This is a great, easy to use prayer book. I think I’ll end up purchasing a few to give as gifts. I especially liked how it was broken down.

This read is a good little quick daily devotional. There is a bible passage and then a prayer written by the authors. If you like that style of devotion then you will love this book. I personally prefer devotionals to explain the passage a little better thus the rating I gave it.

Thank you to the publishers for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am reviewing a copy of Nevertheless, She Prayed through Barbour Publishing and Netgalley:

This devotional helps to answer the question as to what faith is. We are reminded that without Faith it is impossible to without faith it is impossible to please Him. Faith is revealed through Salvation. We are reminded too that everyone has some hurt and pain in there life.

This book reminds us too of putting aside ourselves and our worries in order to share our faith with others is crucial.

We are reminded too that even when life feels hopeless, there is hope in the Lord. We are reminded too that we can find God in our lives in a Myriad of ways.

Nevertheless, She Prayed is the perfect devotional to help you grow in faith, these brief devotionals, are inspired by Ephesians 1:15-23 and will help you celebrate the beautiful gift that is prayer and will strengthen your heart connection to the Master Creator. You will discover a deeper understanding and love for the One who holds the whole world in His hands.

3.5 star rating

This would be ideal for someone wanting to read a page everyday during a devotion time, or given as a gift to women living a Christian lifestyle.

The scripture of Ephesians 1: 15-23 is central to the reflections written in this book, as each page of prayers was written by a different person..

Paul Prays for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation
15.Because of this, since I first heard about your strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your tender love toward all his devoted ones, 16.my heart is always full and overflowing with thanks to God for you as I constantly remember you in my prayers. 17.I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.
18.I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!
19.I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power 20.that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm! 21.And now he is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming!
22.And he alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the church. God has put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and has given him the highest rank above all others. 23.And now we, his church, are his body on the earth and that which fills him who is being filled by it! (TPT)

The Ephesians passage is the overarching scripture and central to each of the entries, but I did not feel that any were repetitive.

I enjoyed the consistent layout. Each page entry has a short heading, a shorter focus scripture different from the overarching scripture passage and a written prayer, followed by the name of the contributor.
They were written by a different person each, but they were tied together nicely.

I was able to understand the reasons why the scripture and prayer were needed to be read,
Many times the prayers on the page felt like they were written for me, my heart needing to focus on the goodness of God.

This is a powerful little book!

The book contains daily devotionals on prayer that helps you become a deeper follower of Jesus. I really liked they way the way the authors presented them in a way that was easy to understand. Ephesians has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible and the devotionals are based on
Ephesians !: 15-23. The authors did a great job in using this passage to help us to become a better person of prayer and what it means to do so.

This devotional was beautifully done and I was really impressed. I would highly recommend this to others who want to improve their prayer life.

Ephesians 1:15-23 is a powerful example of praying and thanksgiving. This book provides easily digestible, but deeply satisfying devotionals related to aspects of this specific passage. There are many times it is difficult to pour out the words in my heart and these prayers are a tangible vessel to facilitate those moments of conversation with the Lord. The format is simple: A title, a passage of Scripture and then a prayer offered by various women to reflect the beauty of that passage in our everyday lives. Can be read in order or as topics press on your heart. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and all opinions expressed are solely my own.

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel a strong need to pray, but the words to express your thoughts just won’t come? That is exactly the time that a book like Nevertheless, She Prayed is an invaluable resource. This book focuses on passages from the book of Ephesians and couples each passage with a substantial, expressive prayer that relates both to the passage and to everyday life. You might choose to use this book as part of a Bible study on Ephesians, as a daily devotional, as a model for how you can use a passage of scripture to pray around, or as a way to communicate with God even when your own words are hard to find. Regardless of how one chooses to use the book, the results will be the same: a strong prayer life and a more intimate relationship with God. Thanks go to NetGalley and Barbour Publishing for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
