I am finally done with the book. Like wow. I should have read this last month but life got caught of me so i had to step back from book world.

The way this was written makes me think that there will be more. Even more so with the way the epilogue ended.

Yes, the day has come and how the events are aligned. I hope that the next books we will see how it will turn out.

Carrying Death's orders is my sole duty. I've never had reason to question her, even if I disagreed. But Kyra's fierceness and willpower sheds light on my mission. She drives the darkness of my world away. The answers to the Others' goals lie in her past. For Kyra, I will risk going against Death's wishes. For her...I will battle the past and the future itself.
This was another great story in a great series. I’ve read a number of Donna Grant’s books and they don’t disappoint. I really liked both Kyr and Dubhan. I really love it as both the Reaper series and the dragon series are linked together with the overarching plot of each series. I can’t wait for the next book. I highly recommend.

Book 9 in Reapers series. Twists, turns, love and intrigue. Donna is bringing her worlds ever closer together.

I think that the most important thing about this story is that you know that these books are intertwined with the Dragon Kings books. I think in this story, that is more obvious than in others and I don’t think you are going to lose a part of the story either way, but this is the first time I’ve really known they were intertwined. There will be spoilers if you don’t heed this warning, y’all.
The story is still wonderfully written and Donna Grants ability to bring this world into reality is beautiful. Falling in love along side Kyra and Dubhan is an adventure of itself. I can’t wait for what’s next!

I liked this ninth installment of the Reaper series, it was easy to follow, but I was not that much into the characters lives (you know invested) as it seemed rather flat when it was such a short story - I feel like I started and then suddenly ended, with some twists on general spectrum, but now when it came to the story of Kyra and Dubhan, which I classified as insta-love sie f romance, that also is not my favorite type of stories as I can't connect characters on mental and personal level then.
I see that a few series comes to conclusion and I can't wait what Ms. Grant will give us in these books - as the whole series is really intriguing and I wonder what will come next there!

A continuation of the Reaper series. This story focuses on Dhublan and Kyra. Both suffered traumatic childhood, one a light fae and one a dark. Bound to never love each other but Fate has other plans. Throw in the fight against the Others and revealing family secrets and you have a romance /mystery novel. Great read can do in one sitting. Be warned you will need to read the other books in the series as this one ends on a cliffhanger.

In this book, another raper finds its soulmate. Dubhan the previous dark fae finds that light fae Kyra is following him for a long time and knows about reapers. Dubhan and Kyra start a new adventure in which they find a few interesting unknown facts about the Other, feelings about each other and unexpected facts from their families. I loved the book, the story is yet again great written. Both Dubhan and Kyra are well developed and their love story develops beautifully and at the right pace. I loved that the story has more than one unpredictable twist and patiently waiting for the next one.

I love this series.
Wonderful characters that find their match but not without some turmoil. LOL!
This pairing was perfection for me. Kyra's character has a lot of appeal and sass.
As we get closer to the what promises to be and explosive battle my nerves are on edge.
The one thing I would have liked was more Dragon Kings.

One step closer to the epic battle to end this war. I like these reapers and their side stories. It makes me excited to get the next Dragon King book.

This is ninth book in the 'Reaper' series. I find this series and others from author Donna Grant's Dark World to be kind of like, fill-in-the-blanks to the big story, but not necessary to read them all. If you like reading one series at a time you can with no problem.

I like our heroine Kyra, she's a light Fae who just happens to be able to follow around a Reaper which could be a death sentence for her. She just can't seem to get her mind off the dark Fae/Reaper. She is hoping the Reaper can answer some questions she has about her beloved aunt who has gone missing, but she finds herself wanting to help him and his quest to find a light Fae that is missing. All they seem to find is trouble in the form of a past symbol on a door. This book didn't have as much action as the others in the series but I found it to still be a page turner.

One of the things I like about this book, is that it answered some questions I had when reading a book to the 'Dark King' series, like a puzzle piece falling into place. The other thing that I like in this story is you get more information on the “Others”, so if you have questions about them this book will help enlighten you some. I highly recommend this book and any of the other books from the 'Dark World', I'm looking forward to see how this story ends! I give this book 4.5 stars.

This much loved series of Dark and Light Fae , Reapers , Dragon Kings and a new enemy The Others continues with two new strong main characters , fated to find each other .

Kyra Kavanaugh . a Light Fae from an 'old family' line , unwittingly witnessed the Reapers in their recent battle against Fae Light Queen , Usaeil . Her gaze soley focussed on the battling Reaper , Dubhan ……… she cannot explain her attraction … is he her mate ?.
Dubhan , puts aside his search for Xaneth in his quest to get to know Kyra better - for she has abilities that might just aid them against the Others .
However the Others have become aware of Kyra - she now becomes a target …………. can Dubhan and the Reapers keep her safe , for they will need her abilities in the coming battle .

This book starts a new chapter in the ongoing series featuring the Dragon Kings and the Reapers in their fight against the Others …………… but it still leaves us with questions - where is Rhi . where did Usaeil's body go after she was killed . is she really dead and most of all can the Others be defeated ???

These books go from strength to strength and keep the reader invested in the fate of all the Dragon Kings and their allies . I look forward to the next in the series

This world is so vast and has so many moving parts, but somehow this author manages to focus in on new pairings each time, while simultaneously moving the larger storyline along.

