Ok. Pardon my French but, what the fuck did I read? And, is there a support group for people who read this book? I don’t think I’m quite the same after reading this.

WHAT A FREAKING RIDE!

I first found out about Wendy Walker when I requested an ARC for her book The Night Before. And I remember that book had me on the edge of my seat. Between the back and forth and past and present and omg a ride. A RIDE I TELL YOU!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to read her new one. And that’s where my anxiety and trust issues began
Molly is your average mom and devoted wife. She adores her two kids, Nicole and Evan. We see their relationship is kind of estranged, broken it may seem. Her marriage is on the rocks and there’s suspicions of a possible affair on her husband’s behalf. And all this time we wonder, why? She seems to be so in love, and she loves her children. We find out later. And its heartbreaking.

The pacing of this book much to my surprise is quite good. Not too slow not to fast, just right. The way she writes makes you feel like you’re part of the story, like a by stander wanting to help but with tied hands. It’s a bit frustrating because I found myself telling one of the characters “girl you out yo damn mind getting in that damn car!” but alas she didn’t hear me. And the perils unfolded.

It’s a web of lies and no one is to be trusted. NO ONE.

One thing I did not like at all, it felt a bit like her previous book. I don’t know if this is more like a pattern or if its just a coincidence, but to me it felt like that.

I can’t force you to go out and buy this book, but I will tell you its worth the read. It’s worth the anxiety. And its worth the drama.

I took longer the usual because my job is very time consuming but once I started reading, I would look for any small-time window to read as much as I could!! I do recommend it and I do wish you like it too! I can honestly say I give this book 4 stars 😀

Wendy Walker has done it again with Don’t Look for Me.

Love, love, love and creepy crazy read. Not my first Walker read, but definitely my favorite. Some of the previous had some slow spots for me, but this one stayed steady the whole time. Highly recommended to anyone that likes a suspenseful twisty read. Thanks to the publishers and net galley for the early release copy.

This has been the first book in quite awhile that I REALLY did not want to put down. I’ve enjoyed the 2 other books I’ve read by Wendy Walker but this one has been my favorite. Thank you for the early copy St. Martins Press and Netgalley!

I was hesitant about this book as I didn’t enjoy the authors last book, The Night Before. I am SO glad that I gave it a chance though! Don’t Look for Me has turned out to be Walker’s best novel yet!

This was such a page turner that I couldn’t put it down. When Walker is good she is AMAZING. The mystery kept me constantly guessing, and I was truly shocked at the ending.
4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Fantastic!

Did her mother really disappear and leave her family?
Wendy Walker’s “Don’t Look for Me” comes hot on the heels of “All is Not Forgotten” and “Emma in the Night” (books I was also given the oppourtunity to read and enjoy). This novel almost reached five-star status for me (as these other two novels did) but I had to drop it half a star toward the end. Read on…………..
This novel is told in alternating narratives, from the perspectives of Molly and Nicole. Molly narrates in the first person, and Nicole in the third person, alternating chapters. This makes the plot line easy to follow and helps the reader understand both protagonists from a deeper perspective. The mother-daughter bond is highlighted in this novel, both between Molly and Nicole, and between Molly and Alice (although in a very skewed and damaged way) .
This book reads a little bit like “You” or “Room”, but it is different enough to earn credit all on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed how it played out, and the ending provided a satisfying conclusion. As mentioned above, there was one moment toward the end of the novel that caught me off guard and had me re-reading a few pages as I felt I had missed something. The story had been narrated by Molly at this time, and then it abruptly changed and another character was introduced with very little warning. This threw me for a bit of a loop and I would’ve liked a little bit more of a lead up, since the character ended up being so pertinent to the entire story structure.
I love Wendy Walker and I definitely enjoy her pulse-pounding, gripping novels. They provide everything needed to satisfy my psychological thriller desires. Walker has not slowed down in her ability to provide suspenseful novels, and I cannot wait to see what she releases next.

Ms. Walker has done it again!

This book gave me chills, thrills, and bumps! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. Try not to read anything going into this one, as it is best to go into it blind (of course you can read my review)! I won't give anything away. All I can say, is you won't be disappointed in the least. This book has its share of surprises, as well has twists. In addition, the characters are both relatable and unpredictable. You definitely can't seem to get into their heads.

Psychological thriller fans will rejoice! This one is a winner!

As soon as I started this book, I was sucked right into the plot. This is a story about a family suffering from a terrible tragedy. They are broken and unsure how to connect with each other. When Molly disappears on her way home one day, the police are convinced this mother couldn't deal with her grief and simply walked away. After a note is discovered saying, "don't look for me", her daughter Nicole is not so sure her mom would simply leave.
So begins a fast paced, suspenseful tale of the search for Molly. I was riveted to this book. Wasn't sure who the good or bad guys were until the very end. This book would definitely appeal to someone wanting a mystery with twist and turns!

An unputdownable, highly suspenseful thriller that will surely be on my top 10 year-end list!

This is the story of a woman named Molly, who after a family tragedy, seemingly decides to walk away from her current life to start anew. The only thing is, when her family and the police find a note from her, it doesn’t necessarily close all doors...but opens new ones.

I was hooked from the very beginning and could feel the pain Molly felt when she decides to walk away. From there, I was blindsighted by a twisted plot that I did not see coming. The story is told from the day Molly walks away from going back to her family, as well as from her daughter, Nic’s, perspective...two weeks after the fact.

