This is the third book in the Fairview Station series and I really enjoyed it. I have not read the previous two books, but don't think you need to read it for this one. Finley Masters is a patrol Policeman at Fairview Station. She has being dealing with her past issues by sleeping around. She has pretty much gotten a reputation of being a womanizer. Dylan Carlyle is an ER physician who rarely dates and focuses on her family and friends. She doesn't have time to date, but if she did, it would not be a cop. She comes from a family of police officers and decided to become a doctor instead because of the tragedy that struck her family in earlier years. She first meets Finley in a compromising position and things go haywire after that.

I have only read one other Powell romance and that was Incognito which I enjoyed. This one was no different. I liked both MC's. Sure Finley is pretty cocky and egotistically, but it is not overly done. Dylan was enjoyable to read because she was kind and honest. The chemistry these two share is strong. Even though Dylan is determined not to date Finley because she is a cop, she still is drawn to her and gets to know her on a personal level. These two characters just click no matter how hard they fight it. This one isn't filled with sex scenes, but the couple that are in the romance are hot! I am a sucker for a good sex scene. I did find myself wanting just a tad bit more in that department. Anyway, I did enjoy this one and will have to double back and read the other two in this series.

I give this one 4.25 stars.

This is the third book in the series and is about the youngest daughter of the Carlyle family, Dylan. If you have read the previous book in the series you know that Dylan just finished her ER residency and in this one is a staff ER doctor. You don't need to read the first two necessarily to understand or even enjoy this book but it does help with backgrounds and knowing more about what caused all the chaos at the beginning of the book. This book is very much a romance with law enforcement and medical in the background. I am totally okay with that as Powell didn't try to straddle the fence between the two and lose both of them.

Growing in a family of cops and losing loved ones, Dylan has sworn off dating any law enforcement and it seems dating at all. Finely Masters has had a harsh childhood and swears love is not for her so adopts the typical play hard and fast attitude. Of course you know where this is going. I really did love the opening scene and it hooked me right away to both characters. I will say everything happens really fast and I would have liked the two main characters to dance more or more of a "fall out" (if you can even call it that) between Dylan and her sister. The later just seemed to be tidbits of protectiveness but I felt it was more interference and would have liked to see a blow up between the three, but that's just me.

Overall, it was nice addition to the series and one I really did enjoy reading. If you liked the others I am sure you will enjoy this one. It is well written and all the characters are likable.
