I was able to read this book thanks to NetGalley.
Giada is a perfectionist who is working an internship in Milan when she meets Ariberto. He is not in her plans so she resists her attraction to him. But as time develops she realizes he is much different than she originally thought and it becomes more difficult to ignore her feelings. This is a fun, feel good romance that I very much enjoyed. I will be be looking for further books from this author and will be recommending this one to my book clubs and friends and family. Thanks again to NetGalley.

I'm not sure how I felt about this book. It being set in Italy caught my attention, and I loved reading about Milan and all the other places they visited, but that's about it. I really didn't care for Giada as a character. Her privilege afforded her the ability to "rebel" against the life she had been afforded to her, and that really sat wrong with me. She was boring, spoiled, and lacked a lot of qualities that would have warmed her up to me. I did appreciate Ariberto, though, and that's because he didn't take himself seriously and recognized his privilege. The romance was good, I liked the build up of them becoming friends first. I liked that she called him Bertha the whole book, and he never blinked. Cute read all in all.

Unfortunately this book didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t what I was expecting and the story fell short for me.

I was not the biggest fan of this book, which is unfortunate because the description sounded really good.

Giada Borghi is a girl who knows exactly what she wants. She’s accomplished what she set out to do - graduate with honors and landed an internship at a prestigious consulting company in Milan. But she’s definitely not into Ariberto Castelli - nope, no way.

Giada believes girls like her and guys like Ariberto don’t belong together. But the more they work together, the more she realizes there’s more to him than what meets the eye.

I’ll admit that this book was slow going for me. I enjoyed the book overall. I really liked how Sri worked to soften up Giada. He came off a very endearing. This book is perfect for those that enjoy rom-coms and it also does a perfect job using Milan as a backdrop.

Premoli attempted to write a unique story with interesting characters but failed. Within the first chapter we were introduced to characters that were not only cliche but terribly predictable and boring. We’ve got the rich pretty boy and the tough sassy girl who doesn’t get fooled by boys. Both are equally annoying. And yes, they are attracted to each other, kiss, and become enemies in the workplace.

It didn’t really get much better. This book was okay if you want a really cheesy read that’s romantic. Don’t expect originality though.

This was a wonderfully fresh and fun book. Premoli creates interesting characters who have an extremely natural chemistry and a storyline that kept me interested. While a little predictable overall I found myself cheering as Giada and Ari learn more about each other and chose each other in the end.

Giada felt she deserved a statue. The last place she wants to be is at this nightclub but she’s there anyway for a bit of impulsive recklessness. When it comes to places like this she’s pretty much the Grinch. Not to mention she’s not exactly gifted at putting on a fake smile. Giada was there for friendship. For the record Giada’s not crazy about posting photos on social media on social media especially photos of people cocktails in hand, in a nightclub. They don’t seem to realize that those pictures will exist forever on the Internet and someone is bound to pull them out at the least opportune moment in their lives. Giada snapped a picture of her, Vinny, and Alexandra and posts it and figures the trap is baited and waited to see if the computer hacker bites… Giada is determined to push Lavinia and Sebastiano/Seb back together if it kills her. Giada can’t handle being around someone as tense and frustrated as lavinia has been lately. Giada’s also pretty sure Seb’s relatives and friends feel the same way about him. Giovani and Lavinia have have no chemistry but pretend to run after each other. Giovanni has three friends with him. Ariberto was looking at Giada. Not many things tickle Giada’s sense of humor but finding out Ariberto’s name did. Giada laughs and Ariberti asked if something was wrong. Then he asks her who she was and she answers no one of importance. Vinny said her name was Giada. Vinny has an easy going nature. The classier, sunshine-heart-I-wuv-you type. The total opposite of Giada. Ariberto stares at Giada like she is a mystery that must be solved at all costs. He doesn’t look angry anymore , more fascinated. A weird sensation of alarm starts bubbling in the bottom of Giada’s stomach. What did he want Giada wants to know. Giada ordered a Bloody Mary and Ariberto said thirsty for blood? She asked if he was offering his blood and Ariberto said what if he was. Giada felt this had gone on long enough she would not allow Ariberto to have the last word. Giada said she doesn’t pretend anything she does live dangerously. Ariberto said prove it. Giada was a very blunt girl no getting around it. She always needs to be in control of any situation. Ariberto drags her to the dance floor. Than she grinds on him. There was a powerful energy they could both feel flowing between them. Having that sort of chemistry with the wrong person is something Giada has never had to deal with before. As giada steps back Ariberto grabs her hand to stop her. She frowns in surprise, he catches her hand and her to him. Than he kisses her Giada was so surprised at first she couldn’t react. But the pressure of his lips is real. Giada is determined not to think about Ariberto’s kiss is making her head spin. Three months later Giada decided to intern at a consulting company for six months before going on to be an accountant. She is taken on by M & K, Monday morning she was shown her desk by Iris Lombardi who had interviewed her. She said when the other intern was there she would have someone from IT get their profiles, emails, and the rest sorted out. Then she saw him and as he came closer it was Ariberto. Ariberto squinted in disbelief an expression of terror and incredibility appearing on hos face. Giada admits to herself Ariberti is hot, as they shook hands electricity flows between them . Giada hopes with all her heart that this ridiculous thing doesn’t end up being a problem.
I enjoyed this book. I chuckled at times while reading it. This thing between two people who are totally different- one a strong rebellious person and the other a sweet rich man. I liked that Ariberto and Giada had seen each other around the university they weren’t complete strangers before the night at the club. I loved watching the growth of both Ariberto and Giada. I really enjoyed these two people couldn’t fight what was between them. I also really liked how Ariberto worked to make Giada comfortable around him. I loved the fact that Giada was the one who got him through his terror on the plane to Sweden. I liked the plot. But Ariberto was just a little too sweet for me. I advise you to read Love is never a simple thing where Giada and Ariberto are first seen. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

