This was my first book in awhile from Wendy Walker and she did not disappoint! When Molly disappears, her family is left in the wake of it, trying to figure out what happened.
With split POVs, of Molly and her journey, and her family trying to pick up the pieces, you'll be left with a wonderful novel full of secrets.

Wendy Walker writes really great mysteries. This author can really suck you in and leave you wanting to talk about her books to whomever will listen.
I really like this novel all the way up to the end! The ending just didn't do it for me. To me, it felt rushed.
The buildup of the novel was great. This is where I think I didn't like it because the buildup was so intense and that's what mad you ride the wave of this novel. The author, I thought did a great job leading you to several people who could of done this. Maybe it's me being picky but up till the end was 5 stars, the ending dropped it down to 3.5 stars.
I still really like this author and look forward to her next novel.

WOW! This is one of THOSE books. One you do not want to set down and will carry along with you trying to read another page. No one should bother talking to you because you are IN THE BOOK. I've not read any Wendy Walker titles before but after this one, I'm definitely looking up her back titles.

Molly's life for the last 5 years has been hell. Divided between before and after THE accident, her guilt and misery are the only constants in her life. Her loving family is no more, every day is another day to just get through. As she reflects on how to make things better for her husband, daughter and son, the only thought she has is to leave. Molly is driving home from her son's game when she runs out of gas. Forced to walk in a storm that is quickly turning dangerous, she is lucky to be picked up on this lonely stretch of road. Lucky.
Nicole is Molly's daughter. She bears her own guilt for the accident that has wrecked their family. She knows her treatment of her mother is wrong. When Molly doesn't come home from the football game, she refuses to believe her mother would really just leave, no matter the appearances.

This is the backstory that sets the main story in motion. The story switches between Molly and Nicole as each works their way back together. This book is one of those that requires readers to add sound effects....all of the OH NO and DONT DO THAT and gasps that signal a very good book. Get ready for an all nighter, there is no waiting until tomorrow to find out what happens. Just a VERY good book.

Perhaps by favorite thriller of 2020. I found it to be "un-put-down-able" and I loved it! I think it's my favorite Wendy Walker thriller to date, and I loved Emma in the Night

I loved this book. A great read! Characters were well developed, complex and the plot was intoxicating. One of my favorites this year! I highly recommend it!

This was such a mysterious, atmospheric read! One thing I really appreciated about this book was the fact that none of the characters was perfect. Too often, books like this make characters into very obvious heroes or villains. This book dealt with an ordinary family going through an extraordinary situation - it had a very authentic feel.

The mystery itself was very well done. While it wasn't necessarily the *best* mystery/thriller, it was very entertaining and did keep me on the edge of my seat. There were enough twists and turns and false leads to keep me guessing up until the end. I had lots of theories while reading this book, but never quite put everything together 100%, which is a win for me. But when the final reveals were played out, it didn't feel like I'd been "hood-winked," so to speak - I was able to think back along the story and see that all of the pieces did, in fact, fit nicely into place. Another win.

Overall, this was a solid, entertaining 4 star read. Yet another author I will definitely been keeping an eye on!

This was my first Wendy Walker book I have read. The plot sounded interesting and like the book would be full of twists and turns. I feel like it did disappoint a little bit. I felt like it was pretty predictable and none of the characters were very likeable. For me it was just an OK read. It held my attention but I was also bored with it at times.

In turns creepy, scary, heart wrenching, and suspenseful, Don’t Look For Me is quite unforgettable. Wendy Walker has created a tale of good and evil, and the struggle to discern them. For Molly Clarke, what begins as assistance during a storm, quickly escalates into a fight for her life. Don’t miss this twisted thriller.

Wendy Walker, you have done it again. I couldn't put this book down, it had me sucked in from the very first chapter. There were so many twists and turns I didn't see coming, the story was set up perfectly. The character development was great and I loved the two points of view in the story, between the daughter and the mother you really got a feel of the whole story and all of the details.

Excellent, excellent book, she is truly an amazing suspense builder.

Thank you so much to St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

Don’t look for me is a fast paced thriller. I was hooked from page 1 and had to know what really happened. Molly has a lot of guilt to process leading her family to think she walked away. But not everything is as it seems and this fast paced thriller lets that be known quickly, while still keeping you engaged. Thank you Netgalley and St Martin’s Press for my gifted copy.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a ride. And I was here for it.

This review may be slightly spoiler-y if yo don't like to know anything going into a thriller, so just beware reading on.

One rainy night Molly disappears, and this is the story of what happened.

I feel weird that I really felt like I related with the main character, Molly. We basically had the same brain. Is that strange?

The main character is smart, scrappy, and doesn't take her situation lying down. Because one thing I love about a thriller where the MC has been kidnapped, and they actually try to escape. Maybe because I am on a Survivor binge watch journey, but I love that she see the cracks in the villains plans and will do anything to use them for her benefit.

And the relationship she builds with the kidnapper's young daughter is so complex and confusing, and I loved that part of the story.

I also loved her daughter Nic's Point of view. She's trying to find her mother even though their relationship is strained. She will do anything to find her mom, meets quite a cast of characters in a creepy small along the way, and doesn't know who she can trust.

If you love a suspense that keep you turning the pages, I think you should pick this up! You will be theorizing, follow red herrings and find the last reveals actually shocking.

TW/CW: death of a child, kidnapping, gaslighting, murder

Don't Look For Me is a sit on the edge of your seat thriller! I loved the dual POVs between missing mother and sleuthing daughter. Even with the two perspectives, I continued to question my guesses as to what was going to happen as I read. If you are looking for a quick-paced thriller I highly recommend Don't Look For Me by Wendy Walker.

Molly goes missing one stormy night. Her husband doesn’t notice her missing till later the next day. All they find is her car and cellphone abandoned after it ran out of gas. It’s the anniversary of her daughter's death and they don’t know if she just walked away from her life or if something happened to her. The story has many twists and her other daughter doesn’t know who to trust while looking for her. A great mystery to read.

Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

It was a dark and stormy night when Molly Clarke disappeared. All evidence points to her having walked away from her life, and who could blame her? Tragedy had overwhelmed all else and it would make sense for her to want to leave it all behind her, especially after a particularly nasty argument with her daughter, Nicole. But of course the most obvious answer isn't always the correct one. And as Nicole tries to piece together what happened to Molly we get a twisty, turny psychological thriller of a book that kept me engaged and guessing. I don't want to say much more, because I don't want to give anything away. But I definitely recommend this one for anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers.

Don’t Look for Me
5 stars
Wow wow wow. This book was so amazing! I read a lot of thrillers and am considered a thriller snob and this book deserves 5.5 stars! It was really unique and original. It’s emotional and heart wrenching but also action packed and though provoking. It’s exciting but also a nail biter. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. I couldn’t put it down from start to finish. I loved it so much and recommend this book a thousand times to everyone! I look forward to reading everything from this author in the future!

This is the best Wendy Walker book I've read so far!

The story of a woman abducted. A man deranged. A daughter determined to find her.

The way this story unfolded was really unique. I tend to read a lot of thrillers and sometimes they all run together, but I have a feeling this one will stick with me for a while. I thought the way the author introduced us to the abductor early on without telling us his name or identity was pretty unique, so we were able to see both sides of this story, the perspective of the woman in captivity and the perspective of those who were searching for her. And when the stories eventually converged in the end, there was a surprise that I never saw coming!

This book reminded me a lot of Intensity by Dean Koontz so if you were a fan of that one, I think you would really enjoy .

Entertaining but with an unlikable main character. It was a little too long but good. It is a hunting story and sad. Good thriller
