I really liked the idea of this story and think the illustrations are lovely but it isn't really what I'd hoped. It had quite a few errors (random words repeated, wrong characters saying things) which meant some parts didn't make sense and it seemed quite clumsily written. Some parts were rushed and then other bits were far more wordy and complicated than necessary. Nice idea though. |
Doctor Mouse does things his own way in this funny and sweet story. Doctor Mouse is smaller than all his patients. He puts his doctor’s coat on backwards. Doctor Mouse wants all six of the chairs in his waiting room to be occupied before he begins to see patients. He eats a lot of cheese. Clearly he does things his own way! In come the patients including a chicken, a rabbit, a bear, a fox and more. These patients charmingly help one another while the doctor observes. All leave the office happy. That’s it, a simple story about cooperation and caring for others with adorable illustrations. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for-this title in exchange for an honest revie |

This is a really sweet story about animals coming together and solving problems. Doctor Mouse is open for business early in the morning when his waiting room is all aflutter with groans and complaints of the local animals. Even with his coat on backwards, he helps by having them share their problems with each other and coming to solutions. Now if only he knew his coat was on backwards. I'm sure someone will tell him tomorrow. Well illustrated and fun to read. Translated from the German with an old world tradition feel. I received this book from Netgalley for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |
