Cryptocurrency is a digital currency, like bitcoin.  Crypto means hidden.   Bitcoin uses block chain technology to be created and if you lose it, it is gone forever.  There is a story in this book about someone who buried a hard drive with bitcoin on it - now worth $127 million and it is totally missing.  There are definitely pluses and minuses on using cryptocurrency so it will be interesting to see how things evolve.

As an adult, I have often wondered about cryptocurrency and what exactly that refers to. By reading this book, I learned a lot about the topic. I think that children would be interested in this topic as well. But there is a lot of information on each page which I think would bog down a reader easily. There isn't a ton of graphics and design features that will easily capture the attention of a reader. But there is some great information in this book!

Interesting history and overview of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, detailed in simple and straightforward language and terms.

This book is geared towards younger readers, but I recommend it for people of any age, who want a short rand easy to understand primer on cryptocurrency.
It does not go into great depth. Instead, it gives an overview of the history of cryptocurrency, current uses, future potential, and even highlights some pitfalls and dangers associated with storing, using and securing your cryptocurrency.
This book is well worth the purchase if you are looking for a short and easy to understand explanation, but still gives you enough info to get a complete picture.
