Having never read a book by the author before, I thought I would see if they story gripped me as much as the blurb did and I was definitely surprised. While the story does have some romance in it, there are some twists which make it uniquely different. Laurel and Everett are a force to behold, so drawn to each other yet intense and thrilling at the same time. The one thing I did notice was that the book had a lot of real life topics in it. I like a book which people can relate too, it shows not everyone is perfect, they can have issues and flaws and that's ok as well. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would like to see what the author writes next.

This is a very good book. Written from multiple points of view, and going back and forth in different points in time to build the story from past to present and back again as the plot progresses through almost 20 years of time, this is not always an easy read...but it’s worth it. Yes, it’s a romance, but it’s an intense story, dealing with many difficult topics that some readers may find off-putting. It’s got some heavy chapters woven into the light and fun ones, making for a rollercoaster of a read. But it’s worth it. The author does of masterful job of making you fall in love with Laurels and Everett, then get mad at them, then cry for them, and start all over. I’m not sure when the last time was I’ve been through so many deeply felt emotions in one book. A compelling read, with characters that truly grew as the story developed and pieces were revealed. It was a very hard fought HEA, one I really wasn’t sure was going to come, but it did, and all the sweeter for finally getting there. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

I loved the story, but didn't love the book. I thought it had a lot of potential, but I thought the timeline back and forth didn't flow very well. I also thought it was a bit over the top. I also thought there was enough tragedy, let's not add in manufactured angst. But I liked the book and read it all. Confused as to what I thought? Me too..lol

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

Everett grew up in a home where he was made to feel that he was never enough. He came from wealth but wanted only love. Laurel had the perfect family with tons of support. Their story was beautiful and terribly tragic. Every time they seemed to be able to find their happy place, it was taken from them or offered up selflessly to help another. It took them over a decade to find their forever happy ending.

There is a lot going on in this story: drug addiction, sex, betrayal, pain, suffering, depression, lost love, alcohol abuse, sexual abuse and so much more. While I wouldn't describe the book as a clean romance, I felt that the story was worth telling and minimized the language and graphic details.

This book caused me to lose a lot of sleep but was worth the read. It is my first exposure tot his author but I look forward to reading more by her.

A Wrinkle in Forever is a DNF for me. The characters just didn't work for me. As I love ya, I was very disappointed.

Could not put this one down!

I could not put this book down! The story was wonderfully woven between memories and a present-day storyline. The content is more suitable for older readers, as it deals with several complex issues including disability, sexual assault, addiction, and abortion. The romance was sweet and not explicit. I would rate this pg-13 for the content mentioned above and mild language.

I am a sucker for second chance romance books. I had mixed emotions about this book.

Everett and Laurel were high school sweethearts. Everett graduates and is working towards his law degree. Laurel is training for the olympics. Then the night before the wedding an accident happens. It completely changes their lives and their future. Laurel ends things with Everett after realizing she can never give him what she thinks he wants,

The story spans through high school, college, marriage, children and basic adulthood. Then Everett and Laurel find each other back in each other’s lives. They have grown and experienced life but realize that they were both missing each other.

It was a good book, I’m not sure that I agreed with how the story worked out. The characters were well written and I enjoyed them

I usually don't enjoy books that alternate back and forth between time periods, but this story was so good that it didn't really matter.
I loved both Laurel and Rett. I felt happiness for them at times as well as sadness at others. It kept my attention which leads me to highly recommending it.
Thank you Charissa Stastny, Tangled Willow Press and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

I was less than thrilled with this book. I didn’t like the writing at all. Had the writing been good it had a good plot concept. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

I really wanted to enjoy this book because iLove books that have 2nd Chance romances plus they were high school sweethearts! I just really didn’t enjoy the writing style of the book and I found the plot to be a little over the top. Then they also brought in some plot conveniences that were just not fair to the characters at all.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me a copy for an honest review.

This book took me on one emotional roller coaster ride with the well written storyline and well rounded characters! As I turned each and every page I felt like Everett and Laurel pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!

She's on her way to becoming an Olympian, he's on his way to being an attorney and they are on their way to a happily ever after together when tradgedy strikes and it all falls apart. This is definitely not a traditional love story, but a very compelling story that keeps you involved through every page of the book. This is a very interesting and entertaining book. The style of writing was unique and really draws you in. While following the path through the current time events, you flash back to events in the past that have lead up to the current day. While this can sometimes throw the rhythm of a book off, in this case it sets the cadence perfectly. The storyline is quite compelling and really draws you in while you fall in sync with the characters. The characters are very well written with personality traits that are well developed. I've not read anything by this author previously, but must say that I am now very interested to see what else they have written!

