Dark Alpha's Temptation is a standard paranormal romance and a dropping into this series was facilitated by the respectable exposition, (not too much to be redundant, but enough that a new reader can easily follow along). That may not be the primary purpose of a long-running series, but it is helpful to new readers. This is aided by the fact that paranormal requires a bit of blind belief in the uniqueness of paranormal characters and structure. I was fully invested by the second act and the mystery of the Reapers. I enjoyed the lead characters, but dare I say the fellow Reapers are most interesting; it is hard to resist the pull of Death. Still, the conclusion was a let down as it didn't so much reach a stopping place, but rather an abrupt drop off with cliffhanger-like tones. Still, I'm intrigued enough to find out what happens next.

I have yet to read a Donna Grant book that doesn’t captivate me. With Dragons and Reapers and Fae, she draws us into a world of enchantment, passion and intrigue. Dark Alpha’s Temptation is no exemption. This time we have a reaper hero whose path crosses with a mysterious woman who herself has no idea of who she is and what she is capable of.

Kyra and Dublin’s story brings us one step closer to revealing more secrets of all the paranormal forces and the war between them. And what we
had assumed was the end of the dark light Fae Queen Usaeil may actually not have been true after all. And even though Kyra has no idea of the depth of her powers, it seems that she is going to be a powerful weapon in the fight against evil.

Another hot reaper finds his happily ever after in this addition to the series. Like many of Donna Grant’s books, my only complaint is that I wish that it was just a little bit longer. Can’t wait for the next book of the series!!

As I have only read book #2 and book #4 leading up to Temptation, I would recommend reading the series in order, and especially not to skip book #8. Right away it is referenced that A LOT has happened in between #4 and #9, with book #8 ending a major part of the over-arching plot and players. Aside from Kyra and Dubhan’s story, Temptation sets up the next big threat; the Others, an old and mysterious group prejudiced against the protectors of the human realm, the dragon kings. At one point, the book drags heavily with exposition, but Grant’s mix of mythology and ever changing politics in her paranormal world can be appreciated.

Still, there are a lot of tie-ins with Grant’s other series, of which I’ve not read, and it can get a bit overwhelming. But Duban is my favorite reaper to date and that is what basically kept me in the story. Like with Kyran and Fintan, he has no real familial ties except with the brotherhood, and that leads to internal conflict that he would rather leave buried, but in order to protect Krya, has to confront. More than with the other reapers and their heroines, Dubhan seems to soften around Krya a bit more and I liked that because the romances in this series seems to unfold rather rapidly. Overall, it’s an enjoyable read that will have fans wanting to see what comes next now that the Others are in the mix.

Dark Alpha's Temptation by Donna Grant is Book 9 of the Reaper Series. This book is part of a series and should seriously be read in order. This is a highly recommended read!

Ms. Grant nails it time and again with her wonderful paranormal romances; I can’t get enough of them. I’m gonna be hating it when the series is over but the good news is we have time, plenty of time before that happens. There is still so much going on in this sexy world of Ms. Grant’s and I have no intention of missing a second of it. A fan from the very beginning, Ms. Grant is an automatic go-to on my reading list and I have never been disappointed. If you haven’t picked up anything of this amazing author then you are missing out...go get you some!!!

Author Donna Grant never ceases to amaze me with her powerful imagination and descriptive storylines.

In Dark Alpha's Temptation the Reaper Dubhan and Kyra are both fully developed characters with very strong personalities. Each of them is resourceful, use to being in charge and going for what they want. This creates an interesting storyline when circumstances position them to team up to look for Kyra's Aunt and Xaneth. How the Author creates this push and pull between the two of them is believable and handled with finesse.

Kyra's long held secret is finally revealed and Dubhan fears for her life because of it. What I love about Kyra is how sharp her brain is and how she solves things that are unique puzzles. The reader will admire her quick thinking and strength of character no matter what happens to her.

If you want a strong protective man then Dubhan is it. He will do anything to protect those he feels can't protect themselves. Although he comes across standoffish and reserved, he is so deep and complex. He seems to get Kyra and knows what she is thinking which helps him stay ahead or at least close by her as she maneuvers things to find her aunt.

What would a story be without a twist to it. This one has a surprising ending and I know the reader will be shocked and delighted by it. This is a great romance and an even better story that will keep you reading to the end.

Wow! Dark Alpha's Temptation is a great book. I can't imagine that 'Death' is someone you'd want to cross. He probably takes things very seriously, but Kyra is worth the risk for Dubhan. Their story is action with plenty of heat.

This book really focuses on the couple, and I loved that. They do have a quick bond, but it's followed up with time together. They are both easy to like, and it was easy to see them coming together. In terms of the overarching story, we learn something very frustrating that I am a bit wary of, and I am curious to see how it will play out in future books. I did like that this one primarily focused on the couple, and enjoyed the romance aspects.

Overall, this is a good sequel in a strong series. While it could be read on its own, I think it is better to read more of these books, as the overarching story may be hard to follow. The romance stands on its own.

Anytime I pick up a Donna Grant novel I know I’m in for a treat. This book “Dark Alpha’s Temptation” was no exception. Great job!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Alphas Temptation, the latest installment in Donna Grant's Reapers series. This story focused on a second member of Eoghan's group of Reapers - Dubhan and his full fae love interest Kyra. This book served to bridge the gap a bit between what happened in the last Dragon Kings book and the previous Reaper novel. We get a little more insight into the "Others" but sadly there are no direct interactions with the Kings. I do believe this one sets the stage nicely for the upcoming release of the long-awaited DK book for Constantine and I cannot wait! All in all it was a great addition to the series and helps tie previous books in the King's universe together!

