I adored this book!!!! Mateo, the werewolf who has a hex placed on him so he cant change so he enlists the helps of Evie, a witch. They are totally attracted to each other and there is a lot of sexual tension and it was so fun to read. Steamy, fun, witty dialogue, great pop culture references and set in New Orleans. Simply wonderful. Well done, Juliette Cross. Cant wait to start books 2. Thank you for the advanced readers copy!

Evie and Mateo were absolutely adorable together. They had my heart from beginning to end.
Evie is a quirky, geeky, and good hearted witch that can't say no to those who need. I loved all the wonderful geeky references Juliette added to the book. It doesn't matter if you are or are not a fan of comics and star wars and all the other things referenced in the book, you will love Evie's passion for it and be enthralled by it the same way Mateo was.
Mateo suffered -due to his wolf- a serious case of split personality! Mateo is soft, kind, caring, loving, careful with his words... his wolf is brash and focused on only two things: fighting and sex. And upon meeting Evie, fighting and Evie. 
I loved how different he is from his wolf to start and how much the two of them become one as the story progressed. It was both sweet and funny. 

Wolf shifters are my ultimate favorite. So there is a chance I am a tad itty bitty bias. I also think Juliette Cross is an amazing human being, so that might maybe perhaps make me a little bias too... but hey, I will try to be fair.
The book had one negative... sort of... kind of... I don't see it as a negative but a necessary evil... but fair is fair so here it goes: it was a tad slow and info dumping at times. I personally believe that is necessary when you start a new series, how else are the readers going to get acquainted with your new world?! But, yah... there were moments were I wanted the story to move along a little faster.

I finally got round to reading this novel during the pandemic. Wolf Gone Wild was not what I was I expected. It was a fun and quirky paranormal romance which made a nice change from the domineering alpha werewolves that are so commonplace in paranormal romance novels.

Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross is the perfect for readers new to paranormal romance and current fans alike. This book has a great cast of characters, including Evie and her sisters. I loved how this book brought you into Cross's world of magic. And I especially enjoyed the music easter eggs. I love when a book scene has a music reference! A fun paranormal perfect for any season! Especially fun to read at Halloween.

Wolf Gone Wild follows Evie, a witch - hexbreaker to be precise and Mateo, a werewolf with a problem. In Wolf Gone Wild Mateo hasn't been able to shift in months and his inner wolf 'Alpha' is driving him crazy. Mateo seeks out Evie, one of the Savoie sisters, to ask her to break his hex. It turns out that breaking this hex isn't as easy as it seems. In order to break the hex, Evie and Mateo spend a lot of time together and grow closer by the day. 

Wolf Gone Wild is an adult romance and it has all the right elements to be a success: hot werewolves, smart, funny and badass witches, New Orleans, hilarious banter and a great premise. I was hooked from page one.

Evie is an amazing and fun main character and all her Marvel and Star Wars preferences were right up my alley. You just can't help falling for Mateo and the hilarious banter that he has with his 'inner' wolf Alpha. I was literally choking with laughter at times. The Savoie sisters were also a great addition to the story with each sister having her own persona and power. So good!

Very excited to pick up Don't Hex and Drive, the second installment in this Stay A Spell series by Juliette Cross.

Mateo hasn’t been able to shift for the last three months. Consequently, his wolf has “taken residence in his mind” continuously taunting him and driving him crazy with suggestions of fighting every guy that looks him in the face or taking to bed any girl who flirts with him. He is just one step short of going crazy. Evie, on the other hand, is a Savoie – a family of powerful witches. Their coven has a strict rule – no werewolves. Why? Because they are temperamental.
So, when Mateo comes begging at her door, will Evie refuse him?

You already know the answer. However, Cross makes it worth your time to read this book. Two persons of opposite polarity—one a witch, another a werewolf; one an extrovert, another a loner—come together to make you fall in love.

The romance between Evie and Mateo is to die for. There is oodles of sizzling chemistry between them. It is a passionate, slow-burn romance, yet steamy and physical. Exactly, my kind of romance.
However, what I loved the best in this book was the third person. Yes, you read it right. The third person here is none other than Mateo’s inner wolf. (Let’s name him, Mr. Wolf.) Oh, boy! Mr. Wolf is so snarky, sassy, and humorous. Further, he is impulsive as hell. Hence, it was a treat to read the battle of wills between Mateo and Mr. Wolf. Mateo always tries to suppress the wolf in him so that he does not commit anything rash, but Mr. Wolf has a mind of his own, literally. 

