If your looking for light, fun, and a series # Faerie Forged is perfect. Author # L. R. Branden has written a series and this is book 3. I read it as a stand alone, this was no problem. If I didn't have so many reviews I would be backtracking.

Description:
Due at the fae Court of Enchantment in twenty-four hours, Alex is way behind. Several of her werewolf friends have been captured by the Paranatural Task force. One mistake at court can change everything...

Thank you for the advance copy,

This is a joint review for books 3, 4 and 5 in this series since I had the same response to all three. I read book 1, Drop of Magic, and thought it was ok. I did not read book 2, Courting Darkness. Netgalley gave me copies of 3 (Faerie Forged), 4 (Casting Shadows) and 5 (Of Mettle and Magic) in exchange for my honest review. I read all three in the course of two days.

I'm giving these three all a like rating because I enjoyed them. However, it is not at the top of the list of UF series I'd recommend.

The stories kept me reading, perhaps helped in part that the storylines don't really stand alone, it's one long saga so when a book ends, you are left wanting to see what happens. Not a true cliffhanger, but there's no overall resolution. I also really enjoy UF because of the strong secondary character development that usual takes place since there's usually time to have lots of character development with 3 or more books. There is some, but not enough and characters just seem to disappear. Sometimes that's due to the storyline taking Alex elsewhere, but a smoother transition would be nice.

Each book had some slow spots, but Casting Shadows and Of Mettle and Magic kicked up the action.

The author's latest release, Demon Riding Shotgun, let's one of the most recent secondary characters take a front seat. I just hope this doesn't mean we won't get another book wrapping up Alex's situation.

This series for me just keeps getting better and better. Great characters. Love Alex Blackwood the main character! Thanks #netgalley and #BelleBooksInc and #BellBridgeBooks for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

i really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were great and I really liked the world. I actually really didn't read the rest of the series.

After I read book 1 and started book 2 I asked for a sample copy of book 3 and 4. Unfortunately, book 2 developed into a rather YA book with a heroine full of emotionality which is quite annoying. She does not act like an adult. The promise of book 1 was not fulfilled for me. But I think people who like Warrior Nun or Cursed on Netflix like this series. Book 3 gets 2* for her not taking adult action to solve difficult situation.

The writing is good and I would read something different from the author. She can tell a story but this one is not for me.

This part was so awesome. I loved exploring Enchantment and getting a better handle on the different kinds of fae. Bael is my newest fascination, this series has given me so many, but I simply adored him. He's got a really dark side that draws me. I love the fae nature on the whole. The colorful world comes to life with wonderful details regarding locations, foods, and the types of fae are brilliantly depicted. I sure hope we go back to Enchantment for more in other parts.

Kai.... my feels and my heart. I love him so much.

I missed Chase and James, as they didn't have big parts in this book, but there was really so much going on that I was utterly satisfied, I'm just greedy for more.

After the return from Enchantment, things really got intense. Oh, and there is some enmotioal stuff as well that had me wanting to hug Alex. I can't believe all she has been through and the hits just keep coming.

I strongly recommend this series. I'm hooked, heading into the next part and hoping that more are in the pipes. I love every second I spend in this world.

Great world building, a lot of details put into the political climate. The characters develop logically and consistently.

This series just gets better and I absolutely love it! The action and world-building are exciting and keep you engaged from the very beginning. Each installment builds on the last and the character growth is well done. The world building is very interesting and I love every bit of it. Alex is growing into herself and I feel we have only just seen the beginning of what she us capable of!!! Can't wait for the next book!

I received this book from NetGalley and Bellbrook, inc. for an honest review.

Alex and her friends are back in book 3 of the Magicsmith series. She is scheduled to appear before the fae court but several of her vampire friends have been captured by the Paranormal Task Force and they're in danger. The action is fast and the characters all perform their roles. The story is well written and I look forward to more. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

FAERIE FORGED by L.R. Braden is the third book in The Magicsmith supernatural suspense / urban fantasy series. The female protagonist, Alex Blackwood is a metalsmith creating works of art in Colorado after a fragile peace between the Fae and humans. She’s due at the fae court tomorrow and is not ready. Her mundane life is falling apart with werewolf friends being captured by the Paranatural Task Force, a new vampire master in town, and her job at the bookstore is on rocky ground. Has she prepped enough to make it through the Winter Festival at the fae Court of Enchantment?

Alex is a likeable main character who is loyal to her friends and is definitely someone you want to succeed. Her goals were clear and her motivations were believable. She showed more growth in this novel. The main secondary characters are getting more developed as well. They enhanced the story and added to the story rather than detracting from it. The prose was well-written, engaging, and entertaining. The plot was engrossing, fascinating and action-filled. The world-building was good. This book was a little different in that the majority of it takes place in the fae world and did not have a lot of action in the first half. Despite this, it kept me thoroughly engaged. However, there are still a lot of open threads that aren’t resolved that can be explored in the next book. Additionally, this book is somewhat darker than the previous two and the plot was more complex.

