This the second book in a series, but can be read as a stand alone. The characters are memorable and storyline brings you in from the beginning.

Sofia Di Caro is used to her Don Father controlling her life, but things have gone from bad to worse, no phone, no car and under watchful eyes at all times except when she sneaks away in the dead of night to meet Matteo Parisi. Their attraction is off the charts and Matt has to use all his self-control to resist Sofia as he knows there is no future for them however much he wants one. Sofia decides she has to keep in touch with him despite his promise to her Father to back off. She decides the anonymity of the Letter Club is the way to do it. Passionate slow burner continuing the story of the Di Caro family. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I understand the concept of young love. After all, I met my husband at 15 and married him at 19. But the story just didn't do it for me. I couldn't get into it. Sophia and Matteo are perfectly likable characters but the story was just ok for me.
Thank you Elle Wright and Netgalley for an advance copy for my honest feedback.

The plot seemed so promising but the book just felt short for me. The characters were hard to like and the circumstances seemed a little far fetched. It was just okay but if you like mafia romance, i don't think this book is it.

A mob princess falls in love at 17 yrs old with an older (22) man after her ex crazy boyfriend tried to kill her. After just a few hours, after she snuck out at night, they fall madly in love. It's a bit unrealistic. She apparently has had experience dating (for a year and a virgin) to know that this guy is right for her. No real relationship building, it supposedly happens with secret letters to each other.

This is the second book in the letter club series. Although the stories are linked by the use of the anonymous letter writing club, the characters, so far at least, have been part of the same family. There was slightly less old fashioned letter writing in this book, but that didn't really matter as the story was good and as much as I like the idea of people sending post to one another all in the name of romance, this was still a great story.
We met Sophia in Nothing Else But You, as she is the younger sister of the hero of that book Gio. Gio and Nat (the couple from book one) appear in this book, but I'm sure that it would still work fine as a stand-alone.
Matteo is a very sweet character and it's not hard to see why Sophia falls for him so completely. I don't always like seeing characters that are so young deciding that they are ready to completely settle down, but they worked so well as a couple that it didn't really matter.
This was a really enjoyable romance and I'm looking forward to more in the series hopefully. I don't know if we will get to hear about Amy's love life (Sophia's best friend) or perhaps her rather full-on sister Ro. Either way, I'll certainly be looking to read more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
