This book is very real. There is something here for everyone. Something for any of us to relate to. There was such a wide variety of stories in this book. I really enjoyed each and every one of them. I look forward to reading more of this authors works in the future. I felt as though each of the characters in this book were very real, "normal" human beings just like you and me. I learned that we as humans take a lot for granted in life. This book portrays that very well. It makes you take a step back and look at your life. What can I do different? What can I change? How can I better myself? That's a great idea, I should instill that in my own life! These are just a few thoughts that crossed my mind as I read these stories. I highly recommend this book!

I'm not normally a short story reader as I most of the time wish for them to be longer and more developed like a book. I guess they wouldn't be called short stories if they were that. This book consists of 12 stories about various things such as dying, going home, being/staying sober etc. but they all have "human connection" in common. Some I really liked and others not so much, but overall I believe this book achieved what it set out to achieve. Short, relatable stories that the reader could connect with. Maybe not every single one, I didn't, but overall about subjects that we all encounter in our lives. I would have liked to have seen a couple turned into an actual book, but overall it was a good read.

This is a good collection of 12 realistic stories of emotion, struggles, love, and yearning. The characters are well developed and realistic and each has their own story.
Many thanks to Grand Canyon Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Each one of these stories resonates with a presence and pulses with life in a very real way. I liked that each story was complete yet made me reflective in some way. I would love to read more stories from this author in the future and loved the variety and sense of adventure in this book.

I like anthologies and this is a good one. I'm not one for long reviews so I'll just say that these are nicely constructed and contain interesting characters. I suspect some of these may stick with you.

Thanks very much for the ARC for review!!

It was a short storybook. I enjoyed some of them., just did not connect as I wanted. I do enjoy short stories while in waiting, or trip. Give this a try