Giada and Ari...I have to admit to having a true fondness of Ari and his openness and willing to think positively about life. He was a commendable character that he was determined to get what he wanted and deserved. I was glad that Giada looked past the physicality of their relationship and recognized the emotional depth and love. In doing so, she realized true happiness. I really enjoyed the ending the most.

This story was only ok, the main character was trying so hard to dislike Ari but over time she softens towards him. I found myself checking where I was in the book and wondering if I am that invested in the outcome. Made it through to the end. Hence the it was only ok review.

Thank you to NetGally and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in advance in exchange for a honest review.

This book had so much promise but the female character is one those that tries so hard to come off hard and doesn't want the guy but he was so sweet and cute and she didn't believe it? she fought so hard to not like him that it did not make sense to me and her inner dialogue was just off-putting. I wish i could root for them but i found myself thinking "This dude deserves better!"

I’m afraid this book wasn’t for me. I was looking for a lighthearted romantic novel when I sat down to read this, but it fell very short.
I really felt as if I had to trudge through the chapters, they were long, and not a lot happened. I even felt bored in places. When there was a dialogue between the characters, it felt as if they were going around in circles on a topic. It was not really getting anywhere. The conversation was also interspersed with inner discourse inside the character’s head on the same subject, making it even more drawn out.
Half the time, I didn’t know what was going on or what scene we were in. For example, near the beginning (chapter 2, I think) Giada’s friend offers to get some chocolate, and then in the next sentence, she is sat in a tax office being interviewed. There wasn’t any segue it just jumped from one scene to the next, and we were expected to keep up and know what was going on.
Giada herself wasn’t a likeable character she was just too spiky. I know this was supposed to be the point, and that was her main personality trait, but it made it hard to warm to her. I don’t know how any of her friends or Ariberto could be interested in her never mind us the reader caring about what happened to her.
So, overall, a very slow and sluggish book. It has taken me ages to get through it, and I’m not sure it was worth persevering with, to be honest, sorry.
I accept the books from NetGalley in return for an honest review, and I do hate it when I don’t enjoy them and can’t write anything positive. Sometimes that’s the way, though. Actually, on a positive note, it was a romantic novel.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this romance that features a gothic, quirky heroine and a pretty, sweet rich guy. Giada is tough and gives Ari a run for his money. They end up working together and it's sweet how Ari works to soften her up and make her feel comfortable being around him. I'm not crazy about a goth heroine but she grew on me. Enjoyable.

Rating-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐swoon-worthy stars.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that...... I am "mad about Anna Premoli's books". No exception. None. Nada. I haven't read a single Anna Premoli book which I don't adore. Yes not like or love but adore. And thats why I am so glad to have this book. Its the newest edition to my collection and I absolutely loved every second of it. I never wanted it to end. I was mad about Ari and Giada. You are gonna love them. These two completely different people were magic together. I swooned throughout the book. This book was everything I hoped it to be. And I got to meet Lavinia and Seb again after a long time! I absolutely loved " Struck with You" and almost didn't recognise them at first though. I need to re-read that book again.

