Best friends will need to work together to solve problem.
Isabelle and Jayden works together at the Quade Security and Investigation. She is surrounded by alpha males and she wanted to join the team instead of being the secretary. She has been taking multiple martial classes and she has been secretly taking some session with her co workers. She can't wait to be one of the member as long as her boss will okay except best friend Jayden doesn't want her in the field at all.
Now Jayden is injured from his previous mission and had to stay back while all of his team members are back in action. When Isabelle's grandma refers a job for their firm and they might have to work together to solve the problem.
Now Isabelle and Jayden will work together to solve her grandma's friends problems. They plays happily married couple to solve a problem but it seems it's not simple problem they can solve and it seems to be connected to the previous missions. Things are heating up and sparks fly.
Jayden wants to protect Isabelle and she wants to stand on her own. They will need to work together to solve the problem.
It's was page turner for sure and fun read. You can't go wrong with grandma meddling and cute dog who loves heroine more.
Thanks to Netgalley and author for my ARC.

Whhooooooweee!!! This book is wild. The sexual tension between the two main characters is palpable. This book was a lot of fun to read but it was like junk food, a good hit of flavor but not exactly good for you! A quick fun read if you into spicy unlikely spy stories!

This one sounded better than it actually was for me. I wished I could have liked it more than I didn't. Unfortunately, I struggled to even finish it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book has rather good foundations: undercover agents in a spa for couples, fake relationship, unresolved sexual attraction between the main characters and a fairly interesting mystery. That was the recipe for great, but the outcome leans way harder in the so-so spectrum.

I would point out two main strengths of this story. The first chapters when they are full on faking and realize they may want to do more than faking is one. They are kind of cute with each other adn there is even a little bit of room for sense of humour. The second would be the action scenes, but sadly they are pretty rare and they mostly happen in the beginning and the end. Not enough of them to ignore some of the weakest aspects of the story.

I also have several complaints. The mystery should have been an important part of the book, but it is poorly developed and during most of the time doesn’t make any sense. Can anyone tell me what are Jayden and Isabelle investigating in the spa? Because, there is no crime, no proof, no anything… They built a conspiracy theory out of smoke. It was pretty weird. The other big complaint would be the characters. They are pretty plain and sometimes even annoying. Their love story is not one I will remember. Even if I believed in it…

Isabelle wants to be an operative like her best friend Jayden! When she is given the opportunity to go undercover with Jayden to figure out what’s going on in a friend of her grandmothers resort, nothing could have made her happier! But things aren’t always what the seem! First time reading this author but not last! This is a cant put it down book!

I read and reviewed this advanced complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley

Best friends Isabelle and Jayden need to pretend to be a married couple to find out what is going on at a married couple (sex counseling) retreat. Is there really something going on or is Isabelle's grandmother setting them up?

Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC. I was completely drawn in right from the start. It was a tad but predictable but I still enjoyed it.

“While You Were Spying” was one of the best romance books I've read about "fake relationship" and "Best friend" tropes, it was so entertaining, funny, drama filled with sexy moments, and just the right amount of emotion. Absolutely loved it and one of the best books I’ve read by this amazing author. Can’t wait to see what she writes next. Just can’t wait to get my hands on it. Go grab your copy today. Happy reading everyone!

I received a free copy from Netgalley for review. I read about 20% and it was silly and light, and the characters were just set to jet off to a couples' retreat and pretend to be in a relationship to find some dastardly scheme and settle it. It was okay but completely not holding my interest. Others may enjoy the story, but would not recommend as essential for a library collection.

So I did like it, however there was something missing that I just never got. It was fast paced so it kept you pretty entertained. I liked Isabelle and I read this book in one go. I also liked Jayden and he was trying to protect his friend not thinking that she was strong enough to go out in the field, my opinion she is a grown as woman she can decide..Anywoo so they do get there assignment which they have to fake a relationship and you know that nothing stays fake, feelings will get blurred, lines will get crossed and sexiness will happen, this my friends I enjoyed it, and the secondary characters liked them too. and Yes I cracked up my issue was there really was no suspense to me I just felt everything was contrived.

Isabelle works as an office manager at a security/investigation agency but she desperately wants to get out from behind the desk and get out in the field. Jayden is her best friend and an operative at the firm. It's no secret that Jayden thinks Isabelle has no business being an operative; so he is less than happy when their boss sends them undercover as a married couple to help an old friend of Isabelle's grandmother. While playing the part they begin to realize that maybe their feelings aren't just pretend.