If you're joining this story already in progress, welcome! There are dragon kings and reapers, fae and "Others," all fighting for different things. We go by TV show rules, where if you don't see a body, chances are good that someone is still plotting and lurking. We also believe that everyone is fated to be mated, and we will find a way to pair everyone off, even if it takes 100 books! In this one, we get Dubhan, a reaper who I'm sure I am not pronouncing right. He's gruff and determined to be the best reaper for Death, but he is also strangely drawn to his latest stalker, Kyra.

For those of you who didn't go through all the Rhi drama, there was a big fight at the end of a previous book, where the reapers stepped up to fight on the side of good instead of remaining impartial. This particular fight is what Kyra magically witnessed, and where she first saw Dubhan. There's a lot wrong with what happened, but the right thing is her magical pull towards him. These two are seriously fated mates, so if you're looking for a drawn out courtship, this ain't it. There's some sexy times, lots of quick love declarations, and ultimately a lot of big plot reveals! Who doesn't love that combo? I do, so I'm all in for the rest of this world.

I am a fan of Ms. Grant and her different ongoing paranormal series that are entwined in such a way that you can't really only focus on the one series since there are clues and characters that crisscross across the series. This story definitely moves the overall series forward but really feels more like a filler book than an exciting new entry into the series.
Kyra has heard the stories about the reapers but has never really given them much credence until she sees the battle at the light fae castle. Fascinated by the reaper she saw in battle she follows him even though knowledge of reapers is punishable by death. As it turns out not only is Dubhan equally fascinated by Kyra but the two are both on a quest to locate a missing person. Dubhan is looking for Xaneth who helped the reapers at the cost of his life and Kyra is searching for an aunt who gave her the only home she knew growing up.
As the two come together, we find out a lot of information about the "others" and some answers to open questions from previous books in the series and certainly some surprises. I wish the story had focused much more on the two protagonists however. I felt that they were incidental to a story where the author wanted an opportunity to close out some open questions to drive the series forward.
Having said that I want you to know that I still can't wait for the next chapter because I know there are exciting times ahead for both readers and characters.

Kyra is searching for answers to what happened to her aunt. Dubhan’s searching for a lost ally. A meeting leads them to team up for answers. Will they find the answers each is looking for? Can they put their separate but similar pasts behind them? What happens when she becomes the Dark Alpha’s Temptation?
Kyra has been following him since she realized the childhood scare stories were real and Reapers existed. She’s hoping that he can help her beloved aunt who helped raised her. Her aunt went missing many years ago and Kyra believes she’s dead. Changing her appearance, she believes that she’s been able to keep off the Reaper’s radar. Dubhan is looking for a missing ally that they hope will become King of the Light Fae. He notices a symbol on a building in the village he’s been searching and realizes it’s what has been keeping him coming back to the same area. While following Dubhan, they go into a bar and he turns the tables on Kyra. She can’t believe that she’s talking to a Reaper. Kyra is honest up to a point and decides that her search for her aunt can wait while she helps Dubhan search. She’s smart enough to realize that this maybe the end of her life since she knows about something Kyra’s not supposed to know. The instant attraction as them both trying to figure out how the other feels. Dubhan past has him trying to keep his distance and doesn’t know what to do about Kyra knowing about Reapers. He realizes how smart Kyra is and how unprepared she is to protect herself. He’s determined to keep her safe. The desire is too hot for them to resist and they become lovers. An idea brings them to a mortal who helps them find some information. Kyra’s ex-lover tries to persuade her not to keep looking for the meaning of the symbol Dubhan had seen only once before in his former family’s home. Guest come to visit Dubhan and Kyra. Plans are made with Dubhan putting in a good word for Kyra with Death. Kyra brings a new prospective to how to fight the Others. A meeting with the Dragon Kings is put into motions and the Reapers hope this new agreement may make the difference. The Reapers are impressed with Kyra and her honest way of telling them what they need to hear. A book becomes an important clue to the Others. The more time they spend together the closer they become, and Kyra’s past comes to light as a very magical family as one of the first to come to this realm. Dubhan reveals how he became a Reaper and the connection to her ex-lover and his family. The clues lead them back to her ex-lover but run into trouble and realize they’re too late to safe him or get the information they’re looking for. Kyra isn’t sad about his death and his that he got what he deserved. When a surprise guest shows up to take Kyra to become a member of the others. Back up shows up but isn’t needed as Kyra must decide about the threat to her life and that of Dubhan. Dubhan and Kyra make plans to keep her safe by living with all the Reapers.

Donna Grant continues the Reaper series with a man who always thought that he’d never know what love is and can’t forget the betrayal that made him a Reaper. He’s glad for the family he has. Kyra’s troubled past has her looking for the woman who changed her life after she’s gone missing. Watching a battle will change the lives of two people when they come together and find out their pasts are similar and that she’s destined to be the Dark Alpha’s Temptation.

This is a much beloved fantasy series of Light and Dark Fae, Dragon Kings, Reapers and now the Others. Dubhan and Kyra are two strong leads. Their story is so well fleshed out you connect with them and care when they have to see the truth of their heritage.
This is a story that can be read as a stand alone without you getting lost but then go back and enjoy the series. It will end with you wanting more.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable light read. It is action packed and continues to provide great descripton of the world that Donna Grant has created. It is colourful and fast paced. I have to say I did not find this particular book as compelling as some of its predecessors but nevertheless a lot of fun. The books tend to be instalments and I am looking forward to the next one.
