😎 My Review 😎
Having read all of this authors books I was so happy to hear she had another new book out.
The last two books have been good ,just not been as good as her first books.

While I did enjoy the story I found it to be very confusing. Two of the main characters share a name. It was really hard to tell who was who at times. Told in two parts now and then with parts of the story moving so slow I found myself losing interest a lot. I was also able to figure the big "twist" out very early on which was a total downer for me. There was also a lot that just seemed way to unrealistic . With all of that being said the plot was so intriguing it kept me turning the pages. Looking forward to reading her next book .

Thank you to NetGalley , the publisher and author for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Sarah has a guardian angel. One she is not aware of, but has been around since she was a wee child.
Sarah has worked hard for her political career. She has taken time out to have her baby. When she returns to work her position has been usurped. Instead of campaign manager, she is now assistant campaign manager. Someone named Janette has taken her place. Worse yet she is demoted yet again to volunteer manager and her best friend takes the position of assistant campaign manager.
Things are definitely on the downside. She knew taking time to have a child would be tough, but she wouldn't change a thing for the world. She lives her baby daughter.
Then she discovers that her mother had secrets. Secrets that have been hidden for years. The death of her mother took those answers with her when she died.
Of course Sarah has secrets of her own
Secrets that could affect not only her job, but her relationship with her boyfriend. Secrets that could cause her to lose everything she's worked so hard for.
Great psychological thriller. Great characters and the ending is a bombshell!!

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I love this series. This may have been the best one yet. This book really plays with your emotions. You get angry when Sarah is angry, you get upset when Sarah is upset. The suspense was great! Lots of relationships that come into play that you never would have thought would come out.

This was the second Jo Crow book that I have read and both from The Secrets of Suburbia series and I LOVED both!

This book for some reason had less of a suburb feeling to it, less soccer mom and more struggling working mom.
The book is a little confusing as it switches between Then and Now, at both times the main character is called Sarah, but the Sarah then does not seem to match with the Sarah Now. I didn't like the Sarah then all that much. She may have had it had, but she was a cold b*tch. The Sarah now is very likeable. A new mom, just returning to work, only her first day back it seems she has been replaced. On the homefront things are also rather tense as her boyfriend and father of her daughter keeps proposing, and Sarah keeps putting him off. Anyways... as the story carries on it seems someone is out to ruin Sarah (Now) both her political career and at home, but why?

Great read and would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys a good pyschological thriller with some twists here and there.

I enjoyed A Mother’s Sins the story kept me interested throughout. I found the storyline and characters well written, As I started the book I was too sure about the plot but after chapter 2 the story had me captivated. Psychological thriller that plays with your mind even when you figure out where the story is heading

Well-written, excellent book. 'A Mother's Sins' was an original, solid tale that didn't get mired down in the muck of political campaigning nor investigative details. It moved at a quick pace and the characterizations were marvelous.

Overall, I really liked this book, however, I would have loved this book if the author would have been a little stingier with the clues. Fairly early on in the book, it was easy to discern how things were going to shake out. IMO, with some creative subterfuge, the potential was there to add some significant shock value to the plot twist. But, in all honesty, it is still a very minor issue.

This was the second title that I have read from this author, and I have to say, I was certainly glad I gave her work another try. I noticed a significant change in the writing style. The prose was clean, tight, and succinct—perfect for this genre. Great book. Give it a go.

Thank you to NetGalley, Relay Publishing, and Jo Crow for an Arc of 'A Mother's Sins' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Very good psychological thriller about the hard choices we make and the lies we tell that impact far and wide in ways we could never predict. This was an easy read with surprises and a huge twist that will keep you reading all the way to the end!

This is part of a series and i hadn't read any of the other titles, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything by only reading this book. The suspense was plentiful and the writing was excellent. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the ending, as I do not believe many would forgive as easily.
