'The World According to Kev 1: Who's the Boss?' by Chico with art by Minte is a series of comic strips about a boy with an attitude and his relationship with his family.

Kev is a misbehaving boy who taunts his sibling, thinks his teacher owes him a favor and has a serious competitive nature when it comes to playing games with his mother. The girl he thinks likes him ends up liking his weird friend Stan, who has a snail collection.

The problem is that this kid is a brat and these comics are just not very funny. It could be that things were lost in translation but I didn't really enjoy reading this one.

The World According to Kev by Chico and Kev is about Kev - an annoying and bratty kid. Nothing new here. Maybe youger kids will enjoy it much better.

Painfully unfunny selection of page-long comic strips about a bratty kid. Nothing to like here whatsoever.

With artwork and characters looking very much like the bumper-crop of kid's animated series you see on TV today (each character having the same - or nearly the same - basic facial/physical make-up, with surface changes like hair and clothing the only thing really separating one character from the next), a lot of kids will relate to Kev as he goes through his day dodging teachers, pining for the girl he likes, avoiding his mom's ever-watchful eye, and trying to be the leader to his group of friends - all in a day's work for this idealistic daydreamer who wishes the world were his. The formatting of this colorful book is kind of cool, each page devoted to another story/glimpse into Kev's life and self-absorbed personality, with some funny moments along the way. Overall, while okay - even good, and a fun read - there's really not a lot to make Kev and his world stand out among similar books and graphic novels featuring rowdy little boys who want to rule their world and bend adults to their will. Still worth a read, with a couple of the scenes actually laugh-out-loud worthy. 3/5 stars

I read The World According To Kev Who's The Boss? which is a Graphic Novel by Minte and Chico. The Novel is broken into shorts surrounding Kev and his escapades and to be honest I didn't like Kev as character I thought he was a bit obnoxious and his brother was no better. The artwork was of a high quality shame about the story it let the side down a bit. It would have been better if there were proper chapters as this would have made the book flow more instead the stories were all over the place. For this reason I have to give book 2 stars.

I would recommend this book.

The World According to Kev by Script by Chico / Art by Minte was very funny and colourful throughout and I enjoyed reading it with my nephew. A sweet comic about a Boy called Kev and he tells the story of the world through his eyes and they way it should look. A young girl called Camille falls in love with him. Kev's live looks perfect on the outside but its nothing bar perfect! He has to compete for attention of his best friend Leo. He has to survive his mothers wrath and he suffers humiliation at the hands of the back-stabbing Stan, With all this going on all Kev wants is a good nights Sleep! Will he get it?

I appreciate having had an opportunity to read and review this book. The appeal of this particular book was not evident to me, and if I cannot file a generally positive review I prefer simply to advise the publisher to that effect and file no review at all.

This is a very fun goofy comic following Kev from day to day getting into a lot of trouble! Kev is a cheeky and hilarious characters which made this a very enjoyable read!
However, I'm giving this three stars because I did start to loose interest and some of the humour was lost on me :,) but I think if I read each section at different times I may have been more engaged.
Overall this is a fun read that I recommend to perhaps a younger audience!

This was a hilarious and fun book about a boy named Kev and his family and his world. I do hope that this one will get an animation series because I think this comic works even better when animated. Though maybe Kev will get a tad too annoying then? Eh, guess it depends on the voice actor.

This comic is all about Kev, Kev is a very imaginative and active boy. He gets in trouble almost always for something or another. Either for fighting with his brother, or doing things wrong in school (and then especially his horrific grades of doom). But I liked him immediately. Sure, at times he got a bit on my nerves but in general I liked how enthusiastic he was and how he never let anything deter him. He just went on no matter what.

His imagination is amazing, he really has a big imagination that he can turn on whenever he wants and lets him imagine all the things.

I also felt sorry for him that his crush didn't see him. It is a bit of a standard trope especially since his crush likes the rich, fancy boy in class (how many times have I seen that happen, oh yes, too many times). But I was definitely having fun seeing him try all sorts of things to get her to notice him.

The art was also amazing. It was like I was reading a tv-series. Does that make sense? Maybe not, but I don't know how to describe it in another way.

The one thing I didn't like? Kev and his brother Noah are CONSTANTLY arguing, pranking each other, fighting and more. I get that they are brothers and that siblings will have arguments and maybe fight, but come on? This was just too much and destroyed the fun of the book for me. I would have loved to see some more brotherly love or at least see that they actually care about each other, because now? I don't see it.

But other than the whole brother trouble stuff I had fun reading this one and I hope for more of this series in the future (and again, maybe a tv-show?).

'The world according to Kev' is a brilliant, short read that follows Kev's life and the many things he gets up to.

I really enjoyed the art style of this comic and I thought Kev was honestly hilarious at times. The script writer and artist, Chico and Minte, did a great job of portraying the story and artwork through Kev's eyes and I was entertained till the last page!

I'm looking forward to reading future volumes in this series and seeing these characters again!✨
Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a short yet fun read!