Moreover, a little folklore sprinkled throughout the story and serious action (at the end) involving witches, werewolves, and vampires further bolsters the plot of this book. The climax is satisfying too without any cliffhanger. Further, I can already see the beginnings of many more great pairs to emerge from Cross’ world of these paranormal creatures. I am keeping my fingers crossed to follow their love stories as well.
If you are a romance aficionado looking for a fast-paced, steamy, and breezy read to make you forget the world for some time, Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross is perfect for you.

This is the first I've read of Juliette Cross and I wanted to enjoy it. It had some really funny parts but I couldn't connect the romance between the MC's and that is essential for me.

I devoured Wolf Gone Wild because I was enthralled not only by the witty banter of the characters, but also because of the steamy chemistry between Evie and Mateo, as well as Evie and Alpha. Wolf Gone Wild was a new dynamic for me. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how both Evie and Mateo managed their obvious budding feelings for each other while simultaneously trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the reason why Mateo is unable to shift. A surprising theme that plays throughout the entire story is being true to oneself, as well as a hefty appreciation of art and fandoms such as Star Wars. If you throw a solid nod to a Star Wars fan like myself, you know I’m going to love it.

Juliette Cross also gives little sprinkles of hints of books to come. Getting to know Evie’s sisters and extended family is part of the lush and magical world of the Stay a Spell series. I loved Wolf Gone Wild and I  absolutely cannot wait for Book 2, which is due to be out later this Fall.

I love over the top ALPHAS!! YES!! Wolf Gone WIld by Juliette Cross has a ton of wit and snark. It's also hot and so much fun!

When I say Juliette Cross never, absolutely never fails me, just trust me on this. I don't know who you are and how you stumbled upon my Goodreads page, welcome, I AM TRASH for anything Juliette Cross. This queen floors me with every delicious PNR she creates. This crazy book is no exception. IT IS JUST WONDERFULLY YUMMY AS ALL OF HER WORKS.

So the story revolves around this crazy hot werewolf who is having the worse case of meltdown as it seems someone put a hella awkward hex on him. TO TOP IT, HIS OVERLY SEXY AND INSATIABLE WOLF WON'T LEAVE HIM BE WITH HIS COMMENTS. Now our sweet and pure hearted werewolf needs to find a way to break his hex because his wolf drives him absolutely nuts. 
Enter a gorgeous Hex-Breaker witch who is the only one who can break that very inconvenient hex.

My friends, I think I had too much fun with this book as I was grinning and laughing out loud and swooning and smiling and straight up panting with these characters because HOLY CHEMISTRY. 

Juliette has an uncanny ability to create such male character you cannot help but fall in love and curse your destiny as you simply cannot find anyone like them in real life. MATEO FRANCISCO CRUZ is delicious. In fact, he is one of my top three favorites males created by Juliette. I would totally marry Mateo, because his sweetness and downright sexiness makes your head spin and your heart swell.

I loved the story and the relationship dynamic between all the characters. Evie was a great character and was complimenting Mateo's sweet nature wonderfully. Their relationship developed so beautifully, it left me breathless as I was feeling the feels. 

The story was set in New Orleans and has all that crazy paranormal vibes that usually comes with it. 

I literally cannot wait what else Juliette is going to deliver in this world because I am smelling more delicious stories coming to us about certain sisters and their hot men. I am utterly delighted and excited toward that prospect.

I am immensely thankful to Juliette for kindly providing me this ARC. These were my crazy honest thoughts about this fun and light novel about wonderful witches and hot and swoony werewolves.

This was a middle of the ground read for me. It started of pretty strong, petered out a bit, and then picked back up at the end. The writing was solid though, and I look forward to reading more of this author.

This novel completed everything it set out to do. It provided enjoyment.  I read this novel at the end of a long day to slow my mind down. It gave suspense, romance, and intrigue. The novels setting was in New Orleans which offered the  appeal of set novels set in the south with supernatural themes. The novel features a trio of witchy sisters who come together to aid a  Werewolf who has just moved to the city.The novels prose was relatable and had a quick sense of humor I could not get enough of. The overall charm of this novel was plentiful and recommend it to those who enjoy light reads with compelling characters, intriguing situations and supernatural themes. The romance between Witch (Evie Savoie)  and Werewolf (Mateo Cruz)  will keep you wanting to come back for more. Thankfully this novel  has a sequel coming out in September. This will center around another  Savoie sister (Isadora). Overall I give this novel four out of five stars on good reads.

