minelli's comic strip before picking up Small Hours. I adore this strip and the characters and tone she has created.

This is a fun, fluffy, light-hearted read that doesn't take long but will be fun to go back and skip through. I think these sorts of comics garner the attention because they're so relatable and make you realize that there are other people like you. It's all about little moments of every day life.

This is such a fun quick read! All of the comics were so relatable. The girl is quirky and pretty introverted. The comics made me laugh and I would definitely reread most of them!

This is a sweet book with wonderful drawings. Some of the little stories held such truth. I found myself becoming emotional with some of the stories. Children especially would love the shortness of the stories. You can pick it up and put it down having read just a few of the little stories. In fact, I would recommend it because the stories are worth thinking about.

More whimsical than actually funny, this compilation of web-pages shows a loving couple, and that's it – a loving couple sleeping, cuddling, avoiding work, and just getting through life with a few heart emojis to share between each other. If that is enough, then go for it – I wouldn't necessarily rush to return, and certainly would not expect to be buying this, but many will find it their thing.

3.5 stars ⭐

I wasn't familiar with Valérie's comics but I really liked her style, it reminded me of Soppy's work(which I LOVE). I would definitely pick up her other works in the future.

This is one of my new favorite books. The drawings were adorable and well done; they fit the story/message perfectly. Almost all of the comics were things that I, personally, could relate to without feeling super depressed about what my life is like. I would highly recommend this book.

Cute little collection of comic strips.

Great entertainment for an hour or so. Many of the strips brought a smile to my face and I found myself nodding as I could completely relate.

**Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for providing a copy in return for an honest review.

I LOVED THIS SO MUCHHHH.

I'm a fan of comics, especially romance ones, but this book was so precious and relatable I couldn't put it down. I wish I had the physical copy so I could read it when I'm feeling down and get little bursts of warm happiness. ♥️

The art is fresh and different and all the panels are unique and refreshing. I'd recommend it for anyone, it's definitely a happy little book that you should own.

What a great gem of a collection. I have never heard of Mrs. Frollein and came across this on NetGalley and thought it sounded interesting. In particular, the cover caught my eye. The drawings are very simple and whimsical and they capture the mood and story in (usually) 4 panels. In some ways, this reminds me of Baby Blues, which was a huge favorite of mine back when we got newspapers! After reading this, I immediately hopped onto Instagram and subscribed to Mrs. Frollein.

Most of the panels are black and white and they cover the ordinary couple going about their ordinary lives. I found myself laughing out loud in places (like the $500 Ikea trip) and also just smiling at the love this couple has for each other even with the frustrations they can have with life or even with each other. The woman and her boyfriend are very relatable (yes, I have a LOT of black in my wardrobe) and help you to see humor in our own foibles.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #ValerieMinelli for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. You now have a new fan!

Well, the illustrations here were really cute, but I didn’t think this was very funny or extraordinary in any way...
