I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. This book was just amazing. I just lost myself in this story and didn’t want it to end. It was really well written and just drew in you into these characters lives. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author. |
I will leave a review on Amazon or B&N on Feb 25, 2020 I received a digital ARC of this novel courtesy of NetGalley and St. Martin's Press in exchange for an honest and voluntary review. I found this to be an entertaining and easy read. It was very well written, and I really enjoyed the chemistry between Tucker and Gillian. This was the second book in the series but it definitely can be read as a stand alone book without any trouble. I have read a few of this author's previous books and like those this book didn't disappoint. I would certainly recommend it to others that enjoy small town romances. |

Emily March continues the story of the McBrides of Texas with her new book, Tucker. Tucker McBride moves back to Redemption, Texas, a man whose life was planned out, or so he thought. When circumstances change, he becomes a man looking inside himself to try and discover who he really is. Gillian Thacker thought her life was set until she is left by her fiancé before their wedding. What will become of her dream to be an event planner, something she and her fiancé had planned to build together? Will she be able to love and trust again? This is a story of relationship growth, teaching Tucker and Gillian what is necessary to believe in their dreams and how to trust again. This is a must read for new and old fans of Emily March! |
Author Emily March is truly talented in the art of telling a story. I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read so far & Tucker’s story is added to that list. There was chemistry from the start but what I loved the most was the truly sweet romance that Tucker created in his romance of Gillian. Fear & pain were prevalent in this story for Gillian as a jilted bride & unsure if she’d ever know love again. Tucker from day 1 wanted Gillian in his life. When her wedding never happened he realizes that he now has a chance to win Gillian's heart & commits to a plan. Along the way some surprises happen, as well as heated moments but in the end the Enchanted Canyon has created another love story completed. Definitely recommend. |
This was such a well put together story filled with the characters we come to know and love from Emily March's Eternity Springs and now Redemption, Texas. In my opinion, this was truly a "Happily Ever After" love story. Wedding planner and bridal shop co-owner, Gillian always dreamed of her perfect princess wedding. However, she is learning that her dream may not come true. Tucker is ex-military and creating a new life as a wilderness training expert back in his hometown of Redemption, Texas. He is trying to figure out where his life is going. When these two meet sparks fly, although both try to deny these sparks. They come together first as friends, but circumstances make Tucker become Gillian's knight in shining armor, so to speak, as he helps her through a few situations. Filled with great characters, humor, sweet romance, and beautiful setting, Book 2 in The McBrides of Texas was a perfect feel good read. Many thanks to St. Martin's Press for providing a copy via Netgalley for my honest review. |
An ARC from the publisher. I love going back to these cousins. The way the thoughts and the narration it makes me laugh on how this was made. I love how the story of these two began to unravel. The hurdles that Gillian had to go through and how Trucker overcomes them, makes each page interesting. Can't wait for Boone's book! |
This is a charming romance set in a town that is a vision of what we all would like to live in, Redemption, Texas. The characters in this town were funny, realistic and at times markedly boisterous in their beliefs. Tucker McBride has come back home after serving as a U.S. Army Ranger. He has a plan to use his skills to set up a wilderness training school. Setting up his shop next to Gillian Thacker’s Bridal Bliss boutique, Tucker is immediately taken by the boldness of this young woman. The conflict comes when both want to use the same space in the small town. Although this is part of a series, I can attest to the fact that it can be easily read as a standalone since I have not read any of the other books myself. My favorite character was Tucker, a strong protagonist with strong beliefs about his own talents and what he wants from life. The theme seemed to be the importance of family and learning to trust others after being burned. I thoroughly enjoyed my first glimpse into the lives of the McBrides and will search out the other books in the series to check out their heroes. Fans of clean, light romance will enjoy this book. |

“Tucker” (Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas #2) by Emily March I received an ARC of this story from the publisher with the request for a review. Honestly, I loved this story. It had all the reasons for getting completely immersed in a story. Love, Romance, Heartbreak, Healing, an easy to dislike character, well actually maybe three(?) of those. Plus a host of characters you would be ever so pleased to have as your friends and family. Yes, this story is very much worth the read. Happy Reading ! ! |

Although I enjoyed this book, it did not quite measure up to the previous ones. The main characters were easy to enjoy, especially Tucker. He provided a few laugh -out- loud moments. I enjoyed catching up with some of the characters from the previous books and thought the author blended them into this story in just the right way. The plot flowed evenly throughout the book and it was an easy read. It could have used a little more steam, for my taste. Would I recommend it? Definitely for a quick, light, fun read. |

