Nadia and Grayson are just amazing. I've loved Harlequin Desire books for as long as can remember. Naima has quickly become one of favorite authors in the past two years and I'm glad to have found her books. I'm excited to read more from her.

4.5 stars
Nadia was strong, resilient, honest, feisty...I loved her! She’s the girl you’d want in your corner, knowing she’ll be the first one on your doorstep if you need a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. And I loved that she embraced her curves and didn’t knock herself about her looks! I don’t know why that particular bit stuck with me, but it did and I was all the happier for it!

Grayson was loyal, honorable, and straight forward with everyone except his parents. I felt for the guy. To be in his position equaled being between a rock and a hard place. What I appreciated most about Grayson was his ‘realness’ with Nadia. He didn’t pretend and was genuinely open and interested in her.

Nadia and Grayson had the perfect mix of sizzling attraction, intelligent conversations....just thinking about their really heady chemistry-yay! Simone had me cheering for these two very well-developed characters to overcome a tough, judgmental road and achieve a much deserved HEA.

I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley and this is my honest review.

A heroine who is genuine, passion that radiates through my e-reader click after click, and the flawless writing makes this one-click worthy.

Family history, expectations, obligations and overcoming social blunders. Will this business deal break her heart or result in a forever love that defies everything she's ever imagined?

This story was so enjoyable, and I loved watching two damaged people open up to finding love again. A great way to cap off this awesome series.

Nadia Jordan has had it pretty rough. Growing up in small-town Georgia, the daughter of the town floozy, and an unknown father, everyone looked down on her. Her mother was derelict at best, and constantly forgot Nadia when it suited her. When Nadia's baby brother, Ezra, came along, she gave up her own dreams and ambitions to facilitate his, since she knew her mother wasn't capable of taking care of them. 2 years ago, she and her brother moved to Chicago for her to take a secretarial job at a large corporation. Ever since, she's been on auto-pilot, caring for Ezra, and working, and not really getting close to anyone. Until one night, a blackout at a fancy party changes everything.

Grayson Chandler is the son of Chicago royalty. His family has a thriving corporation and are part of the upper echelon in their society. Grayson broke off to form his own company with his best friend, and it is doing even better than he could've dreamed. But, after the unexpected death of his older brother a few months before, his parents have starting hounding him about leaving his company to come back and helm the family business when his father retires. His mother also has plans to reunite him with his ex-fiancee, which he has ZERO interest in. While attending a gala, he needs a break from all his family's crazy, and hides out in a hallway. He runs into a beautiful woman right before the blackout, and they spend the night together. To say he's shocked to see her at work on Monday is an understatement.

Gray and Nadia later agree to have a fake relationship for 4 months. This would get his mother off his back about his ex, and help Nadia pay for her brother to go to Yale. They had amazing chemistry, but there were so many half-truths and things left unspoken between them. They really didn't want to want each other, so it was hard for them to accept when they started to catch feelings. They each had things in their past that caused them to be cautious with their hearts, and they didn't think they could really trust each other. They were constantly putting on a show for everyone else, not realizing how deep they were falling into each other.

Nadia's brother was a sweetheart, and I enjoyed her relationship with him, and his talks with Gray. Gray's sister was sweet, but his parents were a NIGHTMARE, and his ex was a nasty piece of work. I hated every scene she was in, but I loved how Nadia handled each of their interactions. She was a total boss, and left each time with her head held high. Nadia handled pretty much everything that was thrown her way regarding Gray, except her feelings for him. And in the end, she handled that the best way she could as well. Nadia was an awesome heroine, and I really liked her. Gray, once he got out of his own way, and out from under the unnecessary guilt from his brother's death, was pretty great too.

This story completely worked for me, and I loved watching this couple fall for each other, and then fight for each other. I highly recommend this entire series, and this author in general. I'm never disappointed!

Naima Simone never disappoints. Blame It on the Billionaire was tightly plotted and full of emotion and also really steamy sexy times. I loved literally every page and devoured it in one sitting.

Nadia is such a fascinating character because on the one hand, she is so confident and impressive in the way she sort of goes for what she wants, but at the same time, you can see all the times she has sacrificed what she wants for what's best for her brother. I liked the push-pull of that dynamic. Grayson, too, is a great character with his self-perception and how Nadia sees him (and how we see him as the reader) not quite lining up. Gray seems to think he's quite a bit harder than he really is. More cruel, somehow. But in reality, Gray is just a man who wants to be loved, but has tried to convince himself that he doesn't need it and doesn't want it. Fortunately for us, he falls for Nadia anyway.

