This wasn't one of my favourites but it was very enjoyable.
I liked the characters and the story. It is well done.
I do recommend.

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading about each one of the siblings find their happily ever after. In the last book the legitimate siblings found out that their father had another son they knew nothing about. Enter Darius Taylor Pratt who's now successful in his own right running an active wear company only to find out that his biological father was a billionaire and he potentially stands to inherit some money.
Now in Royal, Texas thinking to make a deal with a reality television star he finds that he's been lured on false pretenses and if that was not enough the girlfriend he walked away from in College is designing the wedding jewelry for his biological sibling. Sparks definitely fly when the two come together but considering they happen to be staying next door to each other gives them a definite leg up for a second chance.
A delightful book.

Secret Heir Seduction is Reese Ryan's contribution to the Texas Cattlemen Club: Inheritance Series. Darius comes to Royal for a business deal of a lifetime, but what he lands on is a life-changing experience.
After being in town for just a short time, unexpected meet up with an ex-girlfriend and finding the betrayal of his true parentage. With the chemistry between Darius and Audra and the anticipation of the meet and greet with the siblings, it takes no time at all to get wrapped up in this one.
I enjoyed watching Darius and Audra find their way back to each other and how all the Blackwood siblings accept one another. I enjoyed the drama of second chances, healing, and forgiveness that this title gave us.
I think this was an excellent addition to the Inheritance Series.

Mentioned in SBTB's March New Releases, Part 1: https://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/2020/03/marchs-new-releases-part-one/

I'm a sucker for second chance romance stories so I jumped at the chance to read this book.
Darius and Audra dated in grad school and broke up. Five years later they are reunited. I liked the both of them because they were go getters and Darius was self made. I felt like simple communication would have solved their issues. While reading this book I was able to catch up with previous characters and that was a nice surprise.
This story did mention two other characters and I'm a little curious about their backstory so it looks like I will have to check out the previous book in this series.
Reese Ryan is an author that whenever she releases a book I make it my business to read. This was a nice, well written second chance romance and I'm counting down the days for her next book.

Reese Ryan’s entry in the multi-author Texas Cattlemen’s Club: Inheritance miniseries has everything a Desire ought to: dazzling glamour, family secrets, and high-octane emotion delivered straight-up, no chaser. Everyone (we see perhaps one too many cameos from past couples in the miniseries) is gorgeous and talented and passionate, reluctant to settle for second-best, determined not to let themselves get hurt again (but doomed to fall in love regardless, of course).
But the thing I loved the most was the way work worked in this novel. Audra is a diamond heiress, sure, and she has more piercings than any Harlequin heroine I’ve seen (tongue stud, nose piercing, belly ring, oh my!)—but first and foremost she is a high-end jewelry designer, and we see on the page how much time and energy she puts into her work. This makes her a perfect match for Darius, a rising performance wear designer and fellow workaholic. They bond over that unique combination of creativity and business ambition, and it gives them a connection besides the sexual that really drives home their suitability as a couple. It’s also a beautiful anchor for the angst—and it left me with a warm, comforted feeling in my chest, just the thing I want from a category.

I really wanted to like this book and parts I did but it just fell flat for me. I have not read the other books in the series but the lead and side characters just didn't have the depth needed to fall in love with this book. The middle of the book is super confusing as we move to other characters and its just felt like listing names and no personality of the people.
I really wanted to get into the lead couple as well. Darius and Audra have chemistry but they also have trust issues big time. The past relationship makes it okay, I guess. I also wanted more at the ending, since it was finally just them and their love but it was so fast, need way more to get the feeling of a HEA.
Overall, I give it 3 stars and 3 steam.
*Thanks to Netgalley, publishers, and author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review

I feel like I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I would have liked to because I didn’t read the pervious books in the series. That being said I did like this book, I just feel like it would have been more. Audra and Darius were a sweet couple to read about. I enjoyed the chemistry that they had.

I really enjoyed the story of Darius and Audra. Even though they are both wildly successfully and wealthy, they are both very relatable and I quickly became invested in getting the two of them together. You can tell intermediately they are perfect together but after their first attempt at romance ended badly in college, the two have to get over some serious hurt to try at love again. Audra has her most recent ex trying to win her back, Darius has his new found paternity and siblings to wrap his head around, and the two of them have successful careers that they need to focus on. Reese Ryan weaves all of this together into a romantic and intriguing tale of scandal, love, and forgiveness.
Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to read and review this title. All opinions and mistakes are my own.

