Stopped reading after the use of the word "midget" for a little person several times. Offensive and it wouldn't have taken much to use a different description...especially in a children's book.

Also, a pretty boring book before that.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC for an honest review.

Keah lives in an apartment with her mom. She has been hearing strange noises that make no sense to her. Leah hears someone knocking on her door. When she answers it, there. Is a pizza delivery which was not ordered. He says okay and leaves. She hears a funny noise but ignores it. When the following day another pizza boy comes to her apartment, she is puzzled but says no one ordered the five pizzas. Keah lives in an apartment with her mom. In 1964 NASA four trained chimpanzees (were trained to live on the planet Mars) were sent to Mars. Only the rocket didn’t make it to Mars. It has been 55 years. NASA has given up to finding what happened to the rocket and chimps. When a police detective visits Keah, he asks her about the pizza boys that delivered pizza to her apartment. She tells him, she has no idea what happened to them. Keah tells her friends about the disappearing pizza boys and the police detective. One of her friends says that her building has tunnels that go under it and hidden rooms in the apartment building itself. Keah and her friends decide to investigate. What will they find? How will they find a way to get to the closed underground tunnels?

The story is a mystery with twists and turns that surprised me. I enjoyed how Keah finds out what was making all those strange noises. I hope there will be more stories about Keah.
