The Kiss List is a sweet enemy to lover story. The characters are charming in their own way and relatable. Being in close proximity forced them both to have a better understanding of the other. Over the years, they both had built a false image of the other and it was nice to see how it slowly progresses to love.

The book only lost a star to me because Haley did annoy me a few times, but overall, it was such a fast and fun story. I truly enjoyed the relationship between her and Max. It made for a few laughs as well. This book is perfect for the season.

It felt a lot random. Anything and everything was happening. There was no background to help me understand what was going on in the story. The writing style was great though. It kept my hold in. The story could have been better executed though.

The Kiss List is the first book in the Love List series and was a charming book of childhood nemesis to adult love. It was fast-paced, easy to read, and had charming characters. Their witty comments and the sparks between them kept the reader’s attention throughout the book.
Haley Bowman and Max Gallagher had been nemeses since they met in grade school. They were always in competition with each other so the idea of Max owing Haley a favor was torture for him. A fortune-teller told Haley her One True Love was someone from her past, so she is determined to meet all her ex-boyfriends again to find her love. Her mother always said she would know her true love with the first kiss, so Haley makes a list of her ex’s. Unfortunately, doesn’t know how to locate all her high school ex-boyfriends, so she calls in the favor Max owes her. Max thought Haley’s idea was crazy, but he agrees if she will make him a partner in Bowman’s family business. Helping Haley gets complicated as he reintroduces her to the men, especially as the connection between the two of them grow. Will they realize how perfect for each other they are before it is too late?

I love enemies to lovers’ romances. There is a thin, thin line between love and hate, (sung as kelsea's Ballerini). This story is no different, I love the chemistry right off the bat. I was pulled in from the second Max accidentally let the beer fall all over Haley’s head. This is a great romance and perfect for those who love enemies to lovers.

Going back home is always dread for some people, but for Haley Bowman, she has to return for her cousin’s wedding. It's bittersweet because all she wants is to find the guy, she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with. Returning home, not only does it bring up old memories, but it also means facing people who were apart of that life. That is where Max Gallagher comes in, Haley’s nemesis since childhood. Will, they forever be enemies, or will they finally see what is right in front of them?

Everyone saw it but them. They'd have to figure it out on their own. Full of side splitting, laugh out loud moments and a few "hand me a tissue to wipe away the tears" ones also, The Kiss List was impossible to put down!

This was a cute, quick read! This is a clean romance with just a couple of kisses. It was like a book version of a Hallmark movie. The writing flowed well, and I was able to finish the book quickly. The premise of the book was good, but Haley come off pretty desperate at times. It wasn't cute, I kind of felt sorry for her. I was happy to see that her feelings start changing before she gets all the way through the list. Max was a good guy, even though he had baggage of his own. The whole thing with his brother isn't really resolved, but I'm sort of glad it wasn't. I could never forget that kind of betrayal. Forgiveness is one thing, participating in their lives is something completely different. The ending was super sweet, and had me tearing up a little. This was a first for me from this author, but I would definitely read her again.

There's nothing offensive in here, but this hate-to-love romance is disappointingly weak in execution.

To start with, the basic premise of this book does not make any sense, and not in a fun way. After being humiliatingly dumped and going viral in the video of it, Haley returns to her hometown. It is a nice change that she's happy to be returning, where usually in that romance trope the character's pissed about it.

Despite her big romantic disappointment, she's still a hopeless romantic and ready to find love ASAP so that she has a date to her cousin's wedding (and why is she doing so much work for a cousin she loathes???). To this end, she plans a kiss list (since her mom new it was true love at the first kiss, she intends to kiss these guys and find the one). Her kiss list consists entirely of ex-boyfriends from high school...who she has presumably already kissed? And for some reason she cannot remember why the relationships ended until she meets them again? And she has no idea what's going on in their lives even though Facebook exists and she works in marketing so absolutely knows how to use social media????

Even more puzzling is that she demands that her rival, Max, help her, because he understands how guys think. Because revealing your vulnerability is absolutely something you would do with a rival. Makes sense. In opposite world. It's honestly mindboggling, and the novella acts like it makes complete sense, which is fooling NO ONE.

There's potential in Haley and Max, but their romance is hampered by the fact that their foundations are crumbling beneath them. They also seem to like each other too much from the start; it's not a particularly convincing hatred. The banter feels forced, but does occasionally come close to hitting the mark.

The Kiss List feels very strongly like a Hallmark Christmas romance, so if you're into that, you might enjoy this.

