This book has been on my radar and on my TBR for years.  When I heard this was being made into a Netflix series I knew I had to push it up my list.  And got the perfect opportunity when I saw it recommended by Forever Romance on our Romanceopoly recs pages. This is part contemporary romance part memoir.  The combination of that was so interesting!  It’s also about a struggling marriage that doesn’t have the spark anymore and the heroine stumbles across a way to spice things up.  Writing in her journal about previous affairs and leaving it for her husband to find.

I think this book is great at setting up a story where you want to know more about all the characters involved.  As we go along the “author’s” journal and meet the 4 men in her life, I always had that feeling of needing to dive a little deeper.  Probably one of the things that didn’t get me to connect with this installment as much.  But I think it’s a great way to setup the series and a book for each one of them.  It’s also done a great job at discussing a marriage that hit a wall and needs something to get that excitement back.  I did really like Ken (the husband) and I’m most anxious to read his book (SUIT).

The thing that I enjoyed the most about this story is the humor.  44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN is just pure FUN!  Lots of personality, this was a hilarious ride without being over the top.  Just the right amount that works for me.

Like I said, this has setup the series nicely and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more.

After discussing with some friends and learning about problematic content, this book isn’t for me. I won’t be reading/reviewing. Thank you for the opportunity and I’m sorry I didn’t know when I requested.

I downloaded this book because Colleen Hoover told me to. And Colleen Hoover knows good books, so I was not let down. It was hilarious and addictive. I can't wait for this to be made into a netflix series.

This book. Where do I even begin? 

This memoir is both refreshing and laugh out loud good. 44 Chapters About 4 Men is not what I expected the first time I read it, something that absolutely delighted me. Not only is Easton's writing amazing, the voice with which she told this story is incredible. All the shenanigans make for a unique, romantic story that will leave you breathless from laughing and content with overwhelming emotion. Husbot and BB are both everything you don't expect and THAT makes this story so amazing. It's a funny book filled with ups and downs, gumption, and sexy tomfoolery. Wrap all that together in one well paced and fantastically written story, and you've got yourself a winner. It's brilliant.

This is the kind of book you want to relax in a bubble bath with while drinking your favorite wine!

I found this book to be absolutely HILARIOUS. 

It’s a memoir of one woman's secret journal entries about her past bad-to-the-bone boyfriends. Writing about her wreckless youth (and sex-capades)  she realizes her husband stumbles upon the first few journal entries when he starts acting out the scenes. 

Being the psychologist that she is, she comes up with the ultimate behavior modification technique: Write out her desires and wishes into journal scenarios disguised as ex-boyfriends. 

I am not a fan of Memoirs at all but this book reads almost like a Romance novel. It’s that good. Not to mention BB Easton’s sense of humor is rolling-on-the-floor, laugh-out-loud funny! 

This is probably the best discovery ever and I am so thankful for the free copy from @foreverpub!

I had no clue what to expect from this book! I mean the amazing title was super fun but what’s on the pages within this book floored me. BB Easton is bluntly honest in giving 44 chapters about 4 men!!! Wow!

A romance memoir.... what? This book was so blatantly honest and refreshing! I honestly had no idea What to expect and was pleasantly surprised. BB Easton is quite the author and I will definitely be looking for more. This author is sexy and savvy!

I had no idea what to expect when I picked up this book. I chose it for the title alone, and then I was even more intrigued when I saw it was going to made into a Netflix series.I knew I was going to dive into this book uninhibited, but I had no idea I was going to stay up until 3 AM reading this book because I became so invested. This is probably one of the best memoirs I have ever read, which is strange because it is the opposite of the majority of the ones I read.

There is just something so addictive about a memoir where someone shares their sexual history and gives a glimpse into what their life is like. It is like a voyeuristic thrill I could not get enough of.