This book is the second in the series of the 3 McBride cousins, but is also attached to the whole Eternity Springs series. I really enjoyed Tucker and Gillian's story. This was one of those books I didn't want to put down. Their banter was very entertaining. I like the characters and the storyline moved along quickly. Looking forward to Boone's story next, and eventually going back to read all of the Eternity Springs series 🙂🙂🙂 |
I loved the story of tucker. I couldn't put down. I was like wow to one of the character's. I didn't like him. Ha Ha. But it made the story interesting. I loved all the other characters tho. Hope to find more of this series I can't wait for more. I always love Emily March book's. |
Before I started this book, I had to read Jackson's story. I wanted the background before I met Tucker. Tucker and Gillian's story is cute but it feels rushed to me. I did not like Gillian too much, at times I felt she just was self involved, wanting to string this guy along while she could not make up her mind. Tucker's feelings went from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye. The story moves through months of time but it doesn't relay the progression of the emotions adequately. I could not find sympathy for Gillian in this book. |
Gillian McBride is half owner of Bliss Bridal Salon in Eternity Springs, Colorado. She is also engaged and, Happy? Something is wrong with Gillian's fiance and, their relationship but, she can't put her finger on it. Maybe it's pre- wedding jitters but, every time she tries to speak with her fiance about it, he changes the subject or, calls to cancel their plans. Meanwhile, She meets Tucker McBride, a new addition to Eternity Springs who decides to open a wilderness survival school right across the street from the Bridal Salon!!! Seriously? Gillian was going to buy the building to expand the Bridal store into a complete bridal experience with everything any bride could possibly want or need, in one place!!! Tucker is determined to finally go after the first woman he has been attracted to in years but, it's going to be a huge uphill battle with Gillian, a woman who is a planner down to her toes. He just blew her plans out of the water and, she is floundering!!! The fight is real and, never ending!!! So is the love!!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!!!! So sorry to see this series end!!! |
This is the second book in The McBrides of Texas series. Tucker’s story is one of figuring out what the next chapter in his life will be after the army. He comes home to the small Texas town of Redemption and meets Gillian, a beautiful, smart, and (sad to say) engaged woman. When life hands Gillian a major upset she and Tucker find they might have a lot to teach each other. It will take a while for these headstrong people to realize what it takes to survive and move forward, possibly together. The McBrides of Texas – Tucker is filled with fun repartee between Gillian and Tucker. I enjoyed the laugh-out-loud scenes that played out in Las Vegas as well as on the Texas hiking trails. A fun novel all the way around. I’m looking forward to Boon’s story that was hinted at near the end. |
I had discovered The Eternity Springs series a couple of years ago. I fell in love with the romances. Then, I saw that there was a spin-off with the Texas cousins. Again, I fell in love with the first book. So, when I saw that Tucker was available for review, I jumped on it. I figured it had to be as good as Jackson and The Eternity Springs series. And let me tell you, I was right!! Tucker is the 2nd book in The Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. But, and I will say this about all of the stand-alone books in series, read book 1!! There are recurring characters that crop up in Tucker who’s background stories will make you wonder what’s going on. The pacing of the plotline for Tucker was perfect. It was slow and sweet. Usually, I am not a fan of those types of plotlines. I need a bit of speed to them. But, considering everything Gillian went through in the book, the slower pace was required. There was some lag in the plotline, right around when Gillian broke things off with her fiance. But the author was able to get the book back on track. There were no dropped storylines or characters. I loved Tucker. I liked that he called out Gillian’s fiance for what he was, a pretentious d-bag. I loved that he was honest with himself about being very attracted to a woman in a relationship. I loved that he knew that he wanted to be with Gillian but was willing to wait until she healed before he pursued her. I also know that he was comfortable in his skin. He got out of the Army when he was being pressured to make friends with the suits in Washington. He used his Army expertise to start a survival school, which I loved. I just loved him and was #TeamTucker the entire book. I liked Gillian, but man, she was a mess for 90% of the book. She was engaged to a guy who was a jerk. She changed everything she wanted for a wedding to accommodate him. I wanted to shake her and say, “Wake up, sweet cheeks!!” I liked that she was honest enough with herself to admit that she was attracted to Tucker. What I didn’t like was that she did lead him on at points in the book. I get that she was trying to find herself, but man, do it away from Tucker. Also, how could she have never hiked living near that canyon? And to hike by herself? WTH was she thinking!! The romance between Gillian and Tucker was slow-burning. It was so slow at times that I wondered if I had imagined the heat between them. But, once Gillian and her fiance broke up, it came roaring back, and it was electric. The sex scenes were pretty tame, considering the heat between Gillian and Tucker. They weren’t explicit, but you knew what was going on. I liked that. It didn’t take away from the romance. I was furious with the plotline with Gillian and her fiance. I figured something happened, but I wasn’t expecting who it was. I loved how the author ended that plotline. Talk about satisfying!! The plotline with Tucker and his business was fascinating. It was the first time that I have read a book where survival training was written about. I liked that he started small and morphed it into a thriving business. The end of Tucker was what I expected. Some of the plotlines were wrapped up, and some weren’t. I did like that Tucker and Gillian got their HEA. I also cannot wait to read book 3!! From the foreshadowing in the book, it looks like it will be a good one!! |

3.5 Stars There is something delicious about a story that has a Cowboy, a woman who discovers there is more than her plans, and a sweet romance. This had everything like that and it worked on a lot of levels. |
Super cute romance book! I wasn’t really confused even though it’s part of a trilogy. It kept my attention the entire time even though it isn’t something that I normally read. Loved how the characters developed and that it took place in Texas. I would definitely recommend! |
This is a well written book that hooks you on the first page. It’s a heartwarming story that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I look forward to reading more books by this author. Thank you St. Martin’s Press via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own. |

Eternal Springs is an enjoyable read. This is the second book in this series. Everyone is excited for the upcoming wedding of Jackson and Caroline. Gillian is planning her own wedding also. Lots of plot twist will keep you wondering about Jeremy and hid love for Gillian. You'll love how love works out for everyone. |