Another hit in the Reaper series. This one has Dubhan and Kyra's romance. She is a light fae witch, and he is an assassin for death. What an interesting combination. I enjoy Donna Grant's writings, and this one is no exception. Great characters, intriguing world, and interesting plot kept my interest strong throughout. Would highly recommend this book and author.

This author never ceases to amaze me with her fabulous and complex storytelling. This book follows the romance of Cathal and Kyra while revealing quite a few interesting twists and opening up the possibility of an all out war between the many factions populating this magical series. As usual, Donna Grant outdid herself on the character development and plot twists. Cathal and Kyra were awesome ! Cathal had suffered a truly shocking betrayal and all through the story he kept thinking that he was tainted by his dark past. Kyra was a kickarse heroine who's had a lot of secrets being witheld from her. Of course they were revealed in the end which forced Kyra to make some important choices about her future. I was enthralled as the revelations kept coming nonstop and left me wondering about what this master storyteller has in store for the readers next.

I couldn't get enough of this story, and like always, I can't wait for the next book !

I love a good DG book and how her series always merge and flow together is awesome. The Others have set their sights on The Reapers and I don’t think they truly understand the power they are up against. The battles to come are going to be epic. Dubham and Kyra worked so well together that I didn’t even realize I was half way through the book. Their story was passionate, entertaining, and the conflict between her and her mother added to the bigger conflict of the Others that keeps building. Such an easy and enjoyable read. I want more!!

I am here for the hair changing magic! Kyra, a fae, finds herself irrestibly drawn to one of the reapers, even though she knows she should stay away, but as a reader, I'm rooting for her! Dubhan has the distinction of being dark and delicious while still being full-of-life and easy-going. I love the change up in the trope and think it suits Dubhan. Kyra is also a fantastic character, following her own heart and instincts. The instant attraction actually turns into a friendship before love, and one again, it seems to fit the characters. Mystery, suspense, action, and romance! This is a great installment to the series but leaves plenty of questions left unanswered. I look forward to the next one!

Book Review- Dark Alpha’s Temptation by Donna Grant

This is a Reaper’s novel and it’s Dubhan’s story. The confrontation between Rhi and Usaeil is over and supposedly Usaeil is dead. Now everyone is turning their attention toward the Others.
Kyra is Fae and she is following a Reaper. She spotted him at the Light Castle during the battle. She has been able to track him. I love how Dubhan is surprised that Kyra can follow him. The Reapers, including Dubhan, are searching for Xaneth. He is constantly on the move. So, a lot is going on in this book and you get sucked in pretty fast.
At first you don’t know who Kyra really is and how she is tracking Dubhan. However, the author pairs them up as they search for Xaneth and stumble across information about the Others. It just raises for questions. The characters, along with the reader, aren’t sure what is really going on. Just as they get closer, something happens, and things get thrown off again. This author is really good at keeping the reader guessing. Hints are given throughout the book and you are herded into one direction only to be stopped with mouth gaping, trying to figure out what will happen next. Just as I think I’ve got it; she changes the direction the story goes.
I didn’t see Kyra’s family issues turning out the way they did. Or the past revealed about Dubhan. Hmmmm… not what I was expecting. It was a great story and I can’t wait to see what else the author comes up with. I give it a 4 out of 5.

I loved this book. The imaginary work of dragons and fae is enchanting. Kyra is a strong female that is unwilling to take any crap from anyone. I love the connection she shares with Dubhan. I devoured this book quickly as I do all Donna Grant books.

I was excited to read Dark Alpha’s Temptation. The promise of finally getting some knowledge of who the Others are and what their agenda excited me the most. I won’t lie and say that Dark Alpha’s Temptation delivers on that promise. Instead, what it does, is add to the mystery of who the Others are.

Dark Alpha’s Temptation was a filler book. There was no progression of the Reaper storyline. Don’t get me wrong; I loved the book. It’s just that I wish the storyline progressed a little more.

The plotline of Dark Alpha’s Temptation was lightning fast. As with most fast-paced books, there was some lag in the plotline. I didn’t mind it because once the author got over the lag, the book shot along.

Kyra and Dubham’s relationship was sexually charged right from the beginning. Some serious sparks were coming off the pages. When they finally did have sex, I thought my Kindle was going to combust spontaneously. It was that good.

I liked Kyra. I wanted to know why she was so focused on Dubham. There was a twist in her plotline that I didn’t see coming. I felt terrible for her.

Dubham was your typical strong but silent type. He was suspicious of Kyra but so attracted to her. His backstory was awful to read, and how he died was even more appalling. I can’t even begin to imagine what that was like for him.

I wanted to know where Rhi went, as did everyone else. There was a colossal complication with that storyline that made me go “Hmmmm.“

Like I mentioned above, the storyline with the Others got more mysterious. What was revealed at the end of the book surprised me. I want to know what their end game is!!!

The end of Dark Alpha’s Temptation was exciting. I have a feeling that the main characters in the next book were revealed. I also am looking forward to seeing what the Others are going to bring to everyone in this universe.

Kyra is one of the fae and looking for her aunt. She is stalking Dubhan, a Reaper for this purpose. The two are fiery and an interesting couple. The Dragon Kings will soon be more involved in this series. There are twists and turns in this short story.
