Nick Prince has had one dream most of his life despite what his family always had in mind: to be a pilot and not a rancher. Since his father passed, Nick had been saddled in a cowboy way with running the huge family spread that is in deep financial trouble due to his father’s gambling ways. Nick’s grumpy demeanor and sad sack personality make it clear to everyone he is not living the dream. Family weighs heavily on Nick’s mind as well as the burden he never wanted to shoulder with digging the ranch out of a financial nightmare.

Charlotte Bailey is the sunshine to Nick’s gloom. As his office manager, Charlotte keeps Nick afloat because he is pretty clueless when it comes to the business side of the ranch. Nick has the cowboy thing down working the 75,000 acre cattle spread which is a relentless job in itself. Besides growing up together in the small Texas town, they have another kind of history that keeps both Charlotte and Nick riled up in push me, pull you kind of way. Their attraction escalates to flame-up proportions, but as everyone knows, office romances have the potential explode.

Charlotte’s bright and happy personality with her witty remarks and saucy attitude are quite a contrast to Nick’s dour demeanor. Words are not his friends and communicating what he wants only frustrates Nick and those around him. His family does not seem to really understand or always support what Nick wants out of life. Charlotte has her own dreams that not have been realized and even though her feelings for Nick are deep as his are for her, he does not seem to see a way forward for them. While I really enjoyed Charlotte, Nick’s stubborn tunnel vision is a bit hard to take especially when his actions cause a lot of hurt and misery all around. My empathy for him was low; Nick is one of those characters that need smacking with his own book. That being said, I still enjoy this series quite a bit as the ensemble of characters are quite entertaining and authentic to Texas. This book is the third in the Princes of Texas series, but can be read as a standalone.

In book three of this charming trilogy we finally get to meet Nick. We have seen Luca realize his worth and Hallie grow into her own, but Nick remained a grumpy mystery ... until now. The eldest of the Prince siblings, it seemed as if the weight of the Prince family empire fell on Nick’s shoulders. A weight he never wanted. All Nick wanted was to be weightless and fly, but his father’s death had tethered him to the family ground. No one knew better about the weight of those ties than his office mate and friend Charlotte. Once Charlotte had helped him escape that weight, but it was mere hours later that Nick felt them again. Nick quickly severed anything other than a friendship and business relationship with Charlotte. Meanwhile Charlotte longed for a family of her own and set out to achieve that goal, but deep down she still wanted Nick. Not fully settling for the terms Nick set forth, Charlotte pushed Nick at every opportunity until eventually she broke through his walls again. Fool her once...Charlotte came back for more. Fool her twice...Charlotte let Nick fly. Fool her a third time??? Well you need to read this enjoyable story to find out if Charlotte gets her grumpy man.

I voluntarily read this ARC for an honest review.
All thoughts and opinions are mind

Loved this and love Julia London's books

The characters are great - I loved the banter - it was genuinely funny

This has so many facets - its warm, tender and steamy all at once

Highly recommend both book and author

Nick and Charlotte have history. They work together, they are trying hard to stay away from each other since that one night. This is the setting for a story that is warm and sweet, hot and spicy and above all absolutely hilarious.
I loved the chemistry between them.

The Billionaire in Boots is the third book in the Princes of Texas Series and follows the story of Charlotte and Nick. Cattle Ranching may be in Nick's blood, but it's not where his passion lies. However, because Nick is a "Prince" that are certain expectations he must follow. And when Nick's father passes, Nick has no choice but to pick up the pieces and clean up the mess his father left behind....Charlotte can't believe Nick is back. As office manager, it's her job to help the broody man out. The one thing Charlotte didn't plan on was the intense chemistry between them....

Overall, this book was a quick and easy read for me. The story-line was fun and entertaining. I liked the tension and chemistry between Charlotte and Nick. I loved Charlotte's spunk and how she wasn't afraid to give Nick a piece of her mind. I liked seeing Nick try to figure out who and what he really wants in life. I thought Nick & Charlotte had some excellent push and pull and looked forward to seeing how their story would come together in the end.

The Billionaire in Boots is a sweet romance that is sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

The first few adjectives that came to mind as I read this story were 'funny', 'cute' and 'nicely unpredictable'.
Nick has a dream to fly. He’s always wanted to escape (not stay) in his hometown. But his father’s passing has burdened him with running the family ranch. Charlotte is Nick’s office manager and is an integral part of the Prince family ranch operations. She has also been on a mission to have a family, babies, a dog, a house and a yard – the whole package. She wants this with Nick, but Nick thinks he’s not a good fit for her. There ARE undeniable sparks between them as well as the memories of one passionate night a long time ago…so now Charlotte has her work cut out for her - she has to convince Nick that she really is what he needs!!

The unpaved road to their final discovery is entertaining. I enjoyed the book!

I was really looking forward to Charlotte and Rafe’s book. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t love it.
Charlotte, despite dating others, was always 100% into Rafe. At times I felt like she may have been a little too pushy. She pushed herself on him, despite his resistance. I would have liked to see her play it a little cooler than that.
Rafe, he had a dream, a dream that everyone in his life was discounting for their own needs. I think he should have stuck to his guns from the beginning, because he toyed with Charlotte, he knew he wasn’t all in. I’m not sure she made him crawl enough at the end.
So, up next it looks like we get Tanner. I’ll admit to not liking him on principal in book one. But now, I feel kind of sorry for him. His book should be interesting. I’m not sure who his match is? Charlotte’s sister? Keesha?