Rett and Laurel are high school sweethearts. They seemed to have everything going for them. After high school, Rett went on to play basketball at Gonzaga, and Laurel was a member of the U.S. women’s soccer team preparing for the Olympics. ‘Then, the night before their wedding, they were hit head on by a logging truck. Both
Rett and Laurel were injured, but Laurel was believed to be paralyzed and also had a hysterectomy after the accident.

Laurel broke up with Rett after coming to the conclusion that she could never give him the life he deserved. The break-up drove Rett into a downward spiral that let to years of unhappiness. After years apart, they are reunited, but Rett’s commitment to another woman appears to prevent their happily ever after.

Not only is Rett and Laurel’s story tragic and heartbreaking, but the life that Rett’s wife has led is equally, if not more, tragic. Be prepared to weep at times, but also rejoice as Rett and Laurel eventually overcome the tragedies and obstacles in their lives.

Oh my did I want to love this book! The concept was fantastic. But once I got past the first chapter, it all went down hill. Starting with the god awful slang. I was young then and couldn't even comprehend what the heck they were saying.

I like how it kept going from present to past.there was a lot of interesting twists I felt sorry for Gianna but adored Laurel and Everett.both Gianna and Everett's father tryed to make them something they are not. Laurels family was very laid back with nature names.

This book was received as an ARC from Tangled Willow Press in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was reluctant to read this book at first because it was a romance novel and most of the romance novels I read are very predictable. This book however, was not in the slightest bit predictable which made me love it even more. Laurel and Everett have known one another but only know what they see or hear about eachother and Laurel is this shy naive uptown girl and Everett is the confident, slightly arrogant jock. Their love story began to grow and grow but when it came time for their wedding, a tragedy strikes and Laurel is not able to give Everett the love he wants and deserves leaving them apart. Years later, they meet again and this time, Everett has not lost feelings for Laurel but their is a forbidden force that is keeping them apart even though they are still destined to be together, they always end up being apart. I never read a romance novel so intense like this and I did read The Jane Eyre novel as well and remembered a lot of the same struggles and battles throughout the book. I know out readers will love this and will never stop reading it.

We will consider adding this title to our Romance collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Honestly I couldn't finish this book, made it 75% in and threw in the towel.
The dialog, especially when "Ever" and "Laurel-leaf" were teenagers was horrible! No one talks like that. It was very juvenile, and written in a way where I had no emotional connection to any of the characters and couldn't care less what the outcome was. I ended up reading a review that told me how it ended and am glad I didnt waste my time.

Very few books capture my attention to the point where I cannot focus on anything else. But A Wrinkle in Forever is one of those books. Charissa Statsny wrote a beautiful novel that wove many heavy subjects with romance, humor and a happy ending. This masterpiece grabbed my attention and didn’t let it go until the last page! I highly recommend A Wrinkle in Forever.

I have been loving this Love Under Wraps series. The first two books were SO good. I struggled with this one though and I really hate to say that. I'm going to go with the good and the not so good for me. This book is written in alternating perspectives and jumps back and forth through time. Just make sure to pay attention to the dates to keep everything straight! Oh, and this book is Looooooong. Over 350 pages.

The good: I feel like I really knew the characters- their motivations, their struggles, their strengths and weaknesses. I was definitely sucked into the drama of the story and it was hard to disengage myself- especially in the first half. I could picture the scenes in this book and felt like I was there with the characters.

The bad: There was so much drama in this book. So many depressing, hard and dramatic things happening. All the time. All the way through. Just when you think there might be a speck of hope, nope. Nada. I had a hard time being in the throes of depression and hard things for the majority of the book. As a reader, I really need to feel that hope and that light. This book swirls in darkness most of the time. It was depressing and I didn't like it.

I think the author threw in every single horrible thing she could think of into this book. I was listing them all to my daughter and it almost got ridiculous saying them all out loud. I won't list them all here because if you want to read this book, I don't want to give anything away but please be advised that I will be listing many things in my content head's up so read it or don't as you will. I don't mind hard issues for characters in the books I read. I love depth and growth but I really need a balance so the darkness doesn't become overwhelming.

The next thing I was surprised with was the swearing and sexual references in this book. I wouldn't label it clean and I thought this was a clean romance series. Also, there are a lot of potential triggers for people in this book so be aware.

I'm sorry to say I didn't enjoy this book. I really am. Every book is different for every reader and this one just wasn't for me.

Content: swearing, sexual references (groping), innuendo, crass thoughts and words, drinking to excess, teenage partying and drinking, references to casual sex, drug abuse and addiction, suicide, overdose, rape, molestation, depression, marital affairs, child neglect.