I thought I'd give this a try, but I realized I am not that big of a fan of werewolf/witch books. Not really my genre.

It's been a while since I read a story about a werewolf.

Seriously, Mateo is a hot guy. And Alpha is damn one helluva sexy werewolf. 

Though Savoie sisters are not a particular fan of werewolves, Evie couldn't resist being near with the artistic Mateo. He asked her to break the curse that making him violent because of Alpha.

The unexpected plot was the one who gave the curse to Mateo. I wasn't able to guess the witch.

I enjoyed reading the first story in the series. Hopefully, I will be given a chance with the rest of the Savoie's stories especially the eldest.

If this is what happens when Ms. Cross tries new genres then I will be making lists of things she can try her hand at after this. Wolf Gone Wild was everything I was hoping for!

Evie was the epitome of nerdish quirkiness and I absolutely loved her. She was funny, sweet and sassy.

Mateo, and Alpha his very present wolf part, are in desperate need of Evie’s help. If Mateo is to remain sane, then he needs to break the spell that is keeping him from being able to shift. Alpha is now constantly talking to him and pushing his need for blood and violence on him, making him literally schizophrenic.

Mateo was charming and sexy, with Alpha pushing the protective and possessiveness of a shifter to a whole new level.  One of my favorite things in this whole story was Alpha’s interventions in conversations. They mostly had me rolling on the floor from laughing (except the haunted house scene… that one is h.o.t. HOT).

I must confess that I was waiting for a little more action as in other books by Ms. Cross, but the nerdy humor made up for it. There’s also a whole lot of new characters to get to know, as in all of Evie’s sisters, and I just can’t wait to get their stories!

I found Wolf Gone Wild incredibly entertaining and fun. With enough suspense to keep you guessing, hot chemistry and some sexiness, I absolutely adored Evie and Mateo’s (and Alpha’s) story.

𝓟𝓵𝓸𝓽: First off can we just talk about how good the story line is?! Basically it’s following Mateo who is a wolf shifter who is currently suffering from a two split personality fighting against the wolf inside him. Mateo is the sweetest *swoon* and so vastly different from his wolf it was honestly pretty funny to see how they interact (yes he talks to his own wolf haha). Mateo meets Evie, a witch who can undo hex spells, and asks her if she is able to disconnect himself from the wolf tearing up inside him.

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼: Besides The storyline just following Evie and Mateo there’s loads of funny characters tossed into the mix! Evie comes from a big family of witches so there was definitely a lot of banter between her and her sisters.
Overall, all the characters had a lot of depth to their personality and I especially connected to Evie who is a wanna be comic illustrator wanting to publish her own graphic novel but too worried that no one would like it. Plus she is a total geek on tv shows, movies and comics which I loved. Since I actually want to publish my own comic one day and I’m a nerd my self it was great to really connect to a character for once 😂
ALSO can we just talk about the fact that both Mateo and Evie are artists! Mateo honestly does it all omg I love him haha 😂😍

You know I’ve been on the hunt for a good paranormal romance.  I’ve been for a while now (years!).  I’m kicking myself for not picking up Juliette Cross before now.  I’ll admit the pretty cover did it for me this time.  So cute I just had to read it.  Plus I love stories set in NOLA and a romance between a witch and a shifter.  WOLF GONE WILD took me by surprise.  It’s a fun paranormal romantic comedy that I just didn’t want to put down.

Mateo is a cursed werewolf.  He hasn’t been able to shift and he can actually hear his wolf talking to him constantly.  The hex put on him is slowly driving him crazy and he decides to seek the best hex breaker in the city to fix him. The Savoie sisters don’t deal with werewolfs but Evie decides to take a chance on helping him.

Let’s be clear about the star of this show.  The conversations between Mateo and his wolf, who goes by the name Alpha, are hysterical and endearing.  I couldn’t get enough of the two of them.  Then there’s the Savoie sisters, who are all pretty great as well.  If you are a fan of Kresley Cole’s humor you’ll definitely appreciate this bunch.

But I can’t sell the romance short.  Evie and Mateo are perfect together.  They have to overcome a little dash of prejudice to be together but they are surprisingly very low key and low angst.  They were just delightful!

Juliette Cross’s writing was excellent as well and she’s done a great job setting up a few romances that I’m dying to get my hands on in this series.  But I’ll also be picking up her backlist soon because I have much to catch up on.

Wildly entertaining and beautifully written. The chemistry in this book was intoxicating and kept me invested in the love story as well as the plot. Really enjoyed the characters.