Ahhhhhhh this was just such a wonderful book and I just thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didn’t want to put this book down. I just fell in love with this wonderful story and it’s wonderful characters. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.

An enthralling read that will capture your heart. The Kiss List is exceptionally written, with characters and scenery that come alive on the page in front of you. A fantastic and romantic read.

Sweet read. It was enjoyable to read. But in saying that not my type of read. It was well written . Funny in parts.

I really like Haley and Max. This was a super sweet romance with some really cute moments.

THE KISS LIST is a laugh-out-loud, compelling read with relatable characters.

I love Haley and Max, especially their witty banter. Each gave as good as they got. They had me giggling and suppressing my "laugh-out-loud" tendencies. Love their chemistry from their first scene to their last.

I also love the way their romance developed. You can really see the gradual way they moved from enemies to friends to lovers. But really, even when they're "enemies", they sound and act like friends.

I also love Haley's relationship with her father and her friends. A bridezilla is almost the norm for every wedding and I thought Suzie's change of heart toward the end wraps things up a little too nicely. I would've been okay with her continuing to be a bridezilla till the end.

If you're looking for a romantic comedy, be sure to pick this one up. The rom-com part is flawless and natural, making this book a win on all counts. It's already going into my To-Be-Reread pile!

Very cute romance of enemies to lovers and I have to say that it was adorable. The romance was adorable and exciting and the characters were great. The pacing was done well and I loved the small town feel of the story.

This book is so sweet! It is the perfect book to read when you need to just escape into a cute story of two childhood enemies reconnecting. This needs to be a Hallmark movie, ASAP.

After living in LA for a while, after her mother's death, Haley returns to Cherry Creek, North Caroline, as something of an internet celebrity because of a video that goes viral when her famous boyfriend breaks up in front of a lot of people.

Haley was an incurable romantic. Part of it was the fault of his parents' perfect, romantic marriage. And based on their story, she decides that she can only find her soul mate after an unforgettable kiss.

For this, she creates The Kiss List, with the names of her ex-boyfriends.

In order to contact them, she asks for help from her almost number one enemy, Max Gallagher.


Max worked at Haley's father's store and after so many years of dedication, he would like to become a partner. But since Haley was Mr. Bowman's heir, he would need her approval.
Haley promises to approve if Max helps her with her crazy plan.

Sweet, heartfelt, and hilarious, “The Kiss List” has all the makings of the perfect romance. Sonya Weiss is a master at humor and love! “The Kiss List” was a wonderful story that was sweet, funny and romantic in every way. This book is pure Sonya Weiss--fun and sweet with a hint of sexy, and utterly refreshing. I highly recommend it to lovers of contemporary romance. Happy reading everyone!!

This book is for… those who – even after the 137th stereotypical romance – are wooed off their socks by ‘pretend-enemies to lovers’ narratives rich with banter, and give extra points for the tragic icing on the cake.

⤐ Overall.
Reading this plot, the first vibe I got was ‘enemies to lovers’. I was deceived. The characters pretend to not like each other ever since they've first met. That seems rather exhausting and - to be fair - unrealistic in my eyes. It definitely took away much of my excitement for The Kiss List. It's one of these things that seem just a little too fictional to allow full immersion into a book.

According to some listings on Goodreads, this is also a ya book? I am confused. On the one hand, it does explain the very clean romance. Also not a plus point, in my opinion, I'm always down for some steamy scenes in my romance reads. On the other hand, it still doesn't make sense if you look at the story as a whole. Just weird to me. Let's underline I expected more steam and leave it at that.


Despite my critique, I enjoyed this book, which is why I'm rounding up to 3.5 although that technically wouldn't be the case if you take a look at my number rating. The ridiculous moments sometimes weren't all that great but at the end of the day, I didn't not like The Kiss List, so here we are.

Although she enlisted Max to help her find her true love - calling in a favour - the men she meets from her younger years are not quite ... actually, they're total tools, all of them. And while she's still determined to find the one from her list that is perfect, she can't help but notice how much less she despises Max with every hour they spend together.

I really enjoyed reading The Kiss List by Sonya Weiss.
The storyline is entertaining, sweet, fun and it kept my interest from start to end.

Overall, The Kiss List is the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon read and I highly recommend it.

The Kiss List was so much fun and absolutely adorable. I found my self smiling throughout most of the story. It also had a perfect balance of angst as well and I enjoyed reading this. This was my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking to read more.