The first on page encounter between Gray and Nadia is so sexy and I really loved how that seemed to engender a lot of emotion in Gray the next time he saw Nadia. Naima Simone is brilliant at infusing her scenes with emotion and I think she does it in rather subtle ways. So as we progress through these scenes that read fairly quickly, you can see Nadia forgetting that she said she wouldn't fall for Grayson and Grayson letting Nadia in when he doesn't let his guard down for others.

I just think this was a fantastic example of a fake engagement trope and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to read it!

I was not one of those romance readers who cut their teeth on mom’s secreted Harlequins. In fact they’re a pretty recent discovery for me, but man, do I see why people love them. All the tropes and tricks of romance packed into a delightfully consumable package. In this case, billionaires, instalust, fake engagement, and a “you can’t fall in love with me/I won’t fall in love with you” pact. Oh, sweet innocents!

This book has some wonderfully developed characters, which is hard to do in a slightly shorter format. I really felt for Nadia and the sacrifices she had to make. This is a woman who lives her whole life for other people and she finally decided to give in to some pants feelings and enjoy herself. Of course, there’s no such thing as an anonymous one night stand in a romance so that’s just the MCs’ first encounter. Grayson is a quintessential alpha romance hero—hot, gruff, decisive but with a little core of vulnerable mushiness. The man buys JD Robb books for his employee’s sick husband, for God’s sake. I did get irritated with his inability to stand up to his family, but I chocked it up to Romance Reasons. After all, if he wasn’t trying to shove it to his parents there wouldn’t be a reason for a fake engagement.

I loved Simone’s handling of the fake engagement trope. She uses it to show how aware the MCs are of each other—sexually, yes, but also emotionally. It doesn’t take long for them to get a pretty good grasp on each other’s vulnerabilities and desires even while they’re “faking” a relationship for the world. It’s almost like the layer of performance gives them the chance to sort out what’s real and what’s not with each other. It pays off by the end.

I’ve enjoyed every book in this series. Naima Simone has tackled the Harlequin gig perfectly. They’re fun, sexy, emotionally satisfying reads. I think anyone who is a fan of the genre, the author, and this imprint will enjoy Blame It On The Billionaire.

Blame it on the Billionaire by Naima Simone begins with a chance meeting between Grayson and Nadia during a blackout that goes from strangers to steamy in minutes. Misunderstandings, disapproving parents, past experiences, and a bothersome ex contribute to the drama that keep these characters at odds—despite their explosive chemistry. Readers will enjoy this opposites attract romance that begins with a fake relationship—but turns into so much more.

Fabulous book. A thoroughly enjoyable read. Fate and chance go to work to create a fake engagement that may burn into a flaming inferno. The meet in a hallway and the lights go out! The sexual tension and truth baring could heat a room! Factor in the judgmental mom and the ex fiancé that thinks she is God's gift and you have a fantastic book.

Nadia and Grayson...just perfection! I loved this strong and independent woman who didn't want anything just handed to her, but put her brother above everything else! And Grayson is swoon-worthy, with his loyalty and wanting to do what's right, even when those around him don't seem to care. I can't recommend this book and series enough!

I loved this book! It had a perfect blend of steaminess and emotion. Not only emotion from our heroine, but also our hero. Grayson wasn’t just a take-charge billionaire, he cared about his family. He cared about people, and he had vulnerabilities. He buried them, but they were there, and Nadia made it safe for him to share. Not only share, but for her to show him how she saw him. Nadia also opened up to him, and he saw how beautiful she truly was inside and out. Combine all those emotions, and all the chemistry these two share, along with a boss/employee AND a fake relationship, and I was in romance heaven!

This is part of a series where the power goes out in a blackout occurs and things get shall we say risque. I have only read this book and so it while its part of series, it also is a stand alone story. The 1st part of the story takes place at a work function at Grayson's families mansion. Hi employee is Nadia and she only stops by to drop off something for her boss when the blackout occurs.

Her and Grayon are stuck together and things get shall we say HOT but Nadia lets him believe they are strangers so when they meet at work he is pissed that she lied to him. However he needs her to be his fiancee because his brother has died and his parents want him to take over their company and for him to marry his ex.

This is a relatively short story. Its about 200 pages or less so its a fast and light read. Its filled with hot times and two people getting to know each other while prendning to be engaged.

dang it, I didn't realise this was part of a series when I requested it. I just saw 'Naima Simone' and was like YES PLEASE. I'm assuming you don't *have* to read the first 2, as I didn't and it was fine.

Okay, on to the book. I've read 4 other Naima Simone books and love love loved them. I really liked this one too, though it is a bit different to the others - can't put my finger on why though. It was a quick sexy read, I liked the characters and the story. I really felt for both main characters, totally understood where they were both coming from. The only characters that annoyed me were his parents. Anyway. It was super fun and super hot and Naima is an auto read for me.
