A man accidentally kills his 3-year-old daughter and finds he cannot stop feeling guilty, even though his family never blamed him. Later on, he leaves his family without a word and disappears. He's now fallen off the grid for the past 5 years.

Is he still alive? Changed his name and living another life? If still alive, where would he go?

Private Investigator Adam Fraley is hired by the man's older daughter to find him ...or his body. Their family is disintegrating and none of them can move forward.

Farley's investigation leads him to Haiti .. where he discovers that he is not the only one looking for the missing man. The biggest surprise is finding a death certificate for the man ... although it's a fake.

Someone wants Fraley to stop the investigation and go home, but he is just tenacious enough to ignore the danger.

This is rather slow-paced, but the mystery is maintained throughout. I liked the blend of personal and professional. The characters are likable and well defined. It's a short (less than 200 pages), easy read.
