I’m thankful for netgalley for letting me read this early. But I was not the intended audience for this book. I didn’t read the blurb before reading this and that’s my own fault. I’m not a religious person. So this wasn’t my cup of tea.

This was a pretty good read. I felt as if I was sitting Tarah-Lynn at a coffee shop discussing life and God. This was down to earth, but still hit some key points. She kept God at the center and made it relatable. She appealed to both teens and 20 year olds in how she spoke on different topics. She touched on standing firm in your fiath, romance, abiding in God and so much more. I paired my reading with the audiobook which made for an excellent reading experience. I would definitely recommend.

Before Reading this book, I had never heard of this author, but I'm very glad I have now and got a chance to read this book. I wish I had half as much sense when I was her age. All the content was relevant, and it's a very good read for women of all ages as we relate to life and each other. As well as telling us to live in our true identities as daughters of the Almighty King.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book is about the author's life experiences about walking in confidence in Christ. This book is full of biblical references, diction, and metaphors. It had me up half of the night reading. I did not want to put this book down. The author told us who we need to be in Christ. This book is a manual for women of God. I gained a lot of new knowledge even though this book was written for teen girls. I like how at the end of each chapter we got Kingdom Keys. These keys were very informative. I like the reflection questions to think more in-depth about the topics in the book. This was not a self-help book but it did provide a wealth of knowledge about your”SELF” I have never heard of this author but I would definitely be reading more. I recommend this to all my Queens. I give this book 5 stars.

Thank you Netgally and the author for the gifted copy. All thoughts are completely my own.

I was not the intended audience for this book. If you are a religious female (other genders may get something out of it as well, but it is geared towards females) then this would probably interest you.

It just wasn't for me.

If you’re a young religious woman, this novel is a must read!
There are constant reflections of bible passages and a lot of pop-cultural comparisons that are used to get the message across, and that’s a good thing!

Miss Black New Jersey Tarah-Lynn Saint Elien uses her experience as a beauty queen to make the parallel for young women on finding and embracing their identity in Christ.Using a conversational tone and modern examples which young women can relate to, really helped to illustrate her points and drive home the message.

Each chapter ends with reflection questions which I found rather helpful in deep diving and journaling on embracing who I am in Christ. I walked away with a renewed desire to not lose my identity in Christ by trying to measure up to the worlds standards. Ultimately I am a princess, a child of God and there is nothing anyone can do or say to change that. I think this book is a good starting point for teens or women in their early twenties to begin exploring the subject of who they are in Christ.

A chance to join a few book launch teams appeared in my inbox a few weeks ago. A few books were listed and this one in particular caught my eye. It reminded me of the image about standing tall, being sweet on the inside, and wearing your crown, like a pineapple. It has been my honor to read this amazing book!!

Written by Teen Vogue author and creator of Adorned in Armor & Dressed for Battle podcast, Claim Your Crown has been beautifully written. At first it seems to be catered to young adult women, but even older adults, like myself, gain new knowledge from this book! She shares about her life experiences and brings it all together with useful nuggets for claiming our own crowns.

It was especially special that Claim Your Crown relates ideas with scripture as well as with notes from bible scholars out there. This is a very well researched piece that also includes some information about real royalty who wear crowns, like Queen Elizabeth II and The Royals, produced by E!

The method all this great information is brought together is summarized at the end of each chapter with Kingdom Keys, the main topics of the chapter. There’s also a Reflection of questions for readers to spend time thinking about their own life and how the chapter they just read relates to their life. These makes reading Claim Your Crown so much more valuable! It’s not just about reading words, but also giving the reader an opportunity to relate it to life!

This book was provided complimentary in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend Claim Your Crown to be read by any woman, young and old. I give this book 5 out of 5 tiaras!

As a Christian teenager, this book was written was for girls like me. Tarah-Lynn does an excellent job of being an inspiration for young girls and women. Each section of the book has Bible verses and questions that make you think about your own faith. She writes in a way that is easy to understand and lyrical.
This book is encouraging and uplifting.
Overall Rating: 4.5 stars.