My review:
When Giada Borghi and Ariberto Castelli de Fievolo were first introduced, Giada laughed at his face, judging him to be a spoiled rich boy with a pretty face and a riddiculous name to go along with a riddiculously big trust fund(takes one to know one I guess). Well, she was not totally wrong because he is all of those things minus the spoiled part. The guy was a complete gentleman except when he kissed Giada that night and the later punched him with her studs(ouch). But considering the fact that she was in a relationship at the time, this reaction was normal but the fact that she actually was attracted to Ari from the second they laid eyes on each other was not a welcoming emotion to someone like Giada. See these two were polar opposite. Where is Ari is carefree and a complete gentle man, our heroine is a rude and very direct person. In her own words, she is a little two direct and dealing with her is not a easy task but imagine her surprise that Ari actually likes her just the way she is.
Fast forward six months of that unfortunate punching incident, Giada starts an intership at a prestigious business consulting firm and guess who's the second intern?.... Well that will be Mr. Ariberto-Tight-Shirt. Aribert-kiss-the-girls-when-they-aren’t-expecting-it. Aribert-I-never-want-to-see-you-again-in-my-life- Castelli de Fievolo. And thats not all. They were just a desk apart and struck with each other for the next six months of their life working side by side. That should have made Giada irritated and uncomfortable, which she was with the situation but more than that they became a good team and eventually friends to something. Something that neither of them could ignore. Don't worry there was no cheating scenario but their chemistry was more than mind blowing...its mental stimulation as well. The dialogues were rich in humor and wit along with miss Premoli's signature sarcasm to the mix. I was swooning throughout the entire book but at the same time holding on to these characters, hoping to keep reading about them forever. This book was that good. It was everything a quintessential romance should be.

If you want to roam about Milan in your bicylcle or go in search of sex museums in Amsterdam red light district or play in a all girls band or play tennis match like a badass or just simply fall in love with a beautiful brown eyed man who loves all part of yours especially the flawed ones then this is definately your book.

To be honest I could see that Giada was a diffucult character. The girl is too direct for her own good but I loved Ari. He just was a perfect in every way. If you ask Giada or me, we can tell you that we both started to fall in love with him more and more as the book went on. I saw these two bond over their work, parents, personal life and I was hooked. This book is well written too. I haven't found a single thing that I didn't like about it. My favourite was Giada. She was a difficult to understand but a very hardworking and sweet girl underneath All the sass and sarcasm and bluntness. I adored the parts where she lost her mind over her crush on Ari but denied so with every breath she took. But you can see how deep the girl has gone when she protest too much to the closeness between her and Ari but glares at every girl who tries to flirt with him. She secretly loved all the attention that Ari showers on her.

"Is there some kind of support group for women with no willpower? Because if there is, I need to join it – fast."- Giada

The lady doth protests too much.
Anyways these are some of the examples of how she tried to resists the relation but I know what happened next but I am not going to tell you. You just simply have to find out when this book comes out on Nov. 14.
One of my favourite secondary character in this story was Lavinia. It was after a long time since I last read her book and she was more assertive in this story. Though her appearance was in parts but there was no doubt the changes in her character behaviour. Both Giada and I took notice of this fact....
But Ari stole the show. He made it perfectly clear from the start that he liked Giada and Bertha made sure that he got his girl. Though Giada hated him on principal but even someone as cynical and rude as her could not deny that he was a catch. Her parents would have loved him and that was enough for Giada to stay clear of him but was just so charming that he left me swooning all over them both. This story was just so charming. I just couldn't seem to put it down.
I recommend it to all rom-com fans and I really enjoyed it. Apart from great characters, this book had charming background of Milan. I was not bored for a single moment and enjoyed it immensely. And I loved the cover. Its absolutely beautiful. Something to add to my book collection.
Higly recommended and absolutely gorgeous story telling that will make you want to read more from this author.
Hope you all like it as much. Happy reading!

The story of Ariberto and Giada. He is attracted to her, but she does not belive him, and also she has a boyfriend. As a result she is just not very nice to him no matter how nice he is to her.

When they end up working at the same company as interns, and spending more time together she learns that she was too quick to judge him. Being with him will be proving her mother right, something she doesn't want to happen, so will she give Ari a chance?

Some of the same characters as the previous novel, Stuck on you

I enjoyed reading a novel with a different location than I have read before. The characters are students in a business program in Milan, Italy. They first meet each other one night when their groups of friends intersect at a bar. Ariberto is immediately attracted to Giada. The problem throughout the book is that Giada is rather unlikable so I found it hard to buy that Ariberto liked her so very much. She has a tough exterior because she’s afraid of opening up and being vulnerable to someone. But her real problem with Ari is that he is someone whom her conservative parents would approve of. And that is enough for her to dislike him on sight and to treat him rather crummily. He’s a dreamboat and worthy of better treatment.

I still enjoyed the novel for the location and the insights into international accounting that both characters are using in their internship. And Ari was a great book boyfriend. It was the heroine who was just too offputting.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
