I grew up in a small farming community in North Dakota, so a lot of what this author wrote about is familiar to me. Especially the sense of community. Liked this one overall, but some of the past tended to feel a bit cluttered for the story to me. Might just be me. Overall I did like it and would recommend this book.

It was a bit okay, and quick and easy read.
But it was missing something ...some chemistry and character growth.
So this book was not for me.

Amber Waves of Grace was an uplifting story centered on redemption and grace. The main character, Corrie, displayed an unbelievable amount of strength with everything that her family endured. But her quick wit kept me laughing, despite all the setbacks. I found Aaron a little too easygoing and forgiving for the way Corrie continually pushed him away. For all the heartbreak and setbacks embedded within the plot, their love story seemed a little too easy. Overall, it was a great read and Jessica Berg May become one of my favorite authors.