BB Easton has lived an interesting life. This memoir is a collection of her journal reminiscing about her boyfriends before she met and married her husband. I did not expect for the memoir to be so detailed, but she does not hold anything back. It also turns out she wrote fiction about each one of her ex boyfriends, and I was like, wow those are books I will be picking up sometime soon to compare with what I read in this book.

BB Easton talks about her 4 partners in life. 3 ex boyfriends and her husband. She writes the truth about her past, but she also embellishes because she wants her husband to be more attentive with her in certain ways.

Knight was her first boyfriend, and it became this very intense relationship. She holds nothing back as she talks about the sex they had, but she also touches on how tumultuous the relationship was. Knight was the scary first boyfriend who doesn’t know how to let go,, but when her husband reads her journal, it helps improve their sex life. I was a little bothered by her husband invading her privacy, but it seemed to make their life better so I think all things work differently for each person.

The other two boyfriends were Harley and Hans. Harley had gross teeth and weird tattoos. Hans was a musician. She also talks about sex with them, but I was not super interested in these stories. 

Talking about her husband and modern life was what appealed most to me regarding this book. BB works as a school psychologist, her husband is an accountant, and they have two kids. I loved the domestic aspect of her life because she is honest in all things. She talks about her relationship not being perfect. But she loves her husband. She talks about how hard it is to have kids, but how they are amazing as well. Yes, this is a story about how she wants to make her husband different to make herself happy. But their relationship grows, and it is apparent they love each other deeply. Despite all of the TMI aspects of this book, I would definitely recommend it.

This book is funny, interesting, and insightful. It reminded me of being young and made me thankful for the person I became. I look forward to the series on Netflix to make a full comparison.

BB Easton is suffering from a stagnant sex life... among other disconcerting aspects of her marriage. This book is fresh, fun and utterly hilarious. I mean... is guffaw a word people still use? Because I think I actually achieved a few guffaw-levels of laughs while reading this book. I love everything that BB writes, but knowing that this is the book that started it all makes it extra special. She likens it's style and flow as a "frankenbook", but this story is anything but honest and soul baring perfection. Oh, and it also happens to be sexy AF. Following BB's completely true, or sometimes dreamed up, sexcapades results in one delightful and scorching hot sex scene after another.

44 Chapters in written as a journal. A journal that B.B. keeps–and hides–from her husband. BUT, her husband soon finds it and from there–B.B. uses it to manipulate sway her husband into doing things that she’s wanted for years! Heralded as a semi-biographical look at actual events, this whole story from start to finish was wickedly entertaining!

 
Characters

B.B., herself, took front-and-center and I couldn’t get enough! She’s hysterically charming and extremely self-aware. All the men in her life weren’t actually very fleshed out–other than some anecdotes (and only half of those were truth!) to bring her husband along, we didn’t get to know them much . But, they served as very entertaining plot devices.
Writing

B.B.’s writing is relatable and therefore, even when you question some of her moral decisions–you’re not really questioning her moral decisions! She’s witty and so creative! I got to see a side of her that I don’t think we got in the Rain trilogy.
Pacing

The pacing is fabulous! It tells you right in the title how many chapters this book will be… And each one delivers a fabulous piece of B.B.

Thank you for the chance to read and review 44 Chapters about 4 Men. I had heard great things about this one and it lived up to the expectations.  It was an interesting read and one that I will definitely probably reread plenty of times in the future. I would highly recommend this one to all of the romance lovers out there.

This book is hilarious, dirty, fun to read especially during these times. Be ready to be taken away into a crazy world that will have you smiling and saying OMG too many times that you will lose count. I just loved that this book made me smile and laugh a lot.

Great Book!

This story was so much fun. I laughed throughout the entire read and continued smiling even after I finished. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book and I was really surprised by the emotion and heart brought out. This story is not like anything I have read prior in this genre and I really enjoyed every minute of reading it. It definitely has me intrigued to read the other stories.

I was hooked from the very beginning! I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this but boy was I surprised! Get your copy now, you won't regret it!

