Thank you NetGalley and publishers for an egalley.

I was attracted to this book as it came during the this day in age where grudges are easier to hold, then forgiveness is to release. It was a beautiful collections of stories of forgiveness and how important forgiveness is. I loved Schwarzenegger's writing and perspetive on forgiveness!

Ms. Pratt has interviewed several people, some famous, some not, who have been through very difficult times. Their accounts of forgiving people who have wronged them is told in about 6 pages to each story. Ms. Pratt also writes her perspective at the end of each story.

Recommended for public libraries.

This book will now become extra credit reading this year for my post grad students. There are so many ways to have them complete an essay or paper in regards to their own story after completing this book. Bravo!!!

Beautifully written, this book explores instances of people who are able to forgive under the harshest of circumstances. I struggle with forgiveness. It is a very difficult feat to accomplish. Reading these stories helped me think of some aspects in my life I have been struggling with. Very insightful book!

This is a book for anyone and everyone. Reflecting on forgiveness is enlightening and empowering. To open with the story of Elizabeth Smart, held captive by two strangers who did unthinkable things to her, is to immediately be drawn out of your own self and into the life of another. Excellent!

This was a wonderful book to start out the new year. Each of the stories shared throughout this book resonated with me in a different way, as each one hit a different aspect. I will highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a new way to approach what life deals them.

This book was received as an ARC from PENGUIN GROUP Viking - Pamela Dorman Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was read at the right time. I loved the stories Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt shares throughout the book and the powerful message each of them express and the theme each person got from forgiving their culprits. Plus the advice Katherine shares after each story is really powerful and has a lot of great insight that everyone can learn from. The two that spoke to me the most is Chris Williams who lost his wife and kids to a car crash by a drunk driver and Sue Klebold whose son Dylan was one of the shooters at Columbine and she really had to struggle accepting what her son has done and the trauma he caused from killing all of those students. Katherine really digs deep and if they can forgive the people that have caused them trauma, everyone can find forgiveness in everyone no matter how tough the circumstance is and no matter how long it takes. Nothing happens overnight and forgiveness is not any different but some do find closure and justice in themselves all by forgiving. As Katherine says, "When we learn to embrace forgiveness, it opens us up to healing, hope, and a new world of possibility."

We will consider adding this title to our Non-Fiction self-help collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