Overall, the book was suspenseful, entertaining and fast-paced. I am looking forward to reading more in this fantasy series. If you enjoy supernatural suspense, then this book is one you may enjoy as much as I did. This series is best if it is read in order.

Many thanks to Belle Books, Inc. and L.R. Braden for a complimentary digital ARC of this novel via NetGalley and the opportunity to provide an honest review. Opinions are mine alone and are not biased in any way.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher Bell Bridge Books.

I have enjoyed every book in this series, this one included. I would strongly suggest however, that you read the first two titles prior to this one.

In this book Alex finally visits the fae realm of Enchantment, at her ‘Grandfather’s’ behest; even though she is abysmally lacking in the requisite courtesy and protocol skills to successfully negotiate the court. While there, the expected attempt on Alex occurs, and although she survives with the assistance of her friend Kai, the outcome is still painful and costly.

On her return to the human world, Alex is forced to reconsider her decision not to tell her human friends about her fae heritage; particularly when one is endangered by her silence. The action proceeds thick and fast and results in not only a showdown between Alex and O’Connell but a dreadful loss.

The book concludes with Alex updating her shape shifting, ‘protector’ Chase about what has occurred... and leaves us, the readers breathlessly awaiting the next title in the series.

I have loved reading this series. The stories are exciting and the action is great. This one did not disappoint. I wish their was a little more romance but I am a sucker for romance and for me it gives any book a boost. But this book was still great. The writing is fun and the books are quick easy and exciting reads.

L.R. Braden brings us back to her Magicsmith series with the third book in a paranormal series- it follows fae halfer Alex into the Court of Enchantment. As with the first two novels in this series, I read Faerie Forged in 4 hours. L.R. Brade has been able to balance plot development, character development, and a fast-paced writing style into unputdownable books. While I absolutely enjoyed both of the first two books, I have to say that Faerie Forged is my favorite so far. I loved the change of setting to the court, with all of the accompanying rules of engagement of the fae folk. I loved being able to see more of Chase and Malakai. Some of the main characters from the first two books did take a back seat in this book, but I wasn't upset about it. A great fantasy, with a very well developed narrative. I enjoyed this and didn't want it to end. I loved the romantic theme and would recommend this book to anyone.

This is the third book in this fantasy series and whilst it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the first two books .

Fae halfer Alex has to enter the Court of Enchantment within 24 hours , to meet her fae grandfather and enter the fae world...… but Alex is too fae for the human world and too human for the fae world.
She is not ready for the changes to come and along with her job hanging in the balance there is a new Master Vampire in town .
With several of her werewolf friends captured by the Paranatural Task Force she is running out of time to get them released before the new full moon reveals their secret .
But the Lord of Enchantment is not someone you keep waiting—even when he happens to be your
grandfather .
All she can do is try and survive the plots and intrigues of the Fae Court , stay alive and get back in time to salvage her life and rescue her friends ...….. but even that could be in doubt as the Purity Part seek to repress all magical beings .

This is a wonderful fantasy adventure with great worldbuilding and entertaining characters - I will certainly be looking for the first 2 books to catch the backstory and look forward to more in the future .

I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the Publisher in exchange for an honest review

I really liked this book. It went into some backstory and set the stage for some more action in the next book. Alex is a strong character with some serious snark. I love snark. I like series that are not action packed every book. There has to be some character development and personal growth. When is the next book??

Alex has more than enough on her plate. She just lost her job. Alex hasn't spoken to her best friend to make things right between them. Thanks to her, several of her friends' lives are in danger. To top it all off, Alex is due to arrive in the fae Court of Enchantment, which she is absolutely dreading.

Alex asks her uncle Sol for help and hopes she can repair everything else when she gets back. From the minute Alex arrives at Court, she has to be on her best guard. Unfortunately, a blunder lands her companion and friend, Kai, in prison. How will she ever survive her grandfather's machinations without him?

I am booked on author L.R. Braden's MAGICSMITH series. It currently consists of three novels, A DROP OF MAGIC, COURTING DARKNESS, and FAERIE FORGED. The latest is my favorite to date. Don't get me wrong, each book is amazing in it's own right, but I felt Alex had the most growth in FAERIE FORGED. She learns to trust and rely on herself... to accept who she actually is. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

This is the third book in a paranormal series- it follows fae halfer Alex into the Court of Enchantment. Alex is about to meet her fae grandfather and enter the fae world. Alex is too fae for the human world and too human for the fae world. Mistakes are made and friendships are sacrificed. Alex has to make the inevitable decision follow each world's rules, but at what cost? I would rate this a four out of five. This is an adult and teen friendly series. It was really well written and I had alot of fun learning about both worlds and following Alex. I would rate this a five out of five! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. #NetGalley