I don’t know why it took me so long to read this book! I was hooked from the very beginning! I didn’t want to put it down. This was a rollercoaster of a ride...in a good way. I found myself laughing, shocked and agreeing with so many parts! I even learned a few things! I would most definitely be recommending this book to others.

BB Easton is just a genius! I luv this book!!  It's sexy and funny and different than anything I've ever read. I loved reading 44 Chapters about 4 Men and absolutely cannot wait for the Netflix series- so excited!!!

Pros:  Decent story, funny, raunchy, and honestly, quite clever at times.

Cons:  I couldn't connect to the main character, and for those that are not into books that are border-line smut, this one will not be for you...as it wasn't for me really either.

Overall:  I liked the story, but I could care less about all the sex.

This was a fun read, a little crazy at times, but fun and endearing all at the same time.

I gotta say, BB’s way of getting her husbot’s attention (after realizing she actually had it) was a lot of fun to witness, and read. But what I truly liked was how said husbot picked up the gauntlet without doing a major overhaul of himself, he simply tweaked things a bit.

I know this book has been out for a while and one I’ve wanted to read, but just never seemed to have the time until now, and I really enjoyed it. But then again it is right up my alley when it comes to my fascination with how people will react to things that are thrown in their path and what they choose to do with them. As this is a prequel of sorts, I will definitely be checking out the rest of the books in the series so I can dig deeper into many of the characters we met here.

This is one of those books that I enjoyed quite a bit, but it may not be for everyone. It's less story and more memoir/journal, so if that's not your thing, this likely isn't for you. As the title says, it's 44 chapters about 4 men and it tells the tale of what happens when the authors marriage ends up getting a little, let's say, stale in the bedroom.

BB Easton takes us through the relationships she has had with the four men in her life starting back in high school because there are certain things she would love out of the relationship she has with her husband, Ken. She loves her husband and has two adorable kids with him and they are really happy, but there are just things she wishes her husband, or husbot, as she calls him, would do.

She writes a journal and when Ken ends up reading the entries in the journal, things begin to take a turn and they get a whole lot hotter. When she begins to embellish what happened in her past relationships in order to help her cause along, not only does Ken take the bait, but reading the entries is enjoyable and almost like she's talking to a friend, which makes them hilarious. Her strait-laced, accountant husband begins to take a more active role in their love life, which thrills BB.

This book is so well written and is very entertaining. I enjoyed the stories and shenanigans that she got into with her previous boyfriends and how her life with Ken evolved. Easton's way of writing is wonderful and as I mentioned, it almost felt like she was talking to a friend, which made this a very fun to read. I look forward to reading more works by her in the future!

BB Easton is a genius! She had me laughing the whole time and got her man to up his game in the bedroom. I am totally impressed.

Although this is my first time reading BB Easton, I felt like she was one of my best friends because it read like a conversation. I think so many people have felt the lack of passion in their relationship and BB used humor to help herself through it. She is a school psychologist and she is writing about sex. Definitely didn't expect that one, but Julie Chen taught me to always expect the unexpected. 😂

The book starts off with BB telling readers how disappointed she is in her husband. When they do have sex, he acts like he is bored and forced to partake in a passionate moment with his wife. This leads BB to write journal entries about her exes on her computer. When her husband Ken starts to read them, she sees a difference in him. He is starting to put more effort in their relationship, especially in the bedroom. 

What happens when your partner starts to read your journal takes notes and then applies it to improve your sex life, you write more journal entries hoping he continues to follow what he reads. This is exactly what she does. There are a few hits and misses but we can't all be perfect. lol.

I really enjoyed the humor, sass, and all the sexy moments. Ken gets a round of applause for how much he stepped up. 👏🏽👏🏽 BB is a relationship whisperer and she too deserves a round of applause. 👏🏽👏🏽

I give 44 Chapters About 4 Men 5 stars. Her writing is so fun and fresh and readers will love it. I heard that this is being adapted into a Netflix series and I am so excited about it!! I have found a new favorite author and I am looking forward to reading more of her books!!
