What a tease! I found Abby Jimenez via social media and she made me laugh, so I read The Friend Zone. I loved it! Couldn’t get enough! Now the sequel is coming out this year and excitement is an understatement. Reading the first few chapters has me so excited to see where Sloan and Jason may go. I can’t wait!

It has happened again. Abby Jimenez already made me fall in love with another one of her stories and I just read an extended preview!!

The Happy Ever After Playlist is so romantic and unexpected. Sloan is still dealing with the loss of her fiance. Although it has been 2 years since his passing, she is still broken. Jason is a popular musician who is traveling and making the most of his career.

When Jason's adorable dog Tucker finds his way into Sloan's life she becomes attached. Jason and Sloan begin communicating through texts and phone calls. It started out like concerned dog parents and then things got even flirtier.

I am so excited to finish reading this amazing story.

I give this extended preview of The Happy Ever After Playlist 5 stars. Abby Jimenez grips your attention in the first few pages and knows how to make you experience all the feels!

Side note: I am already loving the songs so far. Listening to Paramore's 'In the Mourning' gutted me and listening to 'Ocean Eyes' by Billie Eilish is an experience in itself!

If you want to know what it’s like to have a little taste of something sweet and then have it taken abruptly taken away for to you only have to wait a couple more months before you have it again, read this preview. This was everything. It make me extremely happy and emotional all within a couple of chapters. And now I want to kick a puppy (just kidding, I would never do such a horrible thing. Let me change that to cat)... a cat because now I want the rest. The writing is amazing and I know the story will totally live up to the idea in my head. I can’t wait to get to know the characters and see how everything plays out. I cannot wait to dive more into this when it comes out in April. Why can’t it be April already?! I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book and was excited to have the opportunity to read the first 6 chapters. This is the sequal to the Friend Zone and the second book from my new favorite author Abby Jimenez. This woman has the rare ability to write everyone's story into her book. If you read her books you will instantly feel that the characters are you or that your own story is intertwined. You will see yourself having the same conversations with your best friend or feeling the same insecurities or guilt that Sloan or Kristen are going through. Abby's books will be the kind that you will need to own a digital copy, hard copy and as an audio book because reading just once is never enough. It's like that classic favorite movie that regardless of how many times you've seen it, you'll watch it again and somehow you find something new to appreciate or identify with each time. This preview picks up about a year after the Friend Zone. Two years after the accident and I soak up every word like I finally get to talk to my best friends again. Each chapter starts with a song from the playlist. I listen to it first and then read the chapter. Sometimes I have the song playing quietly in the background while I read, because, why not. This book has all the warm and fuzzies of a hallmark movie, but I know based upon the previous book, TFZ, it's more suited for HBO. Abby doesn't shy away from real and uncomfortable conversations or situations that people really go through. The Friend Zone was the first book I became obsessed with in a long long time. I laughed out loud, ugly cried a few times, and hugged the book, wishing we had more pages or for support or just because of all the feels. I know I'm not the only one that's done that. I know Happy Ever after playlist will bring about these same feelings. I'm prepared this time.

Did I just spend an hour re-reading this? Yes, yes I did. It was just as good the second time around and I can't wait to have my own copy in my hands. Abby's writing is full of so much emotion and I am so excited for Sloan and Jason's (and Tucker's!) story to be released.

Very good slow build introduction to the couple in this book.
Can't wait to read the whole book and be amazed by this love story.
Jason comes off as a hood balancing hero to Sloan and what she's going through 2 years later after losing her fiancé.
Can't wait and pre-ordered already; highly recommend.

I couldn't wait to read this preview but now I wish I hadn't since I have to wait for the rest of this story! I was heartbroken when Brandon died in book 1 so I have been not so patiently waiting for book 2. I will continue waiting but I already love this set up and the interactions between Sloan and Jason! Reading this preview was a huge mistake for me since April is way too far away.

This preview already has me hooked and I am excited to read the rest. The chemistry between the two main characters in this is just as good as it was in the first book in the series.

There’s nothing I love more then a rom com starring a dog:) The quick sample I read made me smile and look forward to reading the rest. I can’t wait to see how the characters end up together and who gets the dog.

I’ve only read 6 chapters but Abby has done it again!!! I was hesitant about this book because I loved Kristen and Josh’s story so much and I wasn’t sure I could focus on Sloan. But boy, was I wrong. I was instantly hooked, just as I was to The Friend Zone. I found myself stupidly smiling because of Jason and Sloan’s flirty banter. Really can’t wait to read the rest.

When I saw this excerpt I downloaded it right away and started reading it at once! This is one of my most anticipated books for the whole year, since The Friend Zone was on my top-ten list for last year.
Now, when I have read the excerpt I'm convinced this novel is as good as The Friend Zone! I devoured these first chapters and I wanted to continue!!! So well done Abby Jimenez 💕

Oh my word!!! I don’t even know how to start this mini review of just those chapters. I honestly can NOT wait to reread the whole book. I love how Abby brings you into the characters and you see yourself being their friend. You truly see talent in every word wrote and Abby’s humor and life in little ways. Can April please be here sooner!? I laughed out loud at parts and just couldn’t wait to see how things played out. Oh my emotions.

How many chapters does it take to fall in love with a character? Apparently for me it takes 3 and that is only because Jason is not in the first 2. I can already tell that I am going to devour this book and love every second of it. Sloan deserves her happy ending and the fact that her new found happiness begins with a dog makes me love this book that much more. I cannot wait for it to be released.

This preview was everything my heart needed after being destroyed by the events that take place in The Friend Zone. Sloan is one of the best characters to come out of a book, and I'm so happy to see that she will finally get a happy ever after after going through so much in TFZ. The beginning of this book has one of the best meet cute moments between two characters. Highly recommend reading or rereading The Friend Zone to get ready for Happy Ever After Playlist to release in a couple months!

Right away, Abby had me laughing and crying! She is such a talented writer and one of the few that can make you feel how the characters are feeling! I can't wait to read the rest!