Quick Plot Synopsis: Second chance romance between a couple who met and fell in love in grad school and then broke up for reasons and now have run into each other in Royal, Texas after Darius discovers that his biological dad was this really rich guy who is now dead and he has three half-siblings.
I've stated before that I'm new to categories, but I'm loving my discovery of them because they're quick and are basically giving me a dose of trope-y serotonin straight to my brain. Which likely means that choosing to read a second chance romance when it's one of my least favorite tropes was a bad idea. I'm not overly familiar with category romances, obviously, but I did find this one odd because it had several pages dedicated to a secondary romance with characters that had a preexisting romance. I'm accustomed in non-category romances seeing established couples in series share some small page space with the main couple, but this was (a) more than that and (b) odd in a series where the books are written by different authors.
Anyway, let's talk about what works in this romance. I really loved the way Darius' relationship with his new found siblings unfolds, but I wish we would have seen Vaughan at all on page in this book. Sophie is absolutely lovely and I rather adored her. I assume she was the heroine of a prior book and I want to go track that down now. I also liked the careers Audra and Darius had, of jewelry and clothing design respectively.
What didn't work for me was the conflict in this book. I don't do well with secret keeping either, but tbh, the way the secret came out had me pretty aggravated and I didn't like that the secret revealer got a free pass for breaking the law. Like... Dude. No. But, as I've said before, second chance doesn't tend to work well for me and here that was especially true because I didn't feel like we had enough to get the conflict from the first break up nor enough character development for me to believe fully in the HEA in the end. But if this IS your trope and will give you serotonin, absolutely go for it!
(Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to read this book early!)

A solid second chance romance, Secret Heir Seduction follows Darius as he arrives in Royal to discover he is a lost heir to a (now deceased) father he never knew. That’s not all though as he gains 3 siblings overnight and gets a further shock when he discovers the woman he walked away from 5 years ago is in Royal to design jewellery for his new sister. What’s more, she is staying right next door.
Can Audra forgive the lies that Darius told 5 years ago even though he is obviously still lying?
Well, of course she can. It is a Harlequin romance after all… Set amongst the rich and famous, there is a lot to like about Secret Heir Seduction. Likeable characters who are both driven and fun. However, to be honest it’s all very surface level with not much depth to either the characters or the story. I also found the little spin off romance between Lulu and Kace to be confusing. It was all very sweet, I just didn’t know why it was there.
In summary this is a quick and easy read that contains everything you come to expect from a Harlequin romance. Interesting characters, a little bit of drama alongside a dash of sex. Secret Heir Seduction doesn’t have much depth to its story or its characters, but it was still a fun way to spend an evening.

I love a second-chance romance and Darius and Audra were perfection! The story was a great mix of twists mixed in with romance and sexy times! Absolutely loved it, and need to pick up the others in the series now!

Secret Heir Seduction is the first book I have read in this series and I believe my first by Reese Ryan and I liked it. Darius learns of his true parentage the same day he learns his ex, Audra, is in town to design jewelry for his sister's wedding. The chemistry between the two characters is evident from the beginning of the story. This is a second-chance for them since their relationship ended five years ago. The reasons why they walked away could have been cleared up with proper communication, but Darius and Audra are now mature enough to tackle their problems. There was a brief point where the author delved into two other characters relationship, which confused me but I do realize this is part of a series.
Overall, I look forward to reading more in this series and more from this author. Thank you #Netgalley

Secret Heir Seduction is the 4th book in the latest Texas Cattleman’s Club series. This book features Darius Pratt, the newly discovered Blackwood heir and jewelry designer Audra Covington. I probably should have read the previous books to really understand the dynamics of the supporting characters as they play an important part in this story.
This is a nice, second chance love story, set in the midst of family drama, a wedding, and a reality show. Introduce a last minute creepy ex and watch the drama fly.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book from NetGalley.

4.25 Stars / 3 Steam Fans
As I started this book, I was extremely interested in this story. Darius is a fashion designer that has built his business from the ground up, and when he is invited to this small town in Texas for a possible business deal, he learns that there is more to the small town that just the deal. Audra is a diamond princess that has gotten out from under her parents' wishes by creating jewelry that is in demand by high profile people. When she is invited to create custom pieces for a well off family in this small town in Texas, she also runs into an old flame that ended badly. Darius and Audra were looking toward a future five years ago, but the relationship ended on a bad note, so when they happen to run into each other in this small town, old feelings start to resurface. I enjoyed Darius and Audra's journey through possibly finding second chance love, independence, and learning trust and open communication. There is a middle part of the story that worried me as I was reading because of the character focus switch, but in the end, the focus was refocused back to the main couple, Darius and Audra. This story does make me want to read the other books in the series to find out about all of the other characters that make appearances within this story.