This is the third in a series and I have read the others, however, this book provides enough backstory to allow for it to be a standalone. The characters are well developed with real world issues but not terribly angsty. I recommend this book to readers of Jill Shalvis or Susan Mallery.

What can I say just finished reading ‘Billionaire inBoots’ fabulous a real love story. Not only were Nick and Charlotte believable but a pleasure to go on their journey with them. I’ve read the series and I think I like this one best. Can’t wait to read Tanners story.

Cute and sweet novel. I enjoyed the story overall and thought the characters were very well developed. Definitely want to read more by Julia London!

Nick Prince has inherited the family cattle ranch upon the sudden death of his father Charlie and he's not happy. All Nick wants to do is fly planes, preferably big planes for a commercial airline. Nick wants to see the world and get away from the ranch.

Charlotte Bailey is Nick's Office manager. Charlotte has secretly been in love with Nick since the incident that occurred after the company Christmas party a few years back.

Nick and Charlotte dance around their feelings for each other but never quite get around to admitting their true feelings for each other until it's almost too late.

After a few missteps and some really tense moments Nick and Charlotte finally get it together.

I read this book as an ARC from Netgalley. I have talked about this book in my December 2019 wrap up video on my youtube channel, which I will link down below.

This book takes place out west and is a cowboy romance. It is a haters/frienemies to lovers story which I normally love. I really enjoyed the romance in this story, but there was a sentence that involved a MAGA hat that provided no context for the story. It honestly threw me out of the story and it made me cautious for the rest of it, thinking that I might read a racial slur or something like that. It did not need to be in the story because it did not provide anything to the plotline, instead that one sentence alienates a large demographic of people. I realize I'm reading a cowboy romance and there are no diverse characters in it, but it still made me uncomfortable for the rest of the story even though I loved the actual romance of the book.

I loved this book! Beginning with the exchange of emails (which is a hoot) Nick and Charlotte's story is probably my favorite book in this series. You wouldn't think that bubbly Charlotte and grumpy Nick would be a good fit, but their chemistry and funny interactions make this a fun & sexy read and show opposites do attract.

The Billionaire in Boots by Julia London was a small town romance with interesting secondary characters. This book is part of the Prince series however I felt the book stood alone as I had not read the other books in the series.
I really enjoyed Nick’s character. He was a different than most of the ‘cowboy’ type characters. He had inherited the ranch from his dad and he resented him for it. He had always wanted to be a pilot.
Charlotte wanted a family. Then she realizes she also wants Nick. I was thrilled how the author added Charlotte's realistic baby sitting experiences.
I truly enjoyed their emails back and forth to each other in the office. That may have been my favorite part.
I really wasn’t sure how the book would end. You want Nick to get his dream. And you are not sure how they are going to work it out.

Book number three in the Princes of Texas series does not disappoint. This is the story of Nick, the oldest Prince brother and Charlotte. According to family legend Nick was born with a broken heart. He didn't believe that for one minute but does admit to being a grump at times. As the oldest Nick was put in charge of the ranch after his father's death. The only problem is that he hates ranching. He wants nothing more than to fly and travel the world. Charlotte is the office manager for the Saddlebush Land and Cattle Company, the family business. She's been with the company for 11 years. She wants nothing more than to settle down and start a family of her own. The company is in trouble and Nick is trying to keep it afloat. Nick and Charlotte had an encounter at the office Christmas party and he's been trying to avoid any mention of it ever since. He knows he's not the guy to settle down when he wants to see the world. Will they get their happily ever after or are their paths too different?

The Billionaire in Boots

The Princes of Texas Book 3

A stand alone contemporary western. I loved this book Julia London’s writing runs smooth and lingers long after the story is done. Her humor feels quick and fresh with believable characters. Nick and his “animal friends” put cattle ranching in a whole new light and a little hard for a steak lover lol! While you can read this as a stand along and throughly enjoy it, you might want to grab the first two so it will feel like coming home for a visit.

The third book in the series. The book keep me engaged from being to end. The book is about 2 people who work together and are very attracted to each other. The question is .... how will they make a life together when the both want a different life?. The book is witty and will keep the reader want to know how this will work out.

Julia London writes the very best heroes! I didn’t think that she could top Rafe, but I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Nick … Being a vegetarian because I love animals so much, I relate so much with him. I want a Nick part two book … real bad!! So far, out of the three Prince books, this is by far my favorite! I love this series a lot, and I’m really excited to see where Tanner’s book goes. And hey, there’s still Charlotte’s sister … and Rafe’s brother …….? The animals are all SO adorable! Julia … you outdid yourself with this one!

What a great read! I always loved Julia London historical romance books. This was the 1st contemporary romance book I read that she wrote. Julia has the gift! Love the love, hate tension between Charlotte and Nick. A great read, fast pace.....couldn’t wait to find out the end. Didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the other books in the series, but will be my next read.

What I most appreciated about this book was the unconventionality of Nick's character. While he was hapless in some ways, I appreciated the idea of a rancher who doesn't want to be a rancher and who prefers rescuing animals over slaughtering them. Cute twist.
