Dark Alpha's Temptation by Donna Grant is book 9 in the Reaper Series. This is the story of Kyra and Dubham. I have read the previous books which I do feel you should do this to fully enjoy and understand the ongoing story line. Dubhan is a Reaper who is on a mission to locate Xaneth but he is finding that someone maybe following him. Kyra is a Light Fae who is out to find her missing aunt who was the one to take care of her. Kyra starts to watch Dubhan who is a reaper but she finds she is attracted to him. Dubha comes face to face with Kyra which starts him being more and more taken with her. I have so enjoyed this series. For me it is a page turner series.

I enjoyed the latest installment in this world.

This is Book 9 in the Reapers series. We meet Kyra and Dubhan in this book. Kyra is a light fae and has been following Dubhan. She’s fascinated with him but also thinks he knows what happened to her aunt. Dubhan has been sent by Death o find Xaneth. What happens between the two when they meet is fantastic and a lot of fun. We find out more answers in this book, but it still leaves a lot of questions to be answered in later books. They are both strong people who add so much character and fun to the Reaper books. I highly recommend the Reapers if you enjoy having your loyalty tested and some really good romance. There’s a lot going on in here, so you won’t be bored.

I’m a fan of Ms Grant’s books and have read all the books in this series. I find her writing style easy to read and I like the way she paces the development of the plot. I love the fantasy world that Ms Grant has created and that her characters are not black or white, good or evil but allowed to be complex souls with a multifaceted mix of positive and negative traits.

I connect to a story more if the lead female character is intelligent, resilient and can look after herself; I wasn’t disappointed here. Kyra Kavanaugh is an amazing woman; I loved learning about her life and getting to know her in this story. Dubhan being a Reaper, obviously, means that we’ve met him before in previous books, however, it was great to get beneath his skin and get inside his head during this one. In fact, I liked the way that we learnt more about existing characters in this tale too; I don’t think any of the characters in this series are flat 2-dimensional creations, they all feel very real even though most are mythical species.

Ms Grant loves the romantic aspect between her lead couple to be concluded by the end of each book; I love Happy Ever After endings too. Woop! Woop! But Dark Alpha’s Temptation isn’t just about the romance between Kyra and Dubhan, there are various aspects weaved together in this tale and I liked that we had other threads to follow while trying to piece all the mysteries together.

Dark Alpha’s Temptation managed to catch me off guard a couple of times, had me reaching for a tissue or two *sniff* and holding my breath with tension but don’t worry dear reader there was also some well-timed banter and lighter moments to put a smile on my face, as well as beautiful anticipation that built the passion that certainly titillated my fancy. In other words, Dark Alpha’s Temptation had me gripped!

I really loved Dark Alpha’s Temptation but here’s where I must be completely honest and tell you why my rating was 4 stars rather than 5.

You may think I’m being mean, but my frustrations lay with the background stories; I didn’t feel as though any of my questions were answered. Dark Alpha’s Temptation features a few existing background story arcs that have been ongoing through this series and that of the Dragon Kings series – most of which are around the mystery and ongoing threat with the shadowy Others. These threads are left to continue to the next book and although we do learn some new information in this story, I’m desperate for more! However, rest assured, dear reader, I can say that Dark Alpha’s Temptation didn’t end on a life-or-death cliffhanger.

Dark Alpha’s Temptation has everything that I look for in a good paranormal romance story; adventure, mystery, action, great characters, some humour, romance and a sprinkling of passion.

Due to the graphic nature of the violence, fighting and sex scenes, I would recommend this book to adults who are not offended by this sort of content who enjoy paranormal romance tales with honourable heroes, heroines who have plenty of gumption and a gripping multi-layered backstory with action, romance, oh, and enough titillation to make you blush on the bus.

What a really great read I have not read the others so now i am hooked i will have to read them all.
Dubhan and Kyra is a wonderful story. I highly recommend it.

I'm going to be clear up front -- I jumped into this series somewhere in the middle, so my thoughts may be from a different perspective than those faithful readers that started with book 1. That being said, it hasn't made a huge difference to me that I didn't read the entire series. While the book works better if you know all of the history and backstory from book one, it's really the romance that keeps bringing me back to this world of dragon kings and reapers.

This book features Kyra, a Light Fae who's job it is to track down her loved missing family member. She's going to use reaper Dubham to help her in her quest. When they have an instant spark together, there's little mystery to how it will turn out, although there's guaranteed to be some twists and turns for both of these characters.

There's a lot going on in this world and things are building to a conclusion (aka battle) that I'm eager to read. This book felt a little like a transition book helping to stoke the excitement for a great fight. There's tremendous paranormal world building in the Reapers and Dragon Kings series, but if that isn't your thing -- you can just enjoy the romance. I do.
So overall, another satisfying romantic story set in this world that Donna Grant has created

This is the 9th book in this series and for best enjoyment, I do recommend reading them in order. Kyra is a light fae and is drawn to Dubhan who is a reaper. She asks him for help to find her aunt who went missing. Will he ignore Death’s orders and help her? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, great chemistry and has plenty of twists and turns. A great addition to this series.