I was gripped by every aspect of this novel due to the clever writing, and both of the perspectives are equally suspenseful and gripping. I highly recommend for those that like a fast-paced thriller with amazing character development, emotions, and a need to soldier on when you’re finished with the chapter you just finished!

This was GREAT!! i don't want to give anything away so I am just gonna say, go into this BLIND!! The less you know, the creepier it is! Told from 2 POV's in short chapters. Each chapter ends very ominously, then switches to the other POV, which will also end ominously......and back and forth like that until you get to one of the CRAZIEST finales I have ever read! Wendy Walker just jumped to the top of my list of Read With No Questions Asked!

I am having a hard time with this one - 3.5 rounded down to 3..

A mother is not supposed to lose a child. I could feel the pain in Don't Look for Me. Molly Clarke has lost her daughter, and if that's not bad enough, she's lost her in the most agonizing way possible. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to lose a child, but I could feel Molly's pain throughout this novel. The gut-wrenching guilt and hatred that consumed her from page one was sometimes overwhelming. It was easy to understand why she might want to run away without a trace. But, did she? She's gone, but was it by her own volition?

I liked the story line of Don't Look for Me quite a bit, but I read a lot of mystery novels and unfortunately, this one didn't necessarily stick out from the rest. I was actually hoping the book would go in a different direction - for a second, you think it's going to go one way, but then it goes another. I think if it had gone the way I was hoping, I would have been more intrigued.

I appreciated the family dynamics and how impossible it can be to keep a family together when you have such a horrible loss. I wish we would have dug a but more into the dynamics of a broken family and how each person handles what loss means to them. I felt like this part didn't get touched on as much as I would have liked.

Yes, there was a pretty big plot twist towards the end of the book that I wasn't really expecting, and yes the book was a good time, but it didn't leave me thinking, it didn't leave me wishing for more. The book was a good time but that's about it. I really think those new to mystery will love this novel but because I have been around the block a couple of times, I didn't find myself as shocked as I would have liked.

Overall, it was a good book that I would recommend.

Be prepared to have time for reading when you pick up Don't Look for Me. Once I started it, I did not want to put it down.

So many twists and turns, you never knew what would happen next. Wendy Walker has done an amazing job with this book. It was one I couldn't wait to finish to see how it all ended but enjoyed it so much that I hated to see it come to an end.

This was my second Wendy Walker book and she did not disappoint. I flew through this book because it was such a page turner. Some parts were predictable but there were some surprises. I kept trying to figure them out and couldn’t. This is a must-read to add to your TBR list! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Holy sh*t, this BOOK!!!!! Wow! I literally couldn’t put this down. I started reading two days ago and picked it up today at about 40%... 4 hours later and I’m done! Molly Clarke is a broken woman, feeling unloved by her family and guilt for the death of her youngest child. When she disappears one night while driving through Hastings, her family is concerned... Until they find charges on her credit card at a local casino and a note signed by Molly telling her family she just had to walk away... but Nic, her oldest daughter, isn’t buying it and when a tip comes in she’s brought back to the town of Hastings to find her mother, dead or alive! The POV switches from Nic to Molly; the former going through her attempts at finding her mother and the latter discussing her experience with the man she knows as Mick and his daughter Alice. The twists in this book seriously had me re-reading the page thinking to myself “wait, WHAT??” and I think I actually said holy sh*t out loud at one point! I really enjoyed Wendy Walker’s other book, The Night Before and will now be adding all of her others to my TBR pile!! Fantastic job Ms. Walker!

I've never read Wendy Walker before, and I was NOT disappointed! If anyone remembers Under the Beetles Cellar by Mary Willis Walker, the pacing and tension are reminiscent of her great books. Love it, fan for life! Thank you!

This book was one crazy ride! It had many twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. Definitely one twisted read and I loved it! The vibe is dark. I LOVED that I didn’t figure out the ending! It’s refreshing not to figure out who did it or how it would end before the actual ending. Very well done, Miss Walker. The characters were pretty good. Some I felt for and some I wished they had gotten theirs. There’s a lot of emotional scenes. I did tear up at some of them. This was such a smashing and thrilling read! I was thoroughly engaged and didn’t stop reading till I got to the end. Fabulous! I look forward to reading more books by this author. I give this 5 stars.

A good mystery thriller that kept me guessing. There were enough twists that I didn’t figure it out immediately, and I finished reading it in one sitting because it was compelling enough.
I wish the end had given a better view of what the characters’ lives looked like, and a more detailed picture of how things were resolved. Overall I enjoyed the book.

Don't Look for Me by Wendy Walker sucks the reader in from the very beginning. What happened to Molly Clarke? Did she just walk away from her family or has something more sinister happened? This book was a little creepy at times and had a few twists and turns. Overall, I liked it; I'm just not sure if the ending worked for me. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of the thriller/suspense genre. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Oh, my gosh! Wendy Walker’s book kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I knew who was behind the whole thing, another clue would pop up.
Molly Clarke has had a bad few years. She has to live with the fact that she hit and killed her young daughter with the car. Never mind that the police have cleared her completely, Molly feels guilty. All of this has impacted her relationships with her husband, son and other daughter.
Molly is on the road returning from watching her son’s game (he’s away at school), when she realizes she has waited too long to get gas. There’s a huge storm going on, and the power is out in the area, so the gas station is closed. Her cell is not working, and she is unsure about what to do, when a man and his daughter stop to check on her. Molly reluctantly accepts a ride — and the story begins.
You can’t go wrong with this book.
