I have previously reviewed "Good Hears Her," another daily devotional by the same Publisher. So when I saw this book. I was extremely happy to find another devotional just as great, relatable, pretty and accessible to a millenial Catholic girl who finds the Bible too intimidating to read on a daily basis. Again, I loved the pretty font, floral cover and neat organization as much as the content - well chosen Biblical verses and stories that go along with them, written by women who you end up regarding as friends by the end of the year. However, I had exactly the same issues as with the first book. The Kindle edition of this devotional is simply very plain, and while the content is absolutely great, it's just not quite exciting to reach for it every single day. Perhaps it's a bit shallow, but I think most consumers would agree that having an aesthetically pleasing devotional makes you so much more inspired. There are no pictures, illustrations or other visually rewarding things in this edition, which is something I would personally enjoy. *Thank you to the Publisher for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. |
This is another great devotional book for someone new to the Christian faith. I admire how simple and straightforward the message is. The book cover and design is simply beautiful! |
An encouraging devotional by and for women. Each page is a day of the year (with the date), and a brief anecdote from one of the contributors. I'm sure the target audience probably knows who the writers are, but I didn't recognize their names and there's no explanation in the foreword about who they are. So that was a little confusing, but the entries themselves are lovely little snapshots into the lives of different women. |

I absolutely love this devotional. It's made by women for women! Each day is from a different person with a different perspective. There's always an option for it to be short or long with the option of clicking on the link for a longer Scripture passage! I definitely look forward to it everyday! |
This book has helped me tremendously during this trying time. It has helped me keep my faith a daily practice especially during holy week due to there being no in-person mass at this time. Each daily passage has been insightful and given me bright and thoughtful starts to my day. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to dive deeper into their faith at this hard time in the world. |

God Sees Her is a collection of short devotionals for women. Being in God's word daily is vital for maintaining and growing my walk with God. This book is a helpful tool for this. The devotions are relevant, challenging and meaningful. I am glad that I have this resource and will regularly read it to deepen my walk with God. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this purposeful resource. |

I just reviewed God Sees Her by Various. #GodSeesHer #NetGalley [https://www.netgalley.com/member/book/178101] As usual, always love devotionals by Our Daily Bread. One inspiring for women such as this is a treasure! |
As I read this book, we are in week 4 of self-quarantine from Coronavirus. This book has been a God-send for me. Here are a year's worth of devotionals that remind us that God cares for us - and it is prefaced with examples in the Bible where it specifically says that God SAW a woman and her plight. We can be assured that He also sees us. Each devotion is short and to the point. I found that reading one was not enough. With so much time on my hands, I kept reading. This will be a useful devotional for me for years to come. At the same time, I have been reading the companion book. God Hears Her. My review of both books is nearly identical as both are well worth the read! |
I love a good 365 daily devotion book and this one does not disappoint! I generally enjoy Our Daily Bread devotionals, but I really loved the anecdotes and verses in this one because I felt like each one spoke directly to me as a Christian female. I will definitely be recommending this devotional to my female Bible study group as well as other women within my church. |
This is a very beautiful devotional, great message to start your day. The only thing is, I wouldn't recommend this one for the beginners or people who are just starting their walk with God. This is scripture heavy and it can get a little bit overwhelming. Overall 4/5 stars I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are solely my own. |
#GodSeesHer #NetGalley God Sees Her, is a devotional book written by women . A perpetual calendar with a scriptures verse and a related devotional. I loved reading both the scriptures and devotionals, they touched my soul, uplifting words that brought comfort and peace when I need it most. |
This is a really good devotional book. I feel like it really defines and encourages us as women through our normal everyday life with normal everyday problems. Some devotion books seem like they are so “high” above our day to day lives but not this one. Excellent job!! |

Like God Hears Her, this is a 365 daily devotional. The readings are geared for women, but men also could benefit. Each day provides a short Bible passage followed by a selection based on the passage. Each day's offering can be read in a few minutes, but its lesson will stay with you through the day. This book covers a year of devotionals, but could be restarted each year. This is a wonderful way to start your day of anytime you have a few minutes. |
I don’t not like this book, but it’s not my favorite. There’s some good things about it, but it doesn’t seem to flow or something to make it where I want to go to the end. I’m sure I will come back to it again and have a different opinion, but as of now, it’s ok. |
If you're familiar with the Our Daily Bread devotionals, you'll know what to expect with this. These are very short devotionals usually with just a few verses followed by a story that relates to the concept in the verses. These are by no means in-depth but are a great addition to your devotional time. This devotional would be great for someone who doesn't like to read a whole lot but is trying to start a devotional time or a mom with little ones who doesn't have a lot of time to give to devotions at this stage in her life. Also, if you're trying to do a Word before world time in the morning, these are quick, but give you a verse and thought to meditate on in the morning. |
Short and to the point daily devotionals. I haven't completed the book in it's entirety yet (since it's only March) but so far I have been enjoying it. It's good for those with busier lifestyle who want a quick encouragement at any point during their day. It's for sure not a "deep study" type devotional but it does have good nuggets of truth and encouragement for daily reflection. |
I've started and set aside so many devotionals, however God Sees Her is very likely to be the one that sticks. The devotionals though short are Holy Spirit power packed and heart stirring. It's so tempting to want to read ahead. God Sees Her would make a great gift. Thank you Our Daily Bread and NetGalley for such a wonderful reading gift. |
If you are familiar with Our Daily Bread's well-known daily devotionals, you would know what to expect from this title. Each day starts with a Bible passage to read, then a story and experience which is then somehow linked to the teaching of the day's verses. The reader could use each day's devotional to jumpstart further research and reading if required. If not, there is still much that can be reflected on and God Sees Her is a great companion for our quiet time with the Lord! We all need reminders that God sees us and cares about us and I think this book will meet this objective for anyone who cares to use it. I don't have access to a physical copy but from what I see online, it looks like a beautifully designed book. Thank you Netgalley and Our Daily Bread Publishing for the ARC. This is my honest review. |
