As soon as I saw Brit Bennett’s name I squealed! I loved The Mothers and am so excited to read her upcoming release! I’m also looking forward to The Voting Booth after reading the excerpt here. And, of course, Anne Tyler. I’m so anticipating these upcoming titles!

I love checking these out every year to find new books and authors to add to my tbr but I wish the samples were broken down into separate genres/ages of books instead of all lumped together. Thank you for putting it together.

Buzz Books provides a great glimpse into some of the books being released later this year. It introduced me to some new authors and titles I hadn't previously heard of, there are many I'm excited to read in the coming months.

This year we have 44 soon to be released new books. The categories are fiction, debut, non fiction and Young adults. The excerpts are lengthy enough to get a feeling for the book and allows a good insight into the literary world. I always look forward to the Buzzbook edition and cant read the excerpts fast enough.

Thanks so much for another wonderful sampler of coming attractions! I'm in love with Buzz Books -- they have introduced me to so many amazing authors that I might not have tried otherwise. I'm already looking forward to next season's offerings.

I love Buzz Books! The only problem is that my virtual "To Read"stack gets higher than my head for the upcoming several seasons.

Thank you so much for all the sneak peaks! There looks to be some very interesting books coming out soon, and I cannot wait. While I probably won’t read most of the books sampled, I find this one of the most helpful things I can get each season as a bookseller.

If you’re new to these Buzz Book samplers I highly recommend you give it a try. I discovered them last year and it’s a really fun way to check out new books. I found a couple I loved last year that surprised me by being out of my normal reading genres. I found a couple in this sampler that also seemed promising and immediately went to request them. This sampler will give you a great opportunity to check out different books and see what might appeal to you. We all know some books can sound great but not end up being our style of book so with this sampler you can check out the author’s writing style to see if it’s a good fit. It’s like the book version of a variety of trailers. I did find this sampler to be more political than I’d prefer but it’s super easy to skip through books that don’t appeal to you. On my kindle I can go to the table of contents and easily skip a book so you do not have to page through a book that’s not for you. This is a really great way to check out a variety of authors and styles to see if there’s something that might surprise you.

This was a very informative book and gave me some really good ideas and was easy to go through.
I do feel this book was well written and was good for any one from a beginning reader to an advanced reader and gave an array of suggestions.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is lost as to what to read or find next.

A preview of the best of the new books for the season and it's FREE!

There are so many enticing new books in Spring/Summer edition, I decided to be selective in what I could realistically add to my 'to read' pile. For me, the top of the list is Emily St. John Mandel's (sequel to STATION ELEVEN) THE GLASS HOTEL(Wished). Others I jotted down include Zoje Stage's WONDERLAND; Mary Kay Andrews' HELLO, SUMMER; and Denise Mina's THE LESS DEAD. I've asked to read Gail Godwin's OLD LOVEGOOD GIRLS and decided I was brilliant because I had already requested and received Barbara Delinsky's A WEEK AT THE SHORE.

First introduced for the 2012 Book Expo America, the FREE digital Publishers Lunch Buzz Books has become the place for both industry professionals and book lovers in general to discover and read about the books expected to spark high demand BEFORE they are published!

The Introduction gives a nice overview of the upcoming publishing season broken down by literary fiction, debut fiction, commercial fiction, and followed by non-fiction conversation starters, memoir & biography.

What's really great is that after many selections, you have the option to follow a link and request the complete galley copy from Net Galley if you qualify as a 'professional' reader.

Check out Buzz Books on Amazon. Did I mention it's FREE!

Love this collection of excerpts from upcoming books for the spring/summer to help me shape my TBR and discover new authors. Thank you!

I truly appreciate the selection of novels Buzz Books compiles into this collection. The debut novel selection is especially helpful as most authors are new to me! This gives me a great reader's advisory advantage when we choose and receive new books at our library.
Plus, for a busy reader, having the option to sample dozens of books at once is an excellent opportunity to read books I would not usually have picked for myself.

Loving a lot of these excerpts, so many great released to look forward to and some of the authors that will be new to me. What a year it is going to be for readers!!

Reading through these I found a handful of books I'm interested in I feel I would likely not come across in my normal circles including a book about eels, imagine that. I love knowing what tense a book is written in, too. I feel like a lot of times it really matters so I appreciate being able to read the first chapter and get a feel for a book and whether I'll enjoy the perspective.

Hooray for a new group of Spring releases! I'm most excited for Enter the Aardvark. Political intrigue, secrets and taxidermy, what more could you want!
