Timely and much needed. I'm finding that, as my son grows, new and existing challenges to loving and parenting him well. This book helped with something that I can always do that is consistent, positive and that I can do have some control over. Beiing able to pray workout ceasing.

This is a nice book. It has helpful prayer starters geared toward boys on such things as fears, goals, thankfulness, courage and much more dealing with everyday life. Each page starts with a scripture from the Bible then a paragraph or so that goes along with it — the prayer starter. If the reader is needing some help thinking of prayer ideas or starting to learn how to pray this is a helpful book. It provides easy and quick prayers or information to help with this. It is a nice devotional or thought-provoking element too if you think about it. It can be used daily such as every morning and every evening or once a day. The reader can use it however they want. It can even be used as a family, but it is a helpful tool when starting off the act of prayer. It supports the thoughts as well, especially for a young man that may soon be presenting a prayer during a church service, it might be a nervous new activity. The ideas in this book could be a nice way to help them feel more comfortable with practice.

This book is great for boys! The prayers are short enough to not overwhelm my boys who struggle to read long passages. They are also varied, which I love. Prayers tend to become repetitive and routine; this book helps boys break out of that and find power and connection through prayer.

I am reviewing this book as a mother of boys, not as a public school teacher. I love that each page gives a short section of scripture for the child to read and then spells out a scripted prayer. This is perfect for young children who are still learning about the Bible and how to pray. It’s not too much to make it daunting, but it’s also not too shallow. I would love to do these with my son to help build him up!

With this devotional geared toward young boys, I was very appreciative of the sensitive handling of emerging emotions that may be unsettling to a young man as they enter the pre-teen years. Guidance and wisdom in a language that was easy to comprehend. Wonderful book to incorporate into daily life.

I really enjoyed this. I read this with my two sons and they liked it and it gave us a lot to talk about. I would recommend this to parents of boys.

Power Prayers for Boys

Although this was full of great prayers, my boys are 4 and 8 year old and I could not imagine them utilizing this book as it is intended. Perhaps 10+. The prayers were topical with words of wisdom throughout from the author as well as verses that correlate with the theme. I didn't find anything special about this book in comparison with other similar books. I do think this would be a nice gift for a preteen.

I like the content of the book, the subject that are chosen for prayer. I think there are too many prayers on one subject and children can overlook them easily or they can feel overwhelmed.
Overall it’s a great resource.