She's spent years searching for her favorite Aunt. Eva has disappeared without a trace. Is she dead? I liked Kyra. She's a strong person with an unusual talent. I was amazed by her strong bond with Dubhan. I knew that they were meant to be together. I wanted them to find the answers they need to prevent bloodshed. The suspense continues to build as they seek answers. These two Are formidable. Someone with enormous power is playing games. The twists and turns kept me guessing. I wasn't sure what would happen next. Donna Grant has written a thriller that I couldn't put down. I loved the characters and was amazed at the complex story. The unexpected twists shocked me. I knew that the Reapers were a force to be reckoned with, but I never saw this coming.

LOVE THIS SERIES!! It's such a great companion series to the Dragon Kings series and I love how it's ramping up towards a huge finale. Really loved Kyra, I connected with her. But then I love Grant and her writing style and see to connect with all her heroines. LOL. Can't wait to see where we go next.

Wow!! A lot happened in this book, but there are still so many unanswered questions. I loved every second of Dark Alpha's Temptation. I'm so excited where the next book will take us and how the characters will react to the new, unfolding plans for upcoming books. Donna Grant has created another in a long series of entertaining reads. I look forward to the next chapter as she never disappoints.

This is definitely a series that you would need to pay attention to! Between the different "factions" of characters that play out in this book and the events, you will be in for a ride!

This book is Dubhan and Kyra's story. Kyra managed to see a certain battle that no one else saw and she was so enthralled by Dubhan that she began to follow him. Dubhan, being a reaper, should essentially be un-followable but somehow it has happened. While Kyra initially had a reason for following the Reaper she ended up helping him and the other Reapers in the end.

I enjoyed seeing a light Fae who has no problem with the fact that Dubhan was technically a dark Fae before he became a reaper. It is a new take on the relationships that have been shown!

I will always need more of these books and I truly believe anyone and everyone should read these!

I love Donna Grant's stories, they just suck you in from the beginning. This story is no different! Dubhan and Kyra were both very interesting characters and were great together. I look forward to seeing what the next chapter in the reapers stories is.

In this latest installment of the Reaper series by Donna Grant, we follow Kyra and Dubhan's burgeoning romance. The backdrop is Ireland, amidst the backlash of the events that took place in the Dark Kings book Fever. Dark Alpha's Temptation is not a stand-alone novel. Many books lead to this point, and I fear a new reader would be lost if this is their first in Donna Grant's Dark World series. Prior publications are worth the experience, and one could go back a long way. I love a richly developed setting, and this series is one of my favorites in the urban fantasy/paranormal romance style.

Dubhan is what you would expect out of a Reaper. Who can resist a sexy, immortal, justice dealing Irishman? Kyra is a courageous heroine to match. Together they are an attractive, charming couple. Overall I enjoyed their story.

Random spoilery thoughts: This book gave us more information on the threat to Reaper allies, and the Reapers themselves, which I enjoyed getting. After the events in Fever, I was hoping for a theory I had to be confirmed here, which it was not. I could be wrong, but time will tell. Until then I will have to deal with the lingering sorrow and frustration.

I like a story that is a quick and easy read. Paranormal in nature with secrets, betrayals and mysteries enough to keep you interested. Book 9 in the series featuring Reapers and the fight against evil. Dark Alpha’s Temptation has conflict, romantic tension and a cast of characters that will draw you into their world.

Dark Alpha's Temptation (Reaper, #9) by Donna Grant. Seriously! The absolute best of the series. I was intrigued throughout the entire story. I loved the romance between Kyra and Dubhan. A light Fae and a Dark Fae. Enemies that are supposed to be at odds with one another and she knows the forbidden truth about Reapers. Dubhan's loyalty to Death is put to the ultimate test. Duty and love clash as the Dark King's World continues to unravel. There is a spoiler in this book if you haven't read Fever (Dark Kings, #16), so take this opportunity to immerse yourself in the Dragon Kings as well as the Reapers. I can also recommend The Heart of Texas series by this author if you want contemporary romance.

I absolutely love Donna Grant’s books and this one hits it out of the ballpark. The story between Dubhan and Kyra pulls you in and won’t let go until the very end. I honestly could not put it down. We finally get some answers and a couple curve balls. I will say if you haven’t read the other Reaper books or her Dark King books you may want to start there. However, it is not necessary. Thank you for another great read and I can’t wait for more.

Having read a couple of these from this series I wanted to get into this one when I saw it. This author is great if wanting a paranormal to give you the magic for why you come to read them. These guys are in a league on their own with it being a reason it keeps your attention. Kyra and Dubham grab that attention in this one. The intrigue you will have building when she wants his help. They both have personalities that keep you turning the pages. Romance will burn the way. This one is a good addition to a wonderful series.