Jayden constantly going on about how Isabelle shouldn't be allowed to be an operative was annoying but I guess she like "proved herself" or something. I mean I missed it but apparently it happened... Isabelle's Granny was far more qualified, she was kinda a badass and was the best part of the book for me. And when the bad guy gave his reason for doing these bad guy things I was like 🙄 For real?

This one started out a little slow for me, but by the end, I was totally loving Isabelle and Jayden! A good book!

Isabelle was an office manager for Quade Security and Investigations. But she wanted to become an operative and work out in the field. Her best friend and work colleague was Jayden Price. Jayden at least in his mind was also her personal trainer. Jayden was on a mission to take down a Russian mafia crime boss. Jayden's dog is a big goofball of a Burmese mountain dog. by the name of Mojo who Isabelle watches while Jayden is away. Isabelle's grandmother calls her as she is getting ready to leave for work ad tells her she must stop over before work it was urgent. When Isabelle got to her grandmothers Isabelle wasn't interested in looking to find her happily ever after. She had been badly hurt by the love of her life when she found him cheating on her in their bedroom. her grandmother told her she had an ex boyfriend who needed her help. Aldo Jayden and her would be the perfect couple on this mission. It would also show her boss what she could do. The man was Bernard wanted to talk to Isabelle and Jayden face to face. Jayden and Isabelle would have to stay at the Paradise Springs Resort in Hunting Beach. the would have to go undercover as a happily married couple . One thing Jayden had learned was women had issues with a man who isn't around as much as they wanted. Jayden got shot in his arm and Isabelle knew he had a serious authority comp;ex when it came to following physicians orders. He was to be on medical leave for the next three weeks at the very least.
This is a friends to lovers read. This is an easy read. It had a lot going for it. I loved Jayden and Isabelle and how they interacted together. I loved Isabelle's grandmother and her friends also. I loved the mystery and intrigue in this book. It caught my interest right from the beginning and held it until the end. Once I started reading this I didn't want to put it down. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

This is Isabelle and Jaydens story from Quade security. They both work for a company that takes the jobs the other agencies don’t want to at the expense of getting into trouble. Jayden is an agent and Isabelle wants to be one. She’s ready, so when her grandmas friend needs help and Jayden is off thanks to an injury they go on a mission to solve how information is going missing. What they don’t know is what to expect going into a couples resort. Things will get steamy for these two best friends and not just in the bedroom. Really good book and I enjoyed it a lot.

While I loved the romance in the book and their banter and moments of happiness and steamy scenes, the overall story left me wanting for more of the suspense because it felt a bit weird just to make a romantic suspense that was based more on the romance and not so much on the suspense because it felt just like put out there to get attention but in my opinion it wasn’t developed to its full capacity.
It’s still a great love story that many people will enjoy

Great cover - Got my attention right a way !!

Stina Lindenblatt is a super talented author !!! I throughly enjoyed Jayden & Isabelle’s story. These two go undercover on assignment at the Paradise Springs resort & decide that they’ll act on what was strictly “friends zone” into the friends with benefits zone 🔥🔥

This book has it all - highly entertaining read with great characters who find a great HEA !!

Loved the humor with these two characters , great chemistry & they make such a great couple !!

Highly recommend & can’t wait to read more in the Love Undercover Series !!!

This was my first experience reading this author's work and it was a nice enjoyable read. Jayden and Isabelle are co-workers and friends and end up working undercover together. At times, I found myself thinking it was an overly long read, but then the plot and the chemistry between the two kept me interested and wondering what would happen next. Overall an enjoyable contemporary romance read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

While You Were Spying is the first book in Stila Lindenblott's new Love Undercover series. Ever since Isabelle walked in on her boyfriend with another woman, she's thrown herself into her job. She works as the office manager for Quade Securities and Investigations. but she's vying for a job as an operative in the field. Her grandmother asks her for help and the perfect opportunity presents itself. She needs her best friend and co-worker to play her fake husband to help her grandmother. Soon enough playing pretend becomes a reality and the two go from best friends to lovers.

The chemistry between Isabelle and Jayden is off the charts. I enjoyed the storyline - mystery and romance. The characters are great. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and the author for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
